    I enrolled at UMA in April of 2024, I was looking to further my education. After speaking with consultants at UMA I thought it would be a great opportunity to attend. Shortly after that I noticed inconsistencys in what they initially stated. It was apparent that they were targeting people who had GED and scam students out of their financial aid money. Refusing to release students financial aid- holding on to students money. We can not purchase any books for our courses- we can only read digital books-if you are doing an assignment you have to keep flipping to anther screen to read book chapters. I withdrew last Monday- I was fed up with them. Instructors on not live but on previously recorded video. I was told by 4/5 different employees of UMA that it will take 3 days, 30 days, ********************** from school. Which I found was inaccurate, that it takes 3 days unless you change your mind. Now on the 14 th of April they sent Pell ***** their portion of the money back- but is trying to hold my portion for ***** days. And lets not forget they received their portion. I would like for them to send me my money so I will not have to deal with anymore. This school put their phones on to away they can screen calls and not answer.

    I spent a whole week and a half getting the necessary documents and loans to attend this school on my first day of school this school dismissed me after I took out the student loan and nobody contacted me or emailed me about anything I still dont know why on the first day they dismissed me with no reasoning they should tell people that before the state pays them money they waited good to that student loan was approved

    I have been attending UMA since April 2024, each time it is time to disperse financial aid its an hassle. I am being targeted because I have filed multiple complaints against UMA. I have been waiting since November 12, 2024 for my financial aid to be dispersed, today is December 17, 2024. I have had 4 different financial advisors, every time I call, I am being told something different.     I started at ultimate medical academy on 10/21/2024 and i was 2 weeks into my 1st course and then went to go and do my work the next day and it was saying error. It wasn't letting me login at all. I couldn't figure out why. And then about 6 hours later I get an email from my advisor saying that all the previous questions I asked him in my very 1st email to him he couldn't answer because he just seen I was kicked out/withdrawn from the program and he didn't know why. He said well we're your grades bad?! Were you not logging in enough? I had a 99.9% in the class and logged in every single day, never missed a day! Then I thought to myself wow I just handed in a disability accommodation yesterday and then all of a sudden I'm kicked out the next day without a warning or without informing me? To me this seemed like discrimination against my disability! So I emailed every single person that I knew of at UMA and told them I was going to report them for discrimination in accordance to the disability law if i wasnt re-enrolled cuz what they did was against the law. Not even 20 min later I get a call and an email from someone else who I never spoken to saying they wanted to get me back enrolled right away at the next start date. So I said okay sounds good. Then so I started again on Nov. 4th and then Nov. 5th I get a call from financial aid saying I'm getting close to pell ***** amount and only thing they can offer me is a loan through UMA but I would have to pay $500 a month! But they understand if I just want to unenroll and he just kept pushing me to un-enroll! I said dude I make $800 a month and support 3 children! and recieve ********** financial aid and you know I'm the lowest income bracket possible and u guys r offering me to pay $500 a month! If I could afford that why would I need financial aid! UMA JUST WANTED ME OUT THATS ALL! I WILL BE REPORTING UMA AND GOING VIRAL WITH MY STORY! thanks to them I was in tears n my mental health back down the drain!

    I am rejecting this response because: I started a second time on November 4, 2024 and turned in a letter from doctor stating that I was okay to receive financial aid and gave them my doctor information to send a paper for him to fill out. They gave my doctor less than 24 hours to fill out and fax a paper back. Of course no doctor can do that! Then they cancelled me the next day! Why should I have to start over again a 3rd time and do week one a third time when u guys are the ones who keep canceling me?! And I had financial aid set up already. I know I don't receive the pell ***** but I still can receive student loans. For as much as u guys charge and say to care about your students and their careers u sure didn't care about mine when I had a massive panic attack and ended up in the hospital because u guys made promises the second time I was enrolled and then didn't fall through with them. School is all I have thats good for me in my life right now. I'm trying to show my children to finish college but how can I do that if you guys keep doing this to me? I just want to be in school and finish my degree for my kids and myself. I've had a rough past 15 years of my life and lots of trauma and school is what helps me through that. So how can u guys make this better for me?! What can u guarantee?!

