I keep getting calls people stating they are from this company asking me to verify my identity. I have repeatedly told them to contact me via US mail as I do not provide personal information over the phone. I have checked my credit report and do not find anything that would indicate that I should be contacted by a collection agency.

Without a written communication from this company that indicates that I have debt owed. I request no further contact.

I received an email from this company however they misrepresented themselves. They changed the name of the company to appear that it came from a different company. I probably got calls and texts from spoofed numbers which were probably them. I want to be removed from their list and not be contacted from them ever again.

I received the attached letter from a SIMMS Associates, alleging that I had not made payments for $4283.84 to Ascent Funding. I have a student loan for my daughter, Katrina Warren ( who has also being sent to collection) which have been paid every single month, always for an amount higher than the minimum required. Furthermore I did not received any letter advising of any lack of payment, the first notice I had was the attached letter. They said that if I thought there was a mistake I could contact them. I did, in writing on July 17 2024 but never got an answer. I have called SIMMS Associates 4 times since then, but only got a recording saying that I can leave a message. The messages has never being answered. I have extensively talked to Ascent and they say they have no record of any lack of payment and essentially they don’t know anything about this collection. However it is on my credit record as well as on the one for my daughter, Katrina Warren which is tremendously harmful. I request an immediate correction. Thank you

    ******* ********’ complaint states she received a
letter from our company for a past due student loan in the amount of $4,283.84.
Ms. ******** feels this account is not past due and claims payments have been
made on time. She also states that she has called our office four times and
only ever gets a recording. She would like her credit report corrected.
This account was placed in our office on July 2, 2024
by the debt owner Ascent Education Funding Trust 2024-A. Ms. ******** is the
co-signer on this account for her daughter Katrina Warren. We have had two
conversations with Ms. Warren. The first was on July 16th with Ms.
Warren in which she said she would have to speak with her mother about setting
up payments. We never heard back and continued our efforts to reestablish
contact. On August 19th Ms. Warren called our office and stated
there was confusion on why there was a past due balance as payments should have
    been made.
Based on the content of Ms. ********’ complaint, it
would appear that she needs to contact Ascent Education Funding Trust 2024-A

On August 12, I received a phone call from a woman asking for NPPI in regards to a "personal business matter". She did not disclose what company she was with, or what company she was calling on behalf of. I asked 2 or 3 times what company she was calling from, and was advised that it was "financial services", and only received the name Simm Associates after asking numerous times. I advised I have no accounts with them, and asked who she was calling on behalf of when she stated they were collecting for another company and she would not disclose who they were collecting on behalf of; when I advised I had received no communication that I had an account with them and was not going to provide NPPI for verification, I was told "I have it all right here" and was advised she already has my date of birth and social security number. The woman I spoke with was rude and hostile towards me about my unwillingness to provide my NPPI, given the lack of transparency regarding who they were or why they were calling. Given my accounts are only just now moving into 90 days past due and have been in contact with all of my creditors about my temporary unemployment, I requested that they send me something in writing confirming who they were collecting on behalf of before asking me for NPPI. I am requesting that this business turn the account back over to my creditor for collection, and will be contacting the CFPB to file a formal complaint if contact continues without providing written verification via mail confirming who they are collecting on behalf of as this is in violation of the FDCPA. I will also be looking into the handling of the initial call, as I believe the failure to disclose the company, even when asked, and overall lack of transparency may also constitute a violation of the FDCPA.

    Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me in regards to the handing off of my account.  But I am still highly concerned by the fact that the representative would not disclose the company she was calling from, became hostile with me for refusing to provide NPPI to an individual from an unnamed company, and became hostile over my request that they provide documentation.  It's also concerning that a collection agency believes the Truth in Lending Act is the "Truth and Lending Act", based on their response.  I may still be following up with the CFPB regarding the initial contact, especially since the company seems to be disregarding that portion of the complaint.

