DO NOT USE CIBT!!! They are a scam! They charge outrageous prices, and have numerous hidden fees. They have caused me many inconveniences, from hanging up on me during customer **********************, to faulty phone answering systems, to server errors and miscommunications, to unclear instructions. They also make it difficult to change the requested back date so you are inclined to pay more for faster service. They do not provide any assistance or consulting for visas unless you pay for their $700 premium service. Also, the price listed on the website is not the price that will be charged (they charge more). Just use your local visa consultant, trust me, it will be MUCH better.

just out of this world how they think they can get away with charges on unsuspected clients all the excessive fees for services that are not necessary and have not been rendered... i'm being charged for over $1,000 in two separate credit card ******** "BEFORE" my ********** is reviewed and submitted to the local consulate... they agreed to remove the "rush" fee which i didn't ask. i started the process 1 month before my departure date, etc ... canceled the order and asked to pay full services fee ... for what?! for your over charges? or the time i wasted on my application and the 5min phone call with you?? Avoid ... avoid... i seriously don't know how they got an A rating from BBB... you guys need to protect your reputations before putting a stamp approval this scammy practice!!! Wish there is a "Negative" star rating system ...

CIBT was recommended by our cruise line, ***************. We paid extra for the "Premium" service to help us figure out what we needed. We selected the premium service over the phone and were lied to about the pricing. They told us it would be $450 total not per person. They never gave an estimate or preliminary bill so we didn't find out until the end right before they charged the credit card on file. They almost didn't get our passports back from the Chinese Consulate on time because of their incompetence and tried to charge us a rush fee ($150/ person). We almost had to cancel our cruise at the last minute because they didn't keep track of the dates. The most egregious part was that we didn't need a **** for the short time we were traveling to ********. They reviewed our itinerary first thing and told us what we would need. The full balance was paid for visas we didn't need before CIBT returned our passports. Now, 5 months later, they sent me to collections trying to get the payment again! they are a scam that just won't stop. They have revised their website since March. they seem to have all the fees listed and it is easier to understand. Do your own research. Don't trust this company and keep all your receipts!

Horrible experience. I paid 450$ for premium **** service for a trip to *****. The CIBT employee that was assigned to me was incompetent. He provided the wrong **** type (a tourist ****) even though I had been clear from the start of the process that I was visiting family who currently lived in ***** (S2 C ***** I informed him twice of the mistake before he corrected it. Then he changed the duration of my trip from 18 days to 2 days. That resulted in another round of corrections. Then he realized weeks after changing my **** to the correct type (S2) that he needed more documentation from me which he failed to provide the requirements for (this was less than a week before my trip) until I sent multiple emails trying to get a response. I ended up having to change my flights and pay out of pocket for my flight change fees ($300+). Once everything was approved he sent me an invoice charging me for an expedited service fee ($205) which was only necessary as a result of his mistakes. They even charged me for the expedited shipping costs associated with the process - again only necessary because of the situation created by all these mistakes. I do not recommend using this service or company.

Two visas were requested for Brazil. Absolutely horrible company/service. Could be a scam company. Basically took my $650 which is triple most services and got zero for my money. Their MO is to have you re-upload the required info over and over until you give up. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I contacted CIBT as recommended by G adventures to enquire about a visa for Laos. I was told that my passport would have to be mailed to Washington as there was not a Laos embassy in Canada. This involved many extra fees for mailing, 2 consular fees to get the visa, plus CIBT service charge that is twice the consular fees. Since this organization specializes in helping with visas I figured they would have up to date information. NOT TRUE! I could have easily applied for an evisa at 1/4 of the cost. This professional company gave me out of date information and charged me astronomically for my visa to Laos. I would never recommend this company and I will spread the word about my experience.

I paid for premium service, got charged $911.53 for a China Visa and they don't answer their phone with a human being. I get an unending loop asking me to leave a voice mail, then a message that their mail box is full. Repeated message that the mail box is full. It is like reading a Kafka novel doing business with CIBT Visas. I wish Seabourn Cruise Line hadn't suggested these guys.