    I am rejecting this response because: I did another entire week of classes starting Nov 4th 2024 then u guys ripped me out of class again! And yes u needed my doctor to fill something out, and I gave the financial **** my doctors name and fax number and then the next morning I was withdrawn for that second time! I emailed my doctor that night before and told him to be on the lookout for it from you guys and it was never sent! I was just withdrawn not even 24 hours after talking with financial aid after they told me I wouldn't be withdrawn again because I had talked to them and they were going to send my doctor the papers to fill out. So how in the world is that even my fault that you guys can't do your job? You guys have caused me so much mental distress and crushed my goals and dreams and showed my kids that colleges can't be trusted. This is absolutely ridiculous that you guys have ruined my mental health cuz then after being withdrawn the 2nd time, u guys then call me the next day and said u wanted to get me signed up to start over again once again! So you guys wanted me to start over again with the same class for a third time? That's absolutely ridiculous. Makes me think it's all cuz of my simple disability on why u guys keep taking me out of class and then starting again. Because this all seemed to start happening the next day after I turned a letter in from my other doctor indicating an accomodation that I would need. I had no problems until I handed that in!

    There is an issue with the school and posting the funds to the account. I have asked for an update on my aid, what is needed what is missing, and they do not answer.I have been depending on these funds for the cost of repairing my computer, and they constantly call about work but will not give solid answers. I have called the student loan companies, but they are referring me to school. The agents are rude, ghetto and do not care to help me at all.     I was offered a schlorship from the ******************* for $5,000/ semester for career training. I applied to Ultimate Medical Academy and was approved to enroll. I received additional funds from **** of education, covering a majority of my tuition for the first semester. My personal portion to pay every month was $550.93 with the first payment due on 11/05/24. I signed my promissory note and informed Careersource of the additional funds. Careersource notified Ultimate Medical Academy that they would be sending a check on my behalf and I was able to start my first week of classes on 8/12. Once I started classes, the financial aid department started calling me several times a day, every day demanding a "good faith" payment be paid now. I advised them that I did not agree to make a "ggod faith" payment nor was I informed that I needed to make a good faith pyment prior to enrolling. None of my financial aid documemts that I signed mentions a good faith pyment and the school was already going to receive more than half of my tuition through scholarships and loans. I signed my documents agreeing to my first payment to be made on 11/05/24. When I told financial aid I would be stricking to my payment schedule as outlined through FAFSA and not make a good faith payment, they dropped me from my classes and deactivated my course. I have attaced all of my fiancial documents that were signed and a copy of my scholarship from careersource.

    I have been a student at UMA for this first semester. I have had nothing but hassle and lies. They called me multiple times statement of educational purpose to be turned in, and it was turned in on April 30th. When I started with UMA they called me 50 times every day about financial aid documents that I rushed went and got verified notarized and returned. I was then no longer called. I put in for a refund due to financial issues that I was having and was set. May 6th , I called and got told different information about the statement of education.Once disbursement time came, I was given a date of June 20th. On the 20th I spoke with *************** who was very rude and did not want to help. ****** hung up on June 25th and she hung up. I called and spoke with and was told that there was a wait of 2 weeks to 3 weeks for disbursement which did not match what I was told, but I let it go. I called again around June 21, June 25th, ****** gave a total turn around time of 2 weeks , and stated that it was the complete time.***** is saying I wont get it until Tuesday July 9 is a scheduled date , nothing before that and she's stated and additional 1-3 business days from that before I will see anything.

    I constantly keep asking for them to send my cost of attendance to my current school and they refuse and they are holding my financial aid because I dont want to attend their college anymore.

    Ultimate Medical Academy received your request from the Better Business Bureau on 6/24/24 for UMA to send your cost of attendance to another school.

    On 6/25/24, our Student Finance team had a phone call with you to discuss the need. We explained that completion of a FERPA disclosure form would be necessary to authorize us to send UMA tuition costs and financial aid information directly to another school. You agreed to completing this form and advised that you would return it as soon as possible.

    Once we have a completed FERPA disclosure form on record, we can provide your new school with the information requested.
