If I could give them 0 stars, I would! This bank is just awful! I have had them as my bank for many years and have been consistently disappointed and frustrated with them. The lack of customer service outside of "normal business hours" is appalling. Recently I had an issue with a a POS charge being declined at the register (I tried 3 times). Of course, all banking systems were under "routine maintenance" when I tried to go in to see what was happening. Because of this, I was charged 3 times, overdrafted my account, AND the bank charged me an overdraft fee. And because they give NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OUTSIDE OF NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS, I was left with no money and had to wait until Monday morning at 9 a.m. when they opened to get things corrected. This is BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. Issues and problems happen every day and the fact that this company doesn't provide customer service outside of "normal business hours" is the reason I will be changing banks. There is no reason for a bank to not offer emergency customer service for its customers, especially in situations like this. They need to get with the times! Saturday and Sunday are now BUSINESS DAYS for many people and people WORK AND SHOP on those days. You should at least have a call center that assists members when they have issues outside of your "normal business hours." I also do not want to have to wait for 30 minutes to speak to someone when I do call. Again, poor customer service. Also, why are your hours 9-5? With the exception of Friday and Saturday, you are literally open during the hours that I work which makes it very difficult for me to go into the bank to fix issues face-to-face. Other banks offer earlier or later hours or 24/7 customer service lines to assist customers. What is Del-One doing to put its customers first? In my opinion, nothing. Del-One houses the assets of over 80,000 customers to the tune of $650+ million and has a net worth of $9.25+ million, but customer service is non-existent. Stay away.Del-One Federal Credit Union

MORTGAGE: Terrible service!! I got a letter my mortgage was transferred to another company and the new servicer will take over starting Aug 15th. My mortgage is due Aug 1st. Midwest loan that formally took my payment unplugged all the log in info from my account and cannot take my payment. Del one states they cannot take my payment. They told me to call and pay the new company if I dont want to pay my mortgage late, even though the other company has not sent a bill yet and does not get my loan until the 15th. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. Its Del one mortgage and I cannot pay it even if I go to their bank. They conveniently dump all their problems on customers. STAY AWAY, IMO!Del-One Federal Credit Union

1 starHorrible. They give you the wrong information when you call and then act like it’s your fault when you have to call back in to get a correction on a mistake that they made. Customer Service and dispute team is terrible. They won’t credit back ANYTHING!!! Even if you show proof from the merchant admitting that they made a mistake. It’s easier for them to refund the money directly but they’d rather have you wait months to dispute with merchant. I’d never recommend this bank to anyoneReview fromBrooke D

This bank is awful. Not user friendly at all if you ever need assistance or have a question. Today, without ANY warning or explanation whatsoever, they locked me out of my account. There is plenty of money in there. Now I’m unable to access my funds at all and they didn’t bother to send an email or call me? Was my account compromised? What happened? Now I’m left to worry about it until I can call during their customer service hours. I am very concerned about this! There’s clearly something wrong and yet there’s been zero effort to reach out to me. Mind you my car is financed through them as well. Some way to treat a loyal member!Del-One Federal Credit Union

I’m so over Del-One with their incompetent loan processing officers that can deny your application with one click of a button with a bogus explanation however when you call to speak to the loan processor you’re told Del-One’s policy is you CAN NOT speak directly to the processor! In all my dealings with banks on transactions much larger than what I was trying to do with Del-One I have NEVER been told this! With that being said I’ve been with Del-One for 35 plus years, accounts in good standing and always paid on time with past loans which apparently means nothing!!!! I’ve had some minor issues with Del-One this past year but this done it for me! I came to the conclusion It’s time for me to part ways with them but not before I file a complaint with the CEO! I give Del-One ZERO Stars and from reading on this site I see I’m not alone! Del-One must be desperate hiring people with no experience and not trainable.Del-One Federal Credit Union

1 starIf I could give no stars, I would. I’ve been a member with Del One for well over 10 years. Every time I’ve gone for auto loan I’ve been denied only to be approved by other financial institutions, such as chase bank. This has happen 3 times.. now I have gotten small loans from Del One in the past and kept them in excellent condition you would think being a credit union they would not only base credit worthiness on credit score, but also off of your past relationship with them. I can tell you this counts for nothing. I can also tell you that they are very predatorial with fee and requirements. not to totally dog Del One out at no benefit to myself to say this. If you are in a pinch and in need of a checking or savings account they will give you that.Review fromTami W

Been a Del One customer for years. Not the best customer by far, However I have money deposited into this account every week.. Today I go to withdraw a significant amount and the live teller Shanon proceeds to tell me she will not give me my withdraw until I deposit $5 into a savings account I have never used. Who is del One to tell me they are not giving me my money? I go to this bank weekly and make withdraws as well as use my debit card on a regular. Hi Tami. Your primary savings account signifies your membership in the credit union. When your account was opened, $5 was placed in there. This $5 must remain in there at all times, even if you don't use the savings account. I apologize if this was not explained correctly. Just the $5 needs to remain in that account. Del One is the worst bank ever..we had a appointment, although we was there early we sat over the appointment time..once another lady walked in the rep (Christina ass manager) took her back instead of going off the appointment time, this is also the Milford De branch, Christina is the reason I closed my husband account and moved his IRA account somewhere else. Christina is so unprofessional and has a nasty demeanor..del One needs Chick-fil-A customer service training..Del-One Federal Credit Union

Have been with this bank since I started working at 15, and at 23 years old now I can confirm they are the worst. Customer Service reps are the rudest and are quick to end your call when they have wait times over 30 minutes consistently even at the open of the bank which never makes sense. I had a call ended with the Representative saying “customer not connected” before I could even say hello after waiting close to an hour on the hold. This happens more times than not. The bank also has terrible online account access, with the website and or app consistently saying its under maintenance or the member information could not be verified please call. When this is a fcu that doesn’t assist on weekends it really shows it true colors of unreliable service. I wouldn’t recommend this bank to anyone, never have and never will.Del-One Federal Credit Union

I attempted to get bank statement from my local del one but was provided “transaction history” instead. When I arrived at a Buisness in Maryland to provide the document, I was told I was given the incorrect information. A nice young lady at the Buisness said she would call Del-one and be my advocate and get the correct documents sent over by fax. The young lady spoke with two reps one “Jeanette” the other “Tara ext 1024”. “Jeanette” attempted to charge me for the new documents even though I had already paid for the incorrect ones. The young lady worked to get the fee waived and the documents faxed over. Jeanette had advised they will have the documents to me by end of business day which was “6pm” for Del one and the business I was looking to provide the documents too closed at 5. The young lady insisted the documents be expedited since it was a mistake by the branch but Jeanette could not assure us and declined transferring to a manager. The young lady then later called back and was connected to “Tara ext 1024” who was continually rude to her. Spoke over her, forced her on hold when she was asking her questions and yelled constantly the whole call. It got to a point that I could not believe she was actually speaking to a line of Buisness. Tara verified my info and I put the young lady back on. The young lady explained that I was looking to setup my online acct and wanted to verify the info del-one had on their end since it was not allowing us to make the acct. Tara read the notes and instantly became nasty, she refused to allow me to add my new email address and said I’d have to visit a branch in order to do so. By the end of it all Tara had refused to get us to a manager, refused to provide a complaint dept info, refused to provide Human Resources or compliance info. Only provided us the general line number and continued to show no professional etiquette. They also never got my statements faxed over to the Buisness.
