I am an 84 year old retired women and I have been scammed by this company. I gave them a check for $235.00 to treat my grass. An extra $75.00 to airate the lawn which was not done instead they put down more chemicals. The grass is being ruined. Each time I call them they say someone will come but no one comes. Neighbors are having the same issue with this company and say the company changed ownership and changed their formulas. I cannot afford to waste this money and have asked for a refund they are not performing the service they promised. They are taking advantage of an elderly woman.Business Response

11/28/2023 Contracted for One Year of Lawn and ********** Paid for Contract in Advance $2,472.30 No complete service has been delievered Sales Manager ******************* refuses to return dozens of calls to cell phone and office Over a dozen promises to get a full crew here to complete the service visit and then they are either a No Show or Cancel but promise to call and reschedule and then no call. Service has destroyed the lawn by allowing weeds, pests, and other issues to take over. Dozens of calls to the office and each time it takes considerable time to get someone to answer and they state they can only take a message and then never a return phone call. At least 1 dozen messages left for GM and not a single return call. After all the calls to the office, no one follow-*** or provides any information. Everyone I have contacted said that they don't have any information as to Managers, Contact Numbers, Corporate Numbers, they say it is frustrating and have experienced these kinds of calls many times in the past. I need a full refund as I have to hire someone that is going to be professional and complete the job. Their refusal to answer, follow-up, or even provide essential customer care is ridiculous. If I can't get my full refund and immediately, I will be forced to file a lawsuit and at that point I will be seeking damages.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I hope you are doing well. I would strongly encourage the BBB to take all available action against Evergreen Lawn in an effort to protect the local consumers and individuals that believe in the BBB. To date, Evergreen has refused to return nearly 2 DOZEN calls from me and most recently it is impossible to even get to a live human at the office, only the call center answers, sometimes, and the call center states that they are inbound only, have no numbers for management, have no ability to transfer, and have no management names and have no escalation path within the call center but they are happy to offer services if the caller would like to purchase. I have contacted past employees, previous executives associated with the parent group, and previous local ownership and all have had nothing positive to say about the current Evergreen environment or the Equity "conglomeration" that owns them and is seeking to maximum profits, only. I believe this is verified in how they handled my contract in that they have yet to complete one full service due to lack of personnel, turn-over, broken equipment, lack of supplies, incorrect instructions, or other unreasonable explanations and excuses. I have sustained serious problems and damage to my yard due to their negligence and the fact that I had paid them for the year and was unable to get any timely responses, effective service, or effort to assist from management.
Additionally, I believe, personally, that they are committing false and misleading advertising and their sales team is making promises, statements, and references that they know are blatantly false and inaccurate. As of this morning, they still have on their website and advertising "Family Owned & Operated - Were a family-run service company that has been providing complete pest management and lawn care solutions to our neighbors since 1991." The local business owner sold years ago to an equity company and I can't find any reference to local ownership or family ownership. When I have reached the office or talked with field personnel, they state that they are owned by some corporation out of the ************ area and that they are not allowed to know any names or numbers and the employees themselves have expressed how frustrating it is to not know the information or how to address concerns. ********* is now run by a General Manager that is not local and is unresponsive to employees or customers.
They promise in the sales pitch and on their website and in their advertising ****************** Responsive customer service" " Green ************* guaranteed satisfaction". Both of these are completely false and misleading. They have a call routing system that is only responsive for two things, Sales and Collecting Monies Owed" The personnel that I was able to communicate with originally told me flat out that management doesn't offer refunds for failed service, only an offer to send a technician back out when they are available. When I pressed the issue that I have been promised multiple times that a technician would be sent but never arrives or arrives with a lack of equipment, materials, or supplies, they simply state that they are sorry and will send another message, again. Even field supervisors that I have talked with on the phone promised to meet me on the property and assured me that they would address every issue, when they showed up, there were more excuses and reasons why the service, which they openly admitted was lacking, would need to wait for another day or another technician or needed other equipment or that the company lacked the supplies. The onsite visits resulted in promises that technicians would be out within a number of days and then nothing.
Please visit their website and you will see many other misleading and false comments based on some of the facts I am presenting above. As of writing this email, Evergreen Management and the ************** that owns them has refused to answer a single Phone Call. I am planning to send them a certified letter demanding a full refund and repayment of supplies I was forced to purchase due to their lack of service and negligence and if I don't hear from them in 14 days I will seek court action. Unfortunately, for me, I neglected to ask neighbors for advice. Once they saw the truck and signs, they quickly told me their negative stories and reasons for firing Evergreen.When I first started calling the office, **** was one of the employees that answered my original calls. She openly expressed her frustration and inability to address even the most basic customer needs. She indicated that she was not allowed access to any information, phone numbers, or contact details for senior management. **** stated that she can only ask the General Manager to call me back. She stated that the General Manager is at a different location and "No, I don't know where he is located or how to get directly in touch with him." ****, sitting in the same office with **** began taking my calls and I earnestly believe she and **** documented my concerns, my repeated request for a full refund due to no service and no follow-up on Guaranteed Satisfaction and the company's failure to respond to numerous requests for follow-up and corrective action. **** repeated the same comments that **** made about having no details, no contacts, no ability to transfer, and further stated that she has repeatedly sent a message asking for a full refund along with repeated messages in the system asking for management to contact me. **** didn't even give the BBB or me the respect of providing an effective response, just a statement that a refund was provided. Evergreen didn't even bother to tell you that it was a partial refund instead of the full $2,472.30 that is due and I will be seeking that amount, if needed, plus expenses and damages, via court action and I am probably best seeking court action so I have a public document that I can start sharing online, with neighbors, State of Florida regulators, State of Florida ******************** State of ******* BBB, and copies to all news agencies in *******, ******* and all of Evergreen's competitors.

