I paid for premium service, got charged $911.53 for a China Visa and they don't answer their phone with a human being. I get an unending loop asking me to leave a voice mail, then a message that their mail box is full. Repeated message that the mail box is full. It is like reading a Kafka novel doing business with CIBT Visas. I wish Seabourn Cruise Line hadn't suggested these guys.

They scammed me out of money. Do not use them. They charge upfront before you can fill out a visa application and then unilaterally canceled my application in the middle of filling it out. Then charged me 199 as a cancellation fee and require a new payment to try to fill out a new application. I emailed and called multiple times to get my money back but they refuse to pick up or answer.

Customer service is unacceptable. They do not answer emails and have been on hold for over an hour with no answer.

Their website is useless and their customer service agents are clueless.

Would love to know how this company has an A+ BBB rating?? Worst company I've ever dealt with. Steer clear.

Very deceptive and unethical company. They do not disclose pricing upfront and will surprise you after you’ve sent your passport for processing with a charge that is probably more than double what you expect.

It takes forever for anything to get done with CIBT Visas. Save your time and energy and do it yourself or find a different company.

      DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

I submitted my order for document authentication on May 31st and requested my documents back on June 14th. Before ordering, I had emailed some questions that I was hoping they'd answer, but I didn't hear from them until after I placed my order (They never answer email. You have to call.). I sent my documents and they were received on June 5th. I was never told that it would be difficult or impossible to get my documents returned to me on the 14th. Instead, THEY CHANGED THE DATE MY DOCUMENTS WERE REQUESTED TO THE 30TH INSTEAD! They never even mentioned they were doing this and I can only assume it was done for their own metrics, so they could say they were returned on time. If I was told they couldn't get them back by the 14th, I would have done it myself. However, their terms and conditions says you'll basically be charged even if you cancel. In addition, be sure to check your invoice, as I was originally charged the business price instead of for an individual and had to inquire about it before it was changed.

After receiving my documents on the 5th, they messaged again on the 9th to say the embassy had updated requirements and they needed more from me (things like middle initial on one document and middle name on another). This happened a couple more times until the 15th, already after when I requested my documents to be returned. A company specializing in these things should catch all of this so there is no delay. In each case, I sent what they asked for as soon as I could, oftentimes within 20 minutes of their email request.

Ultimately, my documents weren't even submitted to the consulate until the 16th (according to their order tracker), and were not returned to me until the 22nd.

All of the extra documents that they requested from me were things that I could've done myself had I just gone to the consulate. It would've been faster, cheaper, and far less stressful than going through CIBT.

I used to use CIBT for all work trips about 10 years ago. We used them for years. They were great. Now they charge an extra $450 for specialized service on top of other fees. I paid it. Sent all the info to them. They took almost a week to review it before even giving me info on how to send my info in. I emailed and called my rep multiple times without a response. They apologized profusely. Asked me to give them another chance. But I need a company that is responsive and efficient or else trips fall apart. I wasted a week working with them. Got my money back. Was so grateful I hadn't sent them my passport yet. Went with another company that responded to calls and emails even before I paid them a dime. I had all the information uploaded and in the mail to them within hours of beginning the process. Not sure if CIBT is understaffed or mismanaged, but I won't be working with them again. And I routed the others on my trip to the other company.

I began a Guided Entry expedited passport renewal with this company the third week in March. We had expensive scheduled trip to Anguilla, BWI beginning April 25 so I paid to have completed passport by April 12th. I did every ask of me, getting paperwork, photos, etc. to CIBT in perfect time. The first delay was the passport "couldn't read the barcode on our app", the app they'd sent me, I printed and overnighted back. Then this and then that, ending with the fact that when I had to redo paperwork, they failed to make a new passport appt. Top management did apologize profusely and credited some of my $1500 or so costs but I lost $1000s on this trip and am sitting in the rainy southern US instead of on a beautiful beach on turquoise water! I have yet to figure this bunch out. My representative called from Houston each time, passport center they uses was in San Fran and headquarters seem to me in VA. I guess I'm just not smart enough to put it all together.... or maybe I am. Beware & check them out, read reviews before proceeding with their services! I've used other courier services that actually got the job done ahead of schedule!
