1 starCleanchoice ***resentative turned up in my apartment complex, claiming to be working with eversource and that they will be switching our supplier and that I just need to acknowledge the change is taking place. Framed very much as a natural change in supplier by the company, not as a consumer decision. Incredibly disingenous. Only in the final steps of the process did it become clear this was not in fact a change taking place already but a "sales pitch" to change to this supplier on the spot. Immediately after the *** left, I contacted eversource to put a block on supplier switches in my account and contacted the leasing office to warn other residents.Review fromJacob L

1 starSalesman claiming to be from the power company went door to door (without permission from my apartment complex), signing residents up for an energy rate more expensive than the basic rate by the actual power company. I was unable to get ahold of clean choice and had to call my electric company to cancel the transition. Extremely dishonest and shady company who will prey on those who dont know any better.Review fromDaniel G

1 starSent misleading letters for months making it look like I had to switch to their company. Now just yesterday they had representatives posing as ComEd employees come to my building trying to trick us into giving them our account number by stating that they wanted to make sure we had the correct account number since theyve changed all so they could sign us up for clean choice without our permission.Review fromDemain M

Signed up under the pretense that the rates would essentially remain unchanged or slightly higher than ConEdison. It was a total lie, with my bills steadily increasing to double and triple to ConEdison rates. Cancelling ASAP and will not return.

In addition, we receive new rate plans every month and are always more than happy to review them with our customers at any time. There are never fees to make changes to your account and "shopping" with us is one of our biggest benefits. Reviewing your account, we show we show you contacted our Customer Experience Team to discuss available rates in August and successfully took advantage of a new 24 month rate plan. Great! Absolutely love the company. The Cincinnati reps came to my home very well spoken and kindly explained everything on my bill that I wasnt suppose to have and helped the rest of my neighbors as well. The updated bill after a couple months made me a very happy.CleanChoice Energy Inc

1 starScam alert! I keep getting mailings in my son's name. When I called to question why I was told the info came from Con *** LIE! My son's name is not on the bill or account. I verified this with Con *** I asked to be taken off the mailing list and was told it would take 90 days. I demanded immediate removal and was told no it takes 90 days. 1 starThey sneak into our closed-access apartment building and pretend to be the local utility company (PSE&G) in order to sign up with them. They also send scam letters labeled with ***************** PSE&G", "Enclosed: Authorization Form", and "SECOND ATTEMPT" to try to scare people into thinking this is something they're obligated to do/that this is actually PSE&G.This is a scam company, plain and simple.
