      "Valued customer since 2007" per my $83 Spectrum internet monthly bill, but finally have an alternative internet provider so called to cancel with Spectrum, 21 minutes and 3 "mandatory" offer spiels later they finally said they would cancel my account today, but oh by the way we are going to charge you for the next 28 days since we are a monthly subscription service. WORST USA CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Good riddance and I hope they finally lose their monopoly!

      Have been a customer with Spectrum/ Charter for over 10 years. I have paid my bill in full every month! First, they added a cell phone charge to my monthly bill without my permission. In fact , I said “No” to the cell phone they offered me. Then they double billed me and added this random $54.74 charge to my mobile app only. It never appeared on my paper bill. So I paid the charge then disputed it along with the cell phone charge. My credit card credited back the funds after Spectrum couldn’t or wouldn’t explain the charge. Before disputing the charge I had talked to numerous Spectrum employees including billing people who were all rude and unhelpful. This all took place near the first of the year so I thought it was resolved and continued to pay my bill in full every month. Neither my mobile app nor my paper bill ever showed this charge. Then in May I got a call from a number with a local area code even though this company is not local, but they said they were a collection agency collecting this $54.74 for Spectrum. I filed a complaint with my Attorney General’s office, and after demanding they answer me in writing finally got a letter saying it was an error on their part, and they were crediting me back that money. So this is how this company treats their long term, good customers! They have been awful with customer service and product service since day 1 of my over 10 years with them. Our town is working on getting fiber optic so we all can drop Spectrum for good! Oh, and my bill is each month is that I pay is almost 3 times that bogus $54.74.

      I had to make a call to spectrum to cancel service for my elderly mother in law because they WOULD NOT cancel service for her, and kept trying to talk her into upgrades. WHILE SHE WAS TRYING TO CANCEL SERVICE! And on top of that, they are going to try to charge her account for another month of service. (convenient huh, 4 days into next cycle) I helped her to cancel the card auto pay, and we will be canceling any spectrum attempts to steal money from her. I am looking into the feasibility of a lawsuit. Also, she has been paying for YEARS for cable she didnt even use.

      Door to door salesman signed me up. I never used the service but have a collection item for $423.00 and they will not remove it.

      We ordered spectrum for my grandmother in Washington. When they came out a month ago for the install, they cut her direct tv line and another line. She ended up with no internet and no tv for a couple of weeks. We’ve had 7 visits from spectrum or sub contractors of theirs. Then they told her she had a past due bill for service she didn’t have. When I called the customer service rep, although calm was absolutely no help. I had to escalate to his manager. I was finally able to get a credit added to next month’s bill. Total chaos, lack of good customer service, installers do a terrible job. Would not recommend.

      Refuses to allow me to drop tv service because I am in mid bill cycle which means I owe the next month for over a year. They basically hold hostage.

      I’ve never dealt with a company as shamelessly anti-customer as Spectrum. I canceled my internet service only 4 days into the billing cycle — no contract, no obligations — yet they’re trying to charge me for an entire month. They flat-out refused to prorate anything.
      Worse, when I lost service multiple times in the past (including a stretch where I was down 8 days in one month), they only offered $0.80 per day as a “credit,” even though the outages were completely on their end. They don’t proactively issue refunds like Google Fiber or other modern providers do — they make you chase them for pennies.
      I’ve filed a complaint with the FCC and my State Attorney General. If you have a choice, avoid Spectrum. Their billing policies are outdated, their customer service is robotic, and their loyalty to paying customers is nonexistent.

      Been trying to canceal service since Feb. Still being billed to this day. Call every month a have to be ugly. The say the take notes and lines are recorded but ask them for copy of the notes they won't give them unless you file a lawsuit against them. This is the biggest scam company I've seen. Just try to cancel and listen to the bs they spill. We can lower your bill if you do this. No just cancel. They won't let you. **** company

      FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are promised a rebate card for switching your phone lines DO NOT REQUEST A VIRTUAL CARD! You cannot use this card anywhere except for ***** ****  So their advertising should state if you choose a virtual Card you can only use at Apply Pay. If you order anything on line or even try to use at Walmart or any major retailer they will not take this card. Its a ripoff!

      Terrible customer service and an awful company. On May 8 I called to acquire some pricing on home internet and cable. At first, everything went well and I was supposed to get a call the next day to get my decision. Come a week later I never get a call but, a box is delivered. I think nothing of it. It’s then a month later and I soon get bills sent over text. After the text messages, I called and tried to see if I could dispute them as I have not used their services. The call pretty much consists of them dicking me around for an hour with the conclusion that I have to pay for something I haven’t even used because it’s passed the 30 days. Mind you they didn’t even notify me that it was a thing as I didn’t even ask to have it delivered. While I get that this is their policy, how would I even know that? To me, this is unacceptable and should never happen to anyone
