  DO NOT USE INTERNATIONAL VAN LINES. BAIT & SWITCH. We called ivl to see if they could move us after another moving company cancelled on us at the last minute. The other moving company we hired two months in advance. So IVL says, "sure, WE can move you tomorrow". "No problem, we have availability". We gave IVL our complete moving list all on an excel spreadsheet. We had packed everything ourselves and had the # of boxes broken down into how many small, medium and large boxes. All furniture was listed. Based on this complete list we were given a "binding estimate" of $15K to move us from WA to TX. We were told that as long as what was on the list didn't change the binding estimate is what we would be charged. We then find out IVL has "outsourced" our move to a company we never would have hired directly, called Navy Seals Moving. Navy Seals Moving shows up with a small 26' moving truck with a team of four people. The guy tells us that our IVL binding agreement is null and void and that Navy Seals Moving will need us to sign a different agreement and they quoted a price of $25K. They also explained they will need to get additional trucks since they only came with one. Since we felt like we were being scammed with the additional cost, for no reason, we cancelled them and did not sign any new agreement. Now IVL says because they have a 48 hour cancellation policy, they will not return the nearly $5K deposit we paid to them. There is a lack of honesty and integrity with this company. When we called IVL to speak with them about it the gal raised her voice and was basically yelling at us that we would not be getting our money back under any circumstances. Very disrespectful.

  They worked quickly AND carefully, fitting it in the timeframe we were hoping for. The three guys were great. I highly recommend if you're hiring movers.

  The company got most of my goods from Roebuck, SC to Salt Lake City, UT. They lost my leather office chair and antique button-back chair. Delivery to my new address took almost a month after moving in. The claims process to recover a small portion of the value of the lost items ($64) was cumbersome, onerous, and took months. Find someone else to move your goods.

  My experience with International Van Lines is positive. ****** is an amazing manager. He gives updates frequently, which is very helpful and comforting given that my belongings came from VA. They are a very good crew. They are punctual, efficient, courteous, and careful. I highly recommend International Van Lines!

  I hired International Van Lines to move me from **************************** to ****** , ** (Job#M4244929) . I thought I was being moved by a reputable company. The name of the company evokes a bonified *************************. The handed me off to fly by night company called *********************** Services. Unfortunately, after the delivery in Bethel, I started to realize that there were missing possessions. I called International Van Lines numerous times over several weeks and never got a call back. I have no recourse to get my missing possessions. There gone, most irreplicable.When they were putting boxes into my house in Bethel, boxes clearly marked "THIS SIDE UP" were stacked upside down. The driver of ***** extorted additional payment from me because he said he could not enter the property and had to come up with an alternate way saving me $3,400 to deliver from a distance to my house. That was nonsense. I specifically asked IVL to verify access to my house before hand. They confirmed access was good.

  I contracted with International Van Lines for a move and storage from Georgia to Alabama. I paid a 25% deposit to them. Then they contracted me out to ********************************** The packing, storage and delivery was a disaster. At least 23 items broken of which I have pictures for proof and many items never delivered. No one from International Van Lines or Cosmos will return my messages or calls. Would like compensation for loss items.
