I am very displeased with not being be to extend my rate reduction program. My full payment is over $1,100/ month and I can’t live and pay my student loan. I was disconnected with a manager by the name of Christy Shuppler. Even if I can pay what I ca afford, my loan will go into default. I don’t understand why a student loan company wouldn’t won’t to help their lenders be able to afford their payments.

This review is based on Navient. I have a student loan from Navient. I truly believe that they are ripping me off. I was making payments of $134.00 on this loan. This was supposed to be the lowest payment. Now the payment is $248. I work part time. The balance is now $20,396.53. I have been paying on this loan since 09/2006. This is just crazy. The never seems to go down. I wish that you all would investigate this company they are ripping so many people off. I can't afford to pay this. They put you on a lower payment plan then several months down the line it goes back up.

Navient is greedy and out to collect on those who decide to go to college. Trades are great but not for everyone. We still need people to do jobs that require college degrees. Yes, it was my choice to go to college but the way Navient has destroyed my financial stability ever since is criminal. I originally borrowed $50,000 in 2008. I have paid back over $50,000 and STILL OWE $62,000! Assuming my payment never goes up (but we all know it will because it does every couple of months), by my payoff date in 2045 I will have paid over $250,000 back to Navient. Going to college shouldn’t be a life sentence. I pay over $700 and the programs they have in place to help you afford your payment are limited to a total of 3 years and your loan continues to increase because paying the affordable amount means you aren’t even paying the interest. So you pay $300 a month and your balance goes up! A 14% interest rate should be illegal.

They call my work 3-4 times a day! I keep hanging up but they don't get the message. The don't listen to our message that states we're closed either, calling multiple time a day when we're closed!

This is the most greedy, unyielding, unhelpful private loan company with which I have come into contact. They are heartless and thankless and quite frankly, very rude. The disposition of the customer service personnel is a joke in terms of a customer service training model. Most importantly, management doesn't care. Do not take out a personal loan with this company- they are a feckless group of heartless people who do not care about a customer service experience.

I was hired and on the first day of training they were unable to get me signed into their system. I was advised to leave the online meeting in MS Teams by the trainer and her assistant Jason, I believe. Jason was the tech assistant that helped with issues related to login and systems access. I was told that IT would be contacting me, for which they didn't. I tried contacting the phone number given got IT multiple times, and all times was hung up upon after about 30 minutes of waiting. I was told that I would be re-scheduled for the next training in a week, for which I was not. Therefore I lost my job on the first day due to the employer failing in there attempt to train their employees and lack of any real assistance in training.

Navient should be out of business. No student loan servicer should have rigid rules such that they reject your loan forgiveness application because you included a 2 digit year which is standard instead of a 4-digit year. At the very least, the application should give examples and clear directions of all that is needed for each step of the application, not after rejecting you. Furthermore, they should send you notification as soon as you qualify for loan forgiveness by email and mail. The Navient leaders don't want the loans to be forgiven so they put up unnecessary barriers so they can get more money from hard-working underpaid teachers and public service workers. Beware!

My annual IDR was placed 4 months ago, they repeatedly asked for more information, not they are saying my W-2 is too old. They actively delayed renewing my IDR until it lapsed. These people are awful, this type of business and business practice should be illegal.
