      This is a "discount" service provider who does minimum work and then tries to upsell additional services that may or may not be needed. On June 1, 2023 I scheduled annual service on 3 A/C home units through **** *****. The tech called ahead, arrived on time, and was polite.
      The third unit was very old and the tenant said their electric bill was over $700 a month. The technician took off the top cover and did a minor water spray of the coil. He checked the freon level and said it was low but that it used older style freon and they can't get it. He said I needed to buy a new full system and scheduled a call from a company salesman to come out and give me a quote.
      I had previously scheduled another company to do this service who charges $159 for two units. With a "coupon" from **** *****, Cool Today does them for $49 each. Since I was unhappy with the Cool Today service, I had the already scheduled call with a local A/C company two weeks later. They found the coil was totally clogged. (I will try to attach photos) They did a thorough cleaning and charged the system with a newer, but compatible freon. It now works great again. No need to buy a new unit!
      On another unit, the Cool Today tech said a capacitor cap was "about to stop working" and quoted $349 to replace it. I took a photo of the capacitor and looked it up on Amazon. It was under $30. He vacuumed leaves out of the floor of the unit but said the coil was clean. He also quoted $1,575 to clean our ductwork in the home. My second A/C company again found a very dirty coil and the capacitor was fine. He showed me on his meter and it was well within specifications. He also said we did not need duct cleaning.
      The Cool Today tech had trouble getting internet access to process my credit card and asked me for the password to my internet! I reluctantly provided it.
      My opinion is Cool Today is a large A/C company that encourages their techs to "find problems" that may or may not be needed. I will buy local.

      I am very disappointed in Cool Today Air conditioning services. I have a maintenance agreement with Cool Today on 5 air units. When called on due to a mechanical problems with one of five units, Cool Today quoted me a $2500.00 charge including a 15% discount and a discount for having a maintenance agreement on 5 of my units. My neighbor who has some A/C knowledge suggested that I get a second opinion. I called Apex Innovation Air who diagnosed the problem and repaired the unit with warranty for $450.00. I am so disappointed with Cool Today and would not recommended them even in an emergency.

      The whole experience is so bad, where do I start? The project to install a new a/c started last Friday 8/26 and it is STILL going on today. No calls from anyone to apologize or at least TRY and make things right. We had to miss an important family trip, missed multiple hours away from my business, almost started a fire in my attic, knocked out my internet and was left with a hot house with multiple pets for days due to a lack of communication between employees. We wanted to fire these guys so bad, but couldn't because my old unit was already torn apart. We felt like we were duped by their salesman. My advice to my fellow vets and others looking for a unit, go with someone else, there are plenty of other AC companies that have their sh*t together.

      I am Making this complaint regarding the Cool Today company. They falsely told me that my A/C compressor was no good and the unit needed to be replaced. Additionally, they overcharged me on the repair work that they did. I had two other independent companies give me a blind second and third opinion and both companies said that my A/C was working fine and did not need replacement. Also, that in their opinion I was overcharged for the work performed. I am a Cool Today "Total Care" subscriber and I certainly expected to be treated with honesty and fairness. What I received was an overpriced service call of nearly a thousand dollars and a high pressure sales pitch by both the service techs and a two hour dog and pony show by their salesman to purchase a new A/C unit. Cool Today is relatively new on Florida's east coast. They have been on the Gulf coast for several years. They are obviously trying to build up their service here. I contacted Cool Today on Monday and spoke with their local representative and voiced my dissatisfaction. She asked me to hold off on contacting the BBB so that she could pass on my complaint to her management and someone would get back to me in 24 hours. I have heard nothing from them to date. Looks like they are just another A/C service company out to take advantage of local homeowners. Please assist me in resolving this issue. Sincerely, TV
