l have a account with Global tel link .com but they are global tel l was putting money on the credit card but the website never stated that l never had a account with the the stole money off my credit card next thing l no my credit card is call me tell me some one just took ***** out of my account without my authorization and they try to buy game stopper it was my bank account . *** charges inmates .05 cents a minute while sending messages. It takes over 8 seconds to load the screen after opening then takes more than 8 seconds to buffer for the message to go through after him logging out and logging back in for the message to send. The calls also drop and cut in and out which doesn't refund any money. This issue needs to be resolved and money reimbursed.Business Response

On 10/20/24 I paid $49.99 via my debit card for unlimited inmate calls for 3 months, but the service did not work with the facility my husband was located in. I never was able to use the service. I thought the company was Globaltel link, thats the service they use at my husbands facility. I reached out to Globaltel on 10/31/24 for a refund via email explaining to them the service was not working for me, I would like to cancel service and request a refund. I contacted the company again on 11/8/24 requesting my refund, the company stated they would get back to me after reviewing the account. I contacted the company again on 11/20/24 requesting my refund ****** a company representative informed me I would be charged $19.99 as part of their terms and conditions my refund amount would be $30 and I would receive it within 5-7 business days. On 12/05/24 I contacted the company again inquiring about my refund the company issued me a ticket # ******* and stated I will receive my $30 refund within 5-7 business days. I contacted the company again on 12/22/24 inquiring about my refund, the company informed me I would receive it in 5 - 7 business days. As of today 1/01/25 I have not received my refund. This reference number ******* was next to my name when the company returned my email. I would like my refund, I have been waiting patiently but it does not seem this company is planning on issuing me a refund. This service is very deceiving one I only got to this website from an inmate calling me from a facility and the phone prompting me to take the call I needed to set up a service or a prepaid calling and then kicked me off of the call and provided a website to go to I went to the website wanting to get more information in order to do anything on there you had to First submit your information it wouldn't give you any information on amounts or how much it was or what the service was until you provided all your information we'll upon doing this apparently it charged my card $50 I don't even know what for it's apparently not phone time anyways prepaid phone time it's another service for a direct number or something I don't even I'm not even clear still they say that's in their terms and conditions but I mean you can't literally see anything on their website until you put in your information so it's entrapment for sure I contacted the company thinking it would be no big deal to get a refund since I didn't use any of their services and it was within a minute or two of charging the card after three blatantly rude emails back and forth from the company they just kept referring to their terms and conditions they stated that there's a 1999 non-refundable payment due and they would possibly be able to refund the rest it's now been 4 days since I started this conversation still haven't received a refund and I will still be charged the 1999 for a service I didn't even use I wasn't even aware I was getting charged for it just seems super shady and a bit of a malpracticeBusiness Response

On June 6th 2024 my sister who was incarcerated was asking for us to put money on her jail phone so that she could call other family members so as both me and my husband was searching on ****** for the *** connect network website to add money to well my husband had found GlobalTel so he thought it was the same so he added my debit card but didn't put in an amount and then the next thing we knew my bank card was charged for ***** and then we both found out that company was not the correct one so we had emailed them asking for a refund and of course git no response so then we called them and of course was told that only ***** was going to be refunded and then the customer ********************** was still trying to get us to use their services even after being told that their services would not work for us then it has been a week and called them again and was told that it would take another 7 to 10 business days for the refund of ***** would be back in our bank so I just want to make people aware that this internet site is scamming people and that if you are looking for *** connect network that this is not the right place and they refuse to give you a full refundBusiness Response

The transaction happened on 5/09/2024. It was advertised as a prepaid calling account for incarcerated family members. But it is not. When I called to get a refund they wouldn't allow me a full refund saying there was a $14.99 credit card processing fee. I never used their service and just wanted a refund.