Indicated that every time they have been onsite so far, it has always been spot treatments since equipment was missing or broken or supplies were low. He promised that the spot treatment would be done. I asked about the Ant Hills and the Plants that he promised would be addressed on the 29th. Indicated that he doesn't have the right equipment and will need to get someone scheduled out... even though it was already promised that it would be scheduled for the 29th. On 29th, I called him asking for a status update, he said he was 20 minutes out but than showed up over 50 minutes later ... very inconvenient locking up dogs, etc. I told him. I asked when I can expect the other truck today.... he said that he would need to get back to the schedule and get the visit scheduled for Plants and Pests and that he was going to just have them spray all the plants like a normal visit. He said he would call me back in a couple of hours to tell me when they would be visiting. NO CALL ON 29th!
As of April 3, 2024 no follow-up or return calls. Sent lengthy email to original Sales Person this date requesting full refund.
04/03/2024 Morning ******************* guaranteed that the ** ******************* would be calling me "right back, I promise I will have him call you"
04/04/24 1615 no call nor action. Calling Evergreen again.
Called and spoke with ****, she did not have any number for corporate or other individuals for me to call. She promised to submit request for full refund and also would call me back before the end of the day with contact information. **** called me back and apologized but stated she has no numbers to provide me or contact people and she doesn't know why the ** is not calling me. She stated she will submit a refund request but needs the ** to approve. I asked her to please give me an update in the morning.
04/05/********* No Call or information from Evergreen. Calling them. **** answered the phone at 1340 and is looking for ****. 11 minutes and no answer, came back to ****. **** took my name and number and promised to have ***************** me back. I commented on the fact that I waited 11 minutes and **** simply stated "Yeh, I don't know, it is a new system"
Tried calling ******************* again at 1352. Left vm referencing my other attempts to reach him with no response. Left my phone number and asked for a return call. I tried reaching *** on Wednesday 4/03/2024 via a lengthy text message and phone call and *** did not return my call or respond to text message. Text message shows delivered. *** had repeatedly made personal promises during the sales process about how he would always be available and would be happy to visit and assist if I had any questions or concerns about the service provided, he commented how he is constantly in the area and I should count on him if needed. Now, NOTHING.
Called 04/10/********* (12 Minute Call) - ******* answered the phone - stated he was overflow - new sales - stated that he could not really help but was going to send an urgent message to Sales Leadership and would try to get me a call back quickly.
4/11/2024 - No call received from Evergreen on 04/10 or 04/11, called them at 1124. Routed to ************ simply took information again. 1122 - *******
04/12/2024 Called and Spoke with **** 04/12/2024 @ 0905 **** stated that a note is in the system that a check for refund of $1700 is being sent but did not have any dates or other information. I discussed that I have not received any full service yet and that the difference is not acceptable and it is very disappointing on how Evergreen has handled this and that Evergreen Management has refused to return my calls. **** stated she will try again to get someone to call me back. **** apologized repeatedly and stated that she is embarrassed by this kind of behavior and her inability to address anything for any of the customers that are complaining on a daily basis.
*** is obviously getting my messages and calls. He mistakenly called me and for over 5 minutes I could hear him moving around and making various noises. I called out to him several times with no response. I hung up after 5 minutes and called him right back and was sent to VM. I left a vm for him. 04/12/24 @ 1157am and my VM at 1203.
Tried ******************* 3 times this afternoon, second time he pushed me to VM. 04/15/24 @ 1440. Called Office and was left sitting on hold for over 7 minutes without an answer. Hung up and called back, this time selecting make payment. Rang and went to VM.
Called back again at 1456 - selected 3 for scheduling - Nothing

