      I recently required car insurance and requested that it be organized through AAA. My insurance agent ****** **** claimed to be giving me the best rate possible with Progressive, but when I made a quote online via the Progressive website for the same exact coverage later that day, the price was $150 lower. Furthermore, I have since determined that my employer provides the same coverage with Progressive for more than $300 less than what I was quoted. I have contacted the agent to change my coverage, and she told me I could change my plan to the coverage I found on the Progressive website, which was untrue. When I pointed this out, the agent stopped responding to my requests. I will absolutely not be using AAA for my insurance needs in the future and will be advising everyone in the area I know to stay away as well.

      The agent provided the best rate available and advised on coverage. The customer choose to obtain additional quotes from Progressive. If he had an affinity discount for Progressive through his employer our Agency cannot provide the discount, and he would have to go to Progressive directly as he was advised by our Agent.

      Ran over a metal object on the interstate today and it flattened my tire immediately. I called AAA and the wait time for a tow was 4 hours. I called around to local tow companies and found one that was there in 30 minutes. I was on the shoulder of a busy interstate and was not risking my life to get out and put the spare on. AAA likes to take your money, but DOES NOTHING when you need their services. DO NOT Pay AAA any of your hard earned money.

      AAA used to be a reliable company however DO NOT trust them with your families welfare. Waited 3 hours as the estimated time. Called to get a status update and the dispatcher said the tow company would call when in route I asked how long could that take and the response was "I dunno, maybe two hours?" Sorry, five hours for a tow? It wasn't like I was in the middle of the woods. I was in town. No text updates, no call. I called another tow company and they arrived in 25 minutes. All that money I spent on my "Gold" membership down the drain. AAA, people rely on you. It's unethical to take people's money and not deliver the services paid for.

      I canceled my membership on June 27, so I did not want to have the payment of $67.30 taken from my account in July 2nd. I am now up to 9 phone calls now trying to get my refund! They were never supposed to take the money from my account and now it’s impossible to get a hold of anyone that can resolve this issue!!! When I customer gets lied to and told someone will call back, disconnected. Now I’m told to WRITE a letter to corporate in Wilmington, DE!!!!! Not email, but write a letter!!!!!!
