    Our trash company charges fuel charge of 6.00 every 3 months, and their trucks weigh tons and stop at every mailbox. Even if Horizons tiny trucks get 10mpg loaded they cannot justify 20.00 to come out here especially if the mechanic comes from Chadds Ford Pa. Charlie Haines should be ashamed of himself.

    Total Ripoff & people should be told about this additional surcharge for vehicle gas charge. This is NOT listed anywhere in their Ads. I called today (9/21/22) & reminded them that I purchased a complete unit 2 yrs ago (heat & A/C) & I live approximately 4 miles from their station. They have pulled this stunt before & people should read these reviews before using them. I was also told on this call that if I use service company - my warranty would be dropped.

    On 9/10/2022 I called Horizon Services for a winter tune-up that is advertised in our September Clipper Magazine. The price was a sale of $79 for winter and $59 for the next visit in the Summer.
    I then called Horizon to schedule a service date and time. When you do this they then tell you the new price is $104. When you question the bate and switch based on their advertisement they tell you it is adding a fuel surcharge of $25!!! After reading the sale circular there is no fine print for any additional cost. I then told the person on the phone that Horizon had always done my service because they installed a complete HVAC system 7 years ago and I have a 12 warrantee.
    Also when they did the summer service call in June at the height of the fuel cost there was no fuel surcharge!! My cost in June was $49 + tax. Be careful this is a big RIPP OFF .

    A tech stated we needed a new capicitor and our condensor coils were dirty. Quoted us 495 plus 120 for the service call and said 25 of that was for gas because gas is so high now. So about 600 bucks. I spoke with the tech over the phone while he was at my home for repair on 7/28/22. He agreed to fix for 250 plus 120 for service fee to change out capacitor and clean condensor coils. When I got home I looked at the contract and the tech failed to add the condensor coil cleaning to the contract. He told my wife that he did not charge us for it so that it was not on the contract. I called horizon and asked them to add to the contract. They agreed and emailed my wife the exact same contract, but failed to state the coils were cleaned. I called back asked to speak with supervisor and was told that it would take 24 hours to get a response. This after the customer service rep told me the supervisor was on the floor. Long story short, they would not change the contract. I'm very displeased with the company's professionalism. If you say your going to fix something for a certain price, why would you withhold it from the contract? Anyway, hoping my HVAC keeps working. I will not be using this company in the future and hope that you do not either.