I am rejecting this response because: They are not addressing any of the issues and concerns that I have raised. I specifically state that they never completed a full visit and even if they did complete a full visit, they have a 100% guarantee of both the service and responsiveness, which they have totally failed on both. The extended periods waiting for someone to return calls caused additional problems and issues with the Lawn and Plants. They never completed any portion of the job to even a reasonable level of satisfaction, completeness, or effectiveness. Their response, once again is a simple one liner that doesn't address the extensive list of concerns that I have brought forth, the continued refusal of anyone to contact me, the added work or expense I had to incur waiting for any action and then waiting (WITHOUT ANY COMMUNICATION OF ANY KIND) for a refund check and while waiting the property sustained additional damage and problems. They left the yard and the plants in FAR WORSE shape then they found them. It appears that I need to move forward with brining a claim in ******************, Addressing this via Formal Letter to the ************************** Addressing false information with the State of Florida Corporations, and a long list of other resources. I encourage the BBB to see how this company has a complete and blatant habit of misinformation, lack of communications, lack of customer service, dismissive in their promises, and in every way a bad company for your consumers. You should ban this company for the numerous reasons that I have previously wrote.

Is this a serious response? The Business never answered at all and only gave one liners instead of addressing the aspects of the concerns, complaints, and issues. They made a one line statement without actually answering, contacting me as requested, or following through with any of the guarantees, promises, or statements that they have made. Is the BBB there for the consumer or just for the company? I think my detailed notes, documentation of efforts, information as to what is lacking, etc. is abundant and meaningful. *********** can give you two one liners with no details, no actions, no addressing the complaints and the BBB simply closes the case? I entered into a contract with Evergreen for lawn care for an initial fee of $106 and then six payments per year of $86. I received a bill collector notice for $125 from A.R.M. Solutions representing Evergreen. I contacted Evergreen and they said that I didn't make a payment in December so they added a late fee and then sent it to collections. I asked why they didn't tell me since I spoke with them on the phone multiple times and they said they are too busy for that. I called to cancel my service a month ago and the didn't even tell me then that I had a balance due. When I called today about the collections, they said they tried to charge my card in December (I have a card on file) it didn't go through so they sent me to collections. I have proof from my bank that I made all six payments in 2023 ($106 on 1/26 and $86 each in Mar/Apr/Jun/Jul/Sep/Nov) so I did not owe them anything in December, they would have been overbilling per my contract. I now have to pay a collection agency $125 that I should not even owe. I would like a refund of the $125 I had to pay the collections agency. ***************** signed up for our program that includes 7 treatments per year. At the end of the year, we have to roll our system over due to this roll over some customers get the first service of the year at the very end of December. We use email to send statements and notifications to our customers. Unfortunately, ***************** did not have an email listed on her account, with that being said monthly we mail out past due statements as well.
The account was issued a credit for the $125.00 and ********************* account is closed.

