This company was hired to treat my lawn for weeds and for fertilization. They neglected to treat my lawn and it became overgrown with weeds everywhere.I attempted to call them but they had nobody to answer their phones. I left them a message that they were FIRED immediately and that no further bills would be paid due to the neglicgence.They ended up send me another bill for fictitious/fraudulent treatment that they NEVER actually performed. When I received the bill I called them and the lady said the bill would be cancelled. Well month later they have now sent me to collections and have sent multiple bills.I am considering a filing a lawsuit.Business Response

1. They were habitually coming to my property more than I requested, resulting in higher annual costs.2. Starting in 2023 the lawn treatments were not being done correctly leaving patches of really green patches and weeds were not being treated.3. I cancelled their service late this summer by phone call and letter stapled to my final payment.4. Now I'm being billed for a phantom visit on 08/14/24 that never happened.5. Mr. ******** signed up for 6 lawn treatments per year, he only received 5 for 2024 before he closed the account, the tech left notes that the areas he was concerned about were Bermuda grass that is uncontrollable, we received his payment to cancel 8/26/24 check 1878 the service was done 8/14/24.Initial Complaint

Was 10-year happy lawn/shrub customer who terminated service due to two billed service applications ($172.00 each/total $344.00) that were not authorized by me and were not actually performed by Evergreen. My attempts to redress the issues failed because all telephone contact with the company now is routed thru an English-as-2d-language callcenter, and my complaints went to die without promised management return phone calls to redress the issues and retain me as a customer. Those disputed charges remain on my account and were invoice by mail a week ago. I want the charges removed, since the services were NOT authorized and NOT rendered.Dec 2023 Evergreen attempted 8th application against 7/year standard. I declined and called office to flag account to require oral-OK for each application, preventing recurrence.Dispute arose July 10, 2024. Invoice on door ($172.00) for application I did not authorize and was NOT performed. If had been asked, would not have authorized since previous application was just 3 weeks before. Home all day; would have heard/seen the truck and the tech at work. Both front and rear yards visible from my seat in the living room. Invoice entry for the techs name was blank and tech notes section also blank. Lawn showed NO wheel marks/dye/hose drag marks. Immediately called local number but routed to call-center. Told *** the application was not authorized; not actually made and I would not pay invoice; demanded a local manager call me to redress situation BEFORE any further service. *** promised management call. None received.Exact ***lay again on Aug 16. Invoice on door ($172/$344). Home all day. No truck in front/Tech/application/marks in yard. Neighbor's security camera showed Evergreen truck departed neighborhood 15 min after entering for what should have been 60min application. Again shunted to callcenter who took complaint. In March 2024, I called Evergreen and "***" came to the property. (His phone ************). My complaint was the lawn technician that comes to our property February 12th and March 20th did NOT service the property. He sits in truck 20 minutes and then was out of his truck for a couple minutes and puts sign in yard. On March 20th, he actually told my father he did not have time to service the property and would be back. He did not return. We were billed for this treatment. The lawn had deteriorated under their care. I have photos. The St. Augustine grass roots were showing, and lawn totally declined. *** met me March 28th. He admitted the lawn looked very poor and told me to purchase topsoil and cover the roots. ( I did) I didn't expect to have to do this because we pay them to prevent fungus and disease. He sent a new technician, ****** to do a "service inspection" and treatment. He actually did treat the lawn. Then *** said only ***** would be servicing our lawn in the future. The end of April someone else came to the lawn and was there for a very brief time. I have called the company many times and emailed **** *****, who is a manager. I want my bill adjusted and take off the charges for the treatments we did not receive. We are willing to pay for one treatment. I am not asking to be reimbursed for the money I had to spend buying top soil to dress the lawn in the dead spots as *** recommended. Even after cancelling the service, we still had someone show up and my father did not let him onto the property. I just called again today, as I have called several times trying to get this situation rectified. I have asked for managers to call me and have not received a call back. I also spoke with billing. The current bill is $348 . I just called again and they are willing to take one treatment of $116 off the bill. I am willing to pay for only one treatment that ***** did because he actually was there and applied products to the lawn.Business Response

