****! I was charged for a year of service on 6/22/25 for ****************** delivery and so far I have received no paper the last 3 times. I called 3x and was told that it would be taken care of, but am still not receiving the paper. I am now disputing the charge with my credit card.

Terrible company. Last Sept., I paid $234 for a years worth of home delivery of Sun Sentinel newspaper. I just received a notice that after 6 months of delivery's, they are stopping the paper with no refund. I thought a contract was a contract and it cant be broken midway. If they want to stop their ever skinny paper, refund me the difference. I've called several times and the answer is no refund. Not right. There really should be a Zero star review as I would have used it.

Unscrupulous business practices. They hike their rates with little or no notice. I have multiple times called in to cancel or complain. The last time was a few months ago. They offered me an only slightly rate and then when I said just cancel, then offered $7.96 a month. More than I really care to pay but tolerable. To complained about this practice and pressed the agent on how long this rate would be good for, but got no straight answer. I just saw on my credit card statement this month it is $19.96. I am *** UP with these games. And it is really a shame because newspapers need support and I want to support mine. Why cant they just have some integrity? I am cancelling now forever. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. And I can already tell will write some saccharine response, as Ive read to some many other Complaints below. Dont bother. Just let me know when you all are prepared to honor the rates you quote customers, for at least 12 Months at a time. ******* pulled this stunt and you had to call in every 12 months to avoid the rate hike, but at least they honored 12 months. Whoever owns the Sun Sentinel doesnt even have that modicum of integrity in jerking customers around. Again, and it pains me to say it, but DO NOT SUNSCRIBE.

Today I reviewed my **** statement and found that Sun Sentinel had billed my via ez pay for $259.48. I had previously signed for a trial subscription. I did not approve Sun Sentinel to bill me in advance for an annual subscription. of $259.48. I called the cancellation **** today to dispute and told the agent that they did not have my approval to bill me $259.48 and that I wanted to cancel and be refunded the payment. The agent hung up on me. I have contacted **** to dispute and have the charge removed. Very poor business practice by Sun Sentinel.

Very poor customer service. I signed up for a promo digital service then I did not wish to renew. They offered a new promo so went for it. Unknowingly they kept my previous account open as well but delinquent for non payment since the card expired. It continued to accrue to $85 and they demanded payment via email, I then called right away. Speaking with 2 service **** then a 'supervisor' they offered to reduce to amount to half. Why would a person have 2 digital accounts? I didn't use two to read a digital copy. It makes no sense. They said I had received the service and must pay. Being a new widow I was so upset to have a delinquent account so I agreed to pay half then cancelled my current account. I'm so mad at myself for accepting their resolve I may dispute it. Customer for decades - now gone forever.

I signed up on 10/17/23 for 52 weeks. Now I see an unauthorized renewal on my Amex card dated 7/24/24 for $55.64 In the past, they give you BS about how some issues are special or double-issues.And... I only get it twice a week (Wed, Sun), yet I've had 4 non-deliveries in the past 3 weeks. Even when they were supposed to re-deliver later in the day (my option), they didn't. They always say, "we'll credit you."The worst service. Think how many people are cheated who don't pay attention to the renewal date.

On June 23, 2024 I signed up for The Sun Sentinel subscription, the ad says, ( $17.76 FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR OF NEWS! 52 WEEKS OF WEDNESDAY & SUNDAY HOME DELIVERY PRE-PAID OFFER ONLY Offer includes Standard Digital Access. ) I spoke to Adel she said the subscription would start on June 26, 2024. I did not get a paper so I called and was told it was to late to send out a paper but I would get a credit which I still don't have. So on Sunday the 30th still no paper so I called again this time no paper was sent out so I cancelled my subscription and was told I would get a full refund. On July 7, 2024 ****** contacted me via e-mail apologizing for any inconvenience and hope that I would allow them to serve me in the future. So I replied back and said if you can guarantee I will get the paper on the delivery dates I will reinstate the subscription. ******** replied back to me ( We cannot guarantee you a paper delivery every scheduled day on time. So the Sun Sentinel refunded me back all but .45 cents. Yes .45 cents is nothing but if this company does this to more customers that .45 cents adds up. Also why would a company offer something that they cannot deliver?

Horrible. Ordered a print subscription for my mother in Jan. ** also comes with an electronic edition but she can't access this because of her age. ** was never delivered. When I called Customer Service, they apologized and lowered the price. ** still wasn't delivered. After 10 days of no deliveries, I cancelled the service (Jan 24). I then get a phone call 13 weeks later that I owe a balance of *****. I have confirmation number of cancellation. They cant get this right. I am the still receiving the electronic edition of this paper and they still send me emails that I owe money. This is a poorly run business and need to be reported.

The Sun Sentinal has fraudulent business practices. After signing up for a 6 month digital subscription at a specified quoted price of $6.50 for 6 months (even got confirmation number from vendor) ... they instead charged $103.74. Took persistence and finally insisting on speaking to a manager to finally reach a resolution. This was the second time this happened to us where they quote one thing and charge something different on your account. We do not trust the Sun Sentinal anymore and have decided to cancel our subscription

I think their billing practices are deliberately confusing. They make it difficult to cancel your subscription and send "invoices" that don't actually contain any information about your subscription or even any actual dollar amounts, making it difficult to tell if your cancellation was successful. You would think that a "BBB A+ Accredited Business" would be able to send invoices with relevant information such as an amount due, service dates, perhaps information about your current subscription and rate. But no, you just get "renewal options" which makes it sound like you need to respond in order to continue your subscription, while in reality they are just silently adding to your invisible bill every month. Sure, I should have read the fine print and realized that the fact I was still receiving any type of email from them meant something was amiss, but a company that wanted to be upfront with their customers would send accurate, detailed invoices. Harassing customers to pay a "past due" balance they've never been notified about for a service that was supposed to have been cancelled is not a good look.