The contract agreement auto renewal part, I think its important that this company made a courtesy call or email asking if you agree to renew, because a lot of people are busy in life, and don't have time to check every contract agreement to see the renewal time, this company NEVER during the service contact me to see if im happy with the service or not, the lady in customer service she doesn't training to talk with a client, and its not for the payment its for the lack of communication.to said that they have a A+ en the BBB I don't agree, for that A+ they need to be loyal, responsable, have honor, and respect the customerBusiness Response

Around January 22, ****, Evergreen serviced our property. The service receipt showed a prior balance of $125.00 and a charge for the current service of $201.00. We are enrolled in autopay so there was no reason for the prior balance. I called Evergreen on January 22, ****, at about 10:47 AM. The representative said she would have someone call me back. Someone did call back at about 4:30 PM on January 22, ****, and explained that the prior balance was a "system error" and there was no prior balance. On January 23, ****, Evergreen charged our credit card $326.00. I found the charge when I received my credit card statement. On February 6, ****, I again called Evergreen and asked for an explanation, again I was told someone would call me back that day or first thing the next day. It is now February 10, ****, and I have received no call. I'm tired of calling them. Their accounting is obviously defective. I was finally contacted by Evergreen; they issued a credit to my credit card for the $125.00. This was after I had called them repeatedly and emailed them as well as filing a complaint with your organization. They may know lawncare, but they have poor accounting and customer service.

I have a contract to provide quarterly lawn care service with Evergreen. I prepaid for the first quarter and received the service I think. I did receive the service call info on my door but was always doubtful about whether I did in fact receive that service because my lawn never responded to treatment. Now I have received a charge to my CC for a quarterly service which I know I never received. I have called both phone numbers available to complain but the serving phone company provides a message that the numbers are no longer in service. On 11/2/2023 at approximately 10:00am the driver for Evergreen Lawn & Pest Control hit my mailbox with his vehicle. A neighbor witnessed this and notified me by text message and then had the driver call me. I verified this incident by checking my security cameras. I called Evergreen Lawn & Pest Control on 11/3/2023 and they said they would have a supervisor call me. I never received a call from the supervisor, so I followed up with them on 11/6/2023 and they stated they would have a supervisor call me. Again, the supervisor did not call. I called again on 11/7/2023 and I did receive a call back from a supervisor, and he said he would replace the post and mailbox. Evergreen Lawn & Pest Control has still not addressed the problem and has not contacted me for the replacement.Business Response

I have asked them to show me what the replacement will be because it needs to be of like kind and quality and approved before installation. Their response is lacking in detail for me to accept at this time. They committed to sending me pictures for approval, and this has not happened. We signed up for pest control services which were initially provided with no issue. Once they came out to treat in the next quarter, they simply drove by, dropped off a bill and then left without providing any services. I have proof from my Ring doorbell camera. They dropped one bill for interior service on 4/28/2022. Nobody was home so they could not have treated. They came back the next week on 5/4/2022, rang the doorbell and when nobody answered he went to his truck, grabbed a bill and then stuck it in the front door. No services were actually provided on either visit and they have not visited since. It has been extremely difficult to get ahold of a manger at any of their locations for resolution. I was able to speak with one once and he canceled my future services and agreed to cancel the charges for the services I was billed for that I did not receive. I received a bill for these services again on 6/15/2022 and since then have been unable to reach a manager. I spoke with a sales agent who agreed to put a note on my account to have a manger reach out to me but it's been several weeks and no one has tried to contact me. They claim I owe them $164 for services never provided. I no longer want their services and would like my bill adjusted to $0.