We had service with Evergreen for many years, and in 2019 we recommended them for a job well done by Onix. Their work is supposed to be guaranteed. We have battled them since 2023 and they come out but nothing is done to correct the problem. Our lawn is dying. They send a different person here each 6 weeks, or no one shows up at all, and the last person who was here was only here 15 minutes and we think he only sprayed water on our lawn. We called and attempted to speak to a manager, **** and were told he no longer there They sent another man here because we complained no way he could do our yard in 15 minutes. This new guy was to put down fertilizer, but he did not have the supplies to cover the yard, he agreed the lawn looked terrible. The worse lawn on the street. They were here on July 25. We received notice would be here in August, no one ever came, contacted them, no response, Again ,no response, emailed them and told them no one came out and not to bother coming out. We have hired someone else to assist us, but our lawn needs sod replaced in several areas Our lawn man who mows said that nothing has been put on our lawn and we have cinch bugs. Evergreen is supposed to guarantee their work. We dont know what the problem is, but this company was good at once time, and now there is no management or employees who care about anything. The upper management should be involved at this point. We thought we would add our complaint to the many others listed for this terrible company. Don't waste your money. We would like upper management to re-sod the areas where grass died as was previously guaranteed by ****, the manager, or refund of at least the spring and summer applications because our lawn is so bad. The new people have not been here as of this complaint, but will start shortly, and they too, could not believe we were paying for a lawn service something was definitely wrong.Business Response

We spoke to Mr. ******* and advised when he started service with Evergreen, he had drought areas in his lawn, and we have been documenting that on his paperwork at several services. When the supervisors came out to property, they also asked him to hand water the areas, and he may need to plug the areas with sod. Mr. ******* told the supervisor on the phone the *** will not allow him to water more, that it is what it is. Due to the lawn suffering cultural conditions that are out of our control we will not be paying for the sod.Initial Complaint

1.) I had been trying to contact evergreen Ive the course of months 2.) I requested at least 3 times to receive my contract and was ignored 3.) I paid for services and pest control was not controlled 4.) I requested notification of when they were coming so they could spray inside 5.) Evergreen cancelled my contract then charged me without my knowledge but only after I told the *** I just wanted my contract and she continued several times with dont you have it and I can see you signed it. After I hung up on her she cancelled my contract and charged me without my knowledge. I know how to properly close out services THIS was not my plans whatsoever and decisions using my money should not have been made without me.6.) once they canceled my contract they sent my contract via email 7.) I never got in home services and insects seemed to grow in numbers around the house. No evidence of them spraying around the house despite people being in the home 24/7 8.) There pest control posted my home online and now >somehow< my address was made available online and has resulted in the police having to get called due to a threat 9.) That same pest control guy was verbally abusive and disrespectful towards my mom while I was on the phone. 10.) They lied on the online complaint I made and said I constantly hang up on them when I only talked to customer service then hung up after she refused to provide my contract. Im request all calls be pulled. I was no longer allowed to ***ly to that complaint as so how it closed out.11.) I believe that things should be researched then rectified within a timely manner as I believe this does lead to a legal matter and apparently waiting too long could cause for more difficulties.12.) My sod was completely replaced 4 months ago and I was recommended to Evergreen by the sod company I used and 1 friend. The contract was for I believe 7 or 9 treatments throughout 12 months at $90.00 each time. I contacted Evergreen at ************ on 06/07/2024 and spoke to *******. I requested someone come out because my yard was not looking good. I was told it would be 2-3 business days. No one came out, so I called again 06/14/24 at 12:18 pm and I spoke to Ang. I expressed I was frustrated that no one came out and my yard is getting worse. I asked to speak to a manager and I was told one would call me back within ***** hours. I called again on 06/21/2024 and I spoke with *** and explained the situation once again and that my yard keeps getting worse day by day and that I never heard from a manager and once again no one came out to look at my yard. I was told the same thing, that a tech would come out, I asked for a timeline and was not given one, I was told it was put in as an expedited. I asked to speak to a manager once again and none were available. I said I would hold, all day in fact. I was told again a manager would call me back. These photos were taken on 06/17/2024. I will continue to take photos of my yard as I expect Evergreen to do what they were hired to do and to replace any sod due to their negligence. The customer service is horrendous. On August 28, 2023, I called the customer service number and canceled service due to the tech not servicing my yard yet putting the bill on my door. During that call I was told my credit card that they had on file would not be charged. The rep tried to reschedule service but I told them I was canceling. I hired ****** a week later. My credit card was charged for August and again in October. I made multiple calls to this company with no resolution. They claimed they serviced my yard again in October which if they did was trespassing as I had terminated services. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and Evergreen REFUNDED the amount. On the same invoice that shows the credit card refund, they add the same charge to still recover the amount. I made several calls again and ended up speaking with the sales department who promised a manager would call me back. No manager called. In early April, I received a letter from a collection agency. I responded to the collection agency with several documents. The collection agency returned the file to Evergreen and ceased collection. I continue to receive invoices and now texts that there is a balance due. I called the customer service number again on 6-19 after receiving a text of balance due. The representative ***** stated their was absolutely nothing in the file about collection agency and said accounting would call me. Accounting Department called me today on 6-20 and said they will not remove the charge. The charge needs to be removed and close my account. I have added also the texts from my neighbor who saw ****** servicing my yard in September and the condition of my lawn that I sent the neighbor. It's been almost a year.Business Response

