I initially felt frustrated when I didn’t see the refund immediately and was quick to assume the worst. I even considered reporting the business, thinking I had been scammed. However, after further communication, I realized the issue wasn’t on their end at all. The support team at NextBatteries was professional and transparent throughout. They promptly canceled my order as requested and refunded the full amount on the same day (May 18, 2025). They even shared the ARN tracking number and provided clear documentation from their bank and payment processor to help me trace the refund with mine. It turns out the delay was with my card issuer, not the merchant. I appreciate the patience and honesty they showed, especially when I was being unfair. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to resolve the issue. I take back my earlier assumptions. These folks are honest, professional, and take customer service seriously. Honest Update – My Apologies to NextBatteries I want to take a moment to apologize to the representative from NextBatteries. I was in a rush and needed the battery within 3 days, which unfortunately didn’t match the delivery window. I ended up canceling the order and was impatient about the refund. Even after being provided with an ARN number to track the refund, I remained skeptical — but the refund did come through. Looking back, I was unfairly doubtful, and I appreciate the rep’s patience and professionalism. Please be your own judge. I ordered a battery on April 16th, 2025. I was very patient with the arrival of this battery but we went past the window of them getting it in the mail and the shipping arrival date. I had to reach out to the company to see if they were able to get the order in time and was met with the immediate reply of it'll be there shortly that they had to order more like other complaints have received. When talking to customer service reps (Ari and Mark) I was met with a very unpleasant response and just canceled the order. In my point of view I do not think they ever were going to ship this order. Mark at one point offered to show me the battery and I said I would like that as it would set me a ease. He immediately replied "NO" and cut the chat. I was supposed to receive a call from upper management and did not hear back. This morning of 5/8/25 I called and spoke to Ari who was extremely rude as he already knew the issue and did not help the issue at all. I did receive a call back from a "Sr. Manager" stated in a chat log from Ari but they never left voice message or try to reach out in a email/chat log. I would not recommend ordering from this company as it reeks of being a scam of hoping that people will order through their bank or forget about ever ordering the battery. If you take the risk of ordering here make sure you go through PayPal or another service that you can get your money back quickly.NextBatteries

Subject: Response to Review – Order #NG47575A – Mr. Bryant Davis Business: NextBatteries.com Order Total: $44.00 Order Date: April 16, 2025 To Whom It May Concern: We are submitting this response regarding the review/complaint filed by Mr. Bryant Davis concerning his order (#NG47575A) for one Sharp VL-E34 Replacement Battery. The order, totaling $44.00 ($34.50 for the battery and $9.50 for shipping), was placed on April 16, 2025, and paid via PayPal. Due to recently introduced U.S. tariff regulations in late April, our inbound inventory was delayed at customs, preventing us from fulfilling the order within the standard 2–7 business day handling period. We recognize this delay and took multiple proactive steps to communicate with the customer. On May 4, 2025, we proactively contacted Mr. Davis via email with the subject line: “NextBatteries: Your Order #NG47575A is Scheduled to Ship This Week.” This email provided an update and assurance that the order would ship that week. A screenshot of this email was also shared with the customer as proof of our communication and transparency. Later that same day, Mr. Davis also emailed us separately with the subject: “Order has not shipped.” We promptly replied on May 5, stating: “The order will be forwarded to the shipper within this week. We will share the tracking information over the email listed with the order. There was a delay as we had to bring in fresh stock specifically for this item to ensure you receive the highest quality.” We thanked him for his patience and apologized for the inconvenience. On May 6, Mr. Davis initiated a live chat with our customer service representative Ari. Ari again apologized for the delay and offered a 5% discount as a courtesy. The relevant portion of the chat transcript is as follows: Transcript – Tuesday, May 6, 2025 Ari – 17:25: I checked with our accounts. We can offer you 5% discount on unit price as a compensation for the delay. Ari – 17:26: Please confirm if you want to wait or cancel the order. Bryant Davis – 17:26: I can start a BBB/FTC complaint so we can reach a better agreement with upper management. Following this clear threat, and in accordance with our Respectful Communication Policy, Ari made the decision to cancel the order and issue a full refund through PayPal, which was credited immediately to Mr. Davis. Despite the full refund, Mr. Davis requested to speak with a senior representative and was transferred to Mark, who reiterated the refund status and offered a manager callback. Mr. Davis insisted on a callback at 5 PM PDT, which is outside our standard business hours (Mon–Fri, 9 AM – 5 PM EST). Mr. Davis then demanded a photograph of the battery from our warehouse in Hayward, California. As our main office is located in Milton, Delaware, it was not feasible to fulfill this request, particularly since the order had already been canceled and refunded. Summary of Our Actions: 1. We proactively emailed the customer on May 4 with a shipping update. 2. We responded again on May 5 to his direct inquiry, reiterating the timeline and cause of the delay. 3. A 5% discount was offered as a goodwill gesture. 4. A full PayPal refund was processed on May 6 after the customer issued a threat during live chat. Our team maintained professionalism throughout the exchange and made reasonable attempts to accommodate the customer. All communication records, including the chat transcript and refund proof, are available for review. I ordered the Panasonic DMW-BCK7PP replacement battery from NextBatteries. Although the delivery was delayed by 5 days due to new tariffs, I was kept well informed throughout the process, which I appreciated. The battery finally arrived and works as expected—I'm happy with the purchase. As a side note, I saw a comment claiming the company is based in Singapore. That’s not true in my experience. I spoke to three different customer service reps, and they were all clearly based in the U.S. and very professional.NextBatteries

Don't buy from them. They appear to be in US, but are in Singapore per my charge. They kept promising that the order would be shipped "next week" but no such luck. I cancelled my order and two weeks later the credit has been sent to accounting, but they have not yet issued a credit. Spend the extra to purchase what you need. I escalated to a dispute with my credit card and they will issue a refund. But the company had my money for over 1-1/2 months.NextBatteries

This organization is illegitimate at worst and deceptive at best. I ordered a battery two months ago which has not yet been delivered. I gave them two weeks after ordering before I contacted them for the status of the order. They replied that delivery was stalled by supply issues. However, they did not take initiative to inform me of such. They assured me batteries would be shipped in a few days and presumptuously thanked me for my patience. After two more weeks, I contacted them again with a reply that the shipment was on its way. Two more weeks and they sent me a notice that it was shipping by the end of the week. When I had not received the batteries three week later, I asked for another update. They contacted me saying the shipping label had been created - after telling me previously that it had shipped. Still haven't received the batteries. This treatment is unprofessional and unacceptable. I strongly recommend not dealing with them at all as their communications are lies. I suspect they are leading me on to steal my money in which case I fortunately have recourse. I have not requested a refund, so don't believe them if they say they issued one.NextBatteries