I received a phone call on 6/12/24 asking for my ex-husband. I asked for documentation as to who they were and for the debt claimed. Spoke to ******-she was rude, yelling, threatening and argumentative about what I was stating was "a lie" and she wasn't required to provide documentation of anything.

I received another call on 6/19/24 after a vague e-mail stating who the business was on 6/12/24. I again asked for documentation of the debt claimed. She stated they didn't receive that and I was to reach out to the debtor myself. (In Virginia, this is false). She then began to raise her voice, threaten, attempt to intimidate me and tried to basically coerce me into unknowingly acknowledging the debt claimed.

I am receiving NUMEROUS daily text messages from SIMM Associates - Debt Collector on my cell phone. Messages say:

SIMM Assoc-Debt Collector: Log in at sclk.me/SIMMpay or call 855-427-8739 to review reduced pmt offer. Re: SIMM #20612648. Reply STOP to opt out.

I do not have any debts in collections, I have verified this in my credit reports. I have not received any letters of debt or collections in the U.S. mail attempting to collect a debt. I have replied to these texts STOP to opt out and the text messages continue to be sent to me. This is harassment. If there is a legitimate reason for contacting me, please mail a letter to my residence but I have verified via all 3 credit bureaus that there are zero collections associated to my credit. Please see attached text from this morning.

**In order for the bureau to continue to assist you, you MUST provide your view on the matter or your complaint will be closed as answered.

I reject the response from this business.  I have never opened a Klarna account and do not have any purchase history on etsy that matches what this business claims.  What is the etsy account name this purchase is under? I searched all the way back to 2020 and do not see anything matching the description this company is describing.

I have been waiting for months for the last payment I made to SIMM Associates to be reflected in my Klarna account. I keep calling SIMM Associates and they literally are no help. They say they're backlogged. They say call Klarna. Klarna, whom I trust far more, says there's nothing they can do even though I keep providing them the reference number SIMM Associates gave me to give to them. Klarna says they've received no word of my last payment. It has been nearly 3 months. Please figure this out so the debt is squared away.

I’ve been trying to call them to get a payment plan for $995 from applied bank but no one ever answers the phone. I want something stating that I owe the $995. I’m willing to pay but they don’t answer the phone and I don’t receive any calls from them.

SIMM Associates, Inc. is a third-party collection
agency.  SIMM does not purchase or own
debt; it collects on accounts referred to it by debt owners.  It was founded and incorporated in 1991 in
    Newark, Delaware.  From its inception,
SIMM has been dedicated to providing highly effective collection services to
its clients, assuring always that the consumer is dealt with in a professional
    and appropriate manner.
******** ****’s complaint states she has been trying
to contact us to set up a payment plan for her delinquent credit card bill
totaling $995. She claims no one answers the phone. Ms. **** would like SIMM
Associates to contact her so this can be resolved.
We received Ms. ****’s account from our client,
Applied Bank, on August 3, 2023. Since August we have attempted to reach her
dozens of times via a letter through the USPO, emails, SMS/texts and calls. On
August 22nd, Ms. **** set up recurring monthly payments from August
through December for $165.92. The first payment declined. We spoke to her on
September 8th at which time $45 monthly payments were set up
beginning on September 28th. That payment also declined. On October
2nd we again set up monthly reoccurring payments for $100 beginning
on October 27th. That payment declined as well. We spoke to her on
October 30th and once again set up payments of $100 per month to
begin on November 27th. This payment was set up as an ACH and was
returned on November 30th. We spoke to Ms. **** on December 5th and she agreed to 4 payments $248.89 to begin on December 24th. Once
again, this payment declined. On January 5th we spoke to Ms. ****
again setting up payment arrangements with the first payment totaling $200 for
January 19th. This returned NSF as well. We attempted to reach her
two more times after this last payment attempt via SMS/text and received no
    response.
As you can see, SIMM Associates has made every attempt
to help Ms. **** resolve this debt. The issue is Ms. ****’s history of bad
payments and not our communication efforts.
    Should she have any questions she may contact ****** ******** **  *************************** ** **** ** *************** ********* *****
    Thank you.