*************** has been contacted on several occasions regarding this issue, the latest contact was today, we did not refund her money she disputed with her credit card company. This account wasn't closed in August we pulled the phone calls after we advised Mrs. that she did not cancel the account then she said the tech didn't treat the property our tech was at her property 10/3/24 at 3:22pm.

After January of 2024 we began to reach out the Evergreen regard the unsatisfactory condition of our lawn. We paid Jan, Feb, and March. We began asking for a Supervisor to come out and talk with us about our lawn beginning in February, and again in March. Both times they sent a service tech and sprayed our lawn never talking to us regarding our request. We finally began seeking service with someone else but in April we asked one more time for a supervisor to visit us and discuss our lawn. By this time we had also hired another lawn care service because they did not respond and we cancelled our service. However they once again sent a service tech and treated our lawn and charged us $270.00. We did not want the service. We wanted to talk with a Supervisor regarding the condition of our lawn. Since receiving the bill in April we have called over 5 times request a response so we can discuss this matter with someone in leadership to resolve the April billed amount. The call center reps claim they have no abilities to transfer my call to anyone in leadership to discuss this matter. I am reaching out to the BBB in hopes of talking with someone in leadership at Evergreen to resolve this dispute. I am concerned that Evergreen will continue to ignore my requests to discuss this matter on turn over my account to collections. Sincerely,***********************Business Response

We have had lawn care service through Evergreen over the past year. In March, my wife and I decided to cancel the service as we were no longer satisfied. We contacted the company and received a call back on March 14 (because you cannot speak to someone directly regarding billing, they have to return your call). I voiced that I wanted to cancel the service, and the woman offered a free fertilize application and would proceed with the cancellation. Today, May 13, Evergreen came back to our residence, rendered service, and left an invoice for $106. I contacted Evergreen and was instructed the call on March 14 was listed as a call for service, and the service was never cancelled. We are now expected to pay $106 for service that we cancelled in March, but their customer service agents neglected to record correctly.Business Response

**************** did call back in March stating that he needed the account on hold till he had the new sod installed, *** the rep for this account went out and let **************** know that the only area that needs sod is the area by the pool that had high traffic from the dog, *** had a service call put in at no charge to try and help the area, no mention of a cancelation, since this BBB complaint *** has tried to reach out to **************** with no return call he will try again today to call. The account has now been cancelled as of 5/13/24.
