It is rare that I write a review for bad service (I usually move on and don't provide repeat business). In this case, not only was there bad service, there was also clear fraudulent behavior. I brought my car in for a recall which required an ECM reprogram. I was initially told that the car did not require the reprogram (I have a receipt that confirms this). As I prepared to take my car home, I noticed that the check engine light came on. I've owned my car (Infiniti Q50) for 9 years, don't drive it much (42k miles in 9 years) and have never had an issue with it. Given that I was still on the premises, I made the service advisor aware of the check engine light. He came up with a ridiculous story of this being common with ECM reprograms. I would have to leave my car overnight as it would require the technician to remove the engine and piece it back together ($4,000 cost). I called him out as both he and the receipt in hand confirmed that there was no reprogram. He followed it up with that a mistake was made and that the reprogram did indeed happen. I proceeded to go home and made a call to corporate. Long story short...corporate reached out and communicated that the technician has now confirmed that the car required a valve replacement and harness repair. Very different from what I was told prior and a lot cheaper than a $4,000 job. What’s interesting about this entire saga…the dealership always gives a receipt with recommended jobs. I'm in possession of 2 receipts and neither reference the valve replacement nor harness repair. I personally believe something foul was done to my vehicle. I will never ever go back to Bruce Bennett Infiniti of Danbury and I suggest you stay clear of them.

Absolutely refused to let us get a 3rd party inspection on a used car before purchase. The place we wanted to take it was literally just down the road. We would pay for the inspection of course. They made up BS about being worried the inspectors would steal car parts. Absurd... If true, there are legal remedies for that. It isn't me, the customer's, responsibility (and our prefered inspection location were friendly and reputable). Asked to do the third party inspection several times. They gave us soft "no"s at first but brought out different managers to tell us no in different ways. Spotty service history on the car in carfax so no inspection was out of the question. Finally we gave them the ultimatum, we do the inspection or we walk. Needless to say, wwalked out and were treated very rudely. "We don't need your business" sort of rude. We have a right by law to have a third party inspection done before the purchase of a used car so we will be reporting them.
      Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Beware!! Shady operation. Made an appointment to look at a specific used car that was advertised online. Made an appointment to go see it. Salesman sat me down and tried to sell me a new car. Told him I wasn't interested. He brought out another car to test drive and I noticed immediately it wasn't the same car and cost over $5K more. When asked where the car I was interested in was, he informed me that car had been sold. After voicing my displeasure with their tactics, I immediately left the dealership. They employed the classic bait and switch tactic just to get a customer in the dealership and then upsell them. Steer clear of this unscrupulous operation.

Purchased a car April 6th. When my temp plate expired I called in to ask when my plate would be available since mine had expired. They told me "since I'm out of state it takes longer sometimes" (crazy since almost every car I've ever purchased was out of state). Another 2 weeks passed and I called back to explain I needed a plate as I commute to work. They told me "change the date with a marker and write MB and circle it" I said um ok? Within 2 days I was pulled over and told that isn't a thing. Luckily only received a warning. At this point I called back and voiced strongly that I needed a plate. Either my plate, or a dealer plate. I can't keep driving to work on an expired plate. They apologized and changed the story from me being out of state to their DMV lady quit. So when someone else filed my DMV slips it wasn't done correctly and they'd just been re filed. Now they said they would over night me a dealer plate. 4 days went by and nothing. So I called again and was told they would get me a dealer plate out. 2 days passed, so I decided to leave a Google review. They called my wife and told her they were sorry they didn't know what happened, they never saw the note to mail me a dealer plate and would over night me a dealer plate. Going on my 3rd day since that call. Still no plate. This dealership is a mess, I'd highly recommend avoiding it.

This dealership is the lowest of the lowest! My son was interested in a car that was posted on line. He called and they said it was “on the lot”. He traveled two hours to be told that it sold over a week ago! Total BS! Had to give it 1 star but wish there was a negative star rating.

This dealership ( Bruce Bennet Nissan)false advertised deals and did a bait and switch on me. I called interested in a spesific used vehicle. They said it was available! I made an appointment for the next day and traveled long distance because availability was confirmed. When i get there i was told that it sold the day before.
They tried tried to sell me something else. They used the excuses that the website did not update right away, but after 2 days the same car is listed on their website. I asked friend to call and ask for the availability of the same vehicle and they told my friend it was available and to come in the next day for a test drive. I took time off from work and spend money traveling with the expectation of purchasing the car. This is unethical and I do not trust this company and would not recommend it to anyone. Bad business! I do not appreciate dishonesty!

I cannot even begin to express my disappointment.
In my lifetime I have probably owned 15 Nissans. The past three from Bruce Bennett. I’ve never felt more taken advantage of. I went to the dealership and was 100% honest about what I wanted to leave down and what I wanted my monthly payment to be.
I understand the price of cars has gone up considerably ( what I paid and what I got is disgusting )
My one request was after the paperwork is all said and done. Please don’t stick me in the room with the man or woman who asks you for even more money. I want a final price.
I live on a budget. This is what I can afford. What happens????? I go into the room with the lady and all of a sudden the monthly lease payment is now $50 more than what I was promised. I start to walk out of the dealership and oh no oh no we found some sort of coupon. OK….fine I’ll still go ahead with it. I knew at that point something was very wrong. I should have walked.
The day I pick up the car (once they had my money) They couldn’t even be bothered to show me the car. They gave me a BRAND NEW car with a horn that was not working.
You’ll never know how truly dangerous it is to drive a car without a horn until it happens. I had to make two more trips in order to have it replaced.
Now not even TWO months in to leasing this car and the bottom bumper (with no damage no scrapes no nothing) has started to pull away and looks like it needs to be snapped back in. Once again I have to take time off from my job to go to the dealership.
Thank God for the people in the service department. They have been nothing but wonderful, I cannot say the same for the sales department. I will never buy or lease another car from this dealership again. If anything else goes wrong with this BRAND NEW car, I will be calling the Better Business Bureau.

WARNING; Tonight the dealership tried to bamboozle me with inflated and made up fees due to their error in the car being priced $1,000 less on the Carfax they provided me and on CarGurus in comparison to their dealership website. When they were called out they tried to justify the $1,000 miscellaneous fees. I am a female going to purchase a car and felt completely taken advantage of tonight. This is disgusting and shameful business practice. Additionally, an employee walks around with a vape pen inside the dealership puffing away. Deplorable. I caution others. Please find another Nissan dealership to purchase a car.
