Misleading website. Horrible customer service.Leads customers to believe that they are booking directly through the actual website of the hotel. Unrealistic terms. I booked a room for two nights and within an hour I called to change the reservation to one night and they would not change it. would never book through this website again.

As with many of the other reviews I'm reading, Guest Reservations has fraudulent practices. I booked a Hotel stay that was stated as being refundable but then when I wanted to make a change (not cancel but change checkout day), the agent stated that changes could not be made and told me to read the cancelation policy on my receipt, which of course was received AFTER that took my money. I did that and sure enough, it's states that this booking is non-refundable and changes cannot be made. I called them multiple times and sent letters to Customer Care but they absolutely did not care. I even called the hotel property but since it was booked by 3rd party there was nothing they could do, and were also surprised by the fact that changes could not be made even though it was 6 months in advance.

In the end, it's my mistake for not paying more attention as I thought I was booking with the actual property. Should have just called. It was not any cheaper. Beware of any reservation site that uses Guest Reservations.

Same experience as everyone else thinking I was dealing directly with the hotel. It did not state that room was nonrefundable until after they had my credit card information and the booking was made. They will not reinstate my reservation and claim that it is the hotel’s policy not theirs. The hotel manager has even called them on my behalf asking them to reinstate the reservation, to which they refused. They have my $1733.99. My credit card company will not help because it states on my confirmation email that the room is non refundable. I have been checking the Guest Reservations website daily for the last 3 weeks and all of their rooms at this same hotel state that they are fully refundable until the day before arrival.

Terrible website. DO NOT USE!! I booked hotels and paid six months in advance. I called the hotel directly and they have no record of my reservation. I called guest reservations.com and was told -1. You'll get a confirmation in 24 hours - I told them I need it now as I paid six months ago. The hotel is already sold out. 2. No confirmation provided - no reservation from hotel - guest reservation.com offered a discount - I didn't want a discount- I wanted my confirmation number. Ended up cancelling to avoid problems. Now hotel rates are triple since I'm rebooking late. AVOID.

The 3rd party service, GuestReservations.com I am told by an IHG hotel is owned by priceline.com. This said, Priceline.com customer service has no record of reservations made on this site. The site's predatory practices should have you blocking guest reservations.com along with priceline.com sites because as the following example will show, they are clearly a sleazy and predatory organization. Now let me explain why. After using them twice, I made a 3rd reservation in 3 weeks on guestreservations.com that needed adjusting. The hotel told me that they were locked out of the reservation and that any changes had to be done by the third party. I waited for over 1.5 hours on hold with guestreservations.com, listening to the most annoying music loop followed by a repeating message telling me that my call would be answered in the order that it was received. I finally hung up, understanding that they were never going to answer the call. The hotel advised that since they were locked out they had no choice but to recreate the reservation and that I would need to get hold of guestreservations.com at some point soon to cancel the incorrect upcoming reservation flat. They advise that upon receiving my request that the 3rd party should contact the hotel to verify and then should process the cancellation flat. I finally got a hold of the website's customer disservice dept the following day, speaking to somebody clearly located in India. She advised that their policies allowed no option other than to process a cancellation retaining roughly 80% of what was paid. She was immovable on this subject, continuously repeating the position. I then explained what my policy would be... To never use their service again and to educate others in advance to avoid being taken advantage of in a similar fashion. She didn't care. I told her to feel free to diary my information and check back in one month, 6 months and a year to confirm what their lack of customer service has cost them.

They will charge your card even if you cancel out just before processing your credit card.

DO NOT USE THEM!!! I had multiple tabs open. I adjusted the date, however, processed the payment with the previously adjusted date. I was charged twice the amount, I called and was told "too bad". I tried to call the Hotel, Hampton, I was told it's Guest Reservation's problem. The card they processed for payment had the wrong "name" on the card for that specific card. Again, it was processed and no way to fix it. Then I noticed for a two night stay, there was an additional $177.46 of additional fees added. This is absolutely ridiculous. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!

Fraud. The website says cancellations are permitted until 2 days before the arrival date. They charges me within 15 minutes. No one is answering the phone. I have a copy of the website cancellation policy and am working with American Express!

DO NOT USE "GUEST RESERVATIONS" website. I feel totally ripped off by this company. On April 29, I was shopping around on a few different websites for a hotel reservation and inadvertantly booked with this company at 8:24 pm. I quickly noticed my error and within minutes (8:33 PM), called their customer service to cancel the reservation. I explained it was placed in error. I was told there was a $750 cancellation fee. I again explained the error and asked if there was possible to have the fee waived. They said I need to cancel the reservation completely and then request the $750 be refunded. I was told the refund would be refunded pending a review by their "hotel partner". I cancelled the reservation as directed. I was told the review might take a few days. I received a few emails the next week from their customer service (April 30, May 1, May 2) stating they had not received a response from their "hotel partner" and that they would let me know when they did receive a decision. On May 3, I received an email from their customer service stating "Despite our best efforts, we are unable to get the response for the penalty waiver approval from our hotel partner. Hence, unfortunately your reservation remains non-refundable. If in the future if we receive any response from out hotel partner in regard to the same then we will get in touch with you." I have not received any further correspondence from them.
The email further states they are "obligated to abide by the hotel-imposed penalties and do not have authority to override them."

After I receiving this information, I contacted the hotel, Sioux Falls Wyndham, and was told their cancellation policy was, "Cancellation Policy
Cancel 24 Hours prior to 4pm day of arrival to avoid 1 Night charge plus tax." There is no such $750 cancellation fee.
