      Stanton Optical, *********, *******. I visited the store with my own prescription for eyeglasses. I brought in a pair of frames I had previously purchased elsewhere. From the very beginning, the interaction felt predatory.I informed the employee that I have vision insurance. The manager took me back to speak with the insurance person to verify coverage. The person stated she could not access my insurance information but assured me that it was fine because they had a much better plan with a better deal. When the manager returned and asked if she had checked my plan, she responded that it wasnt necessary. The manager, who told me she was new, seemed perplexed but didnt question it.I was informed that to fill my prescription using the frames I brought in, plus an additional, very inexpensive pair in-store that the sales guy encouraged me to get because it was a great deal, I was still charged nearly $800. I was advised to apply for financing if it wasn't affordable for me. I then asked for the cost to fill my prescription using only the frames I brought in, and was quoted $354. I paid for it with hesitation. All of this 50% off turned into nearly $800. I questioned the cost, and he gave me a story about how my astigmatism was the reason why the price was so high. I knew that was a lie. He also showed me where he had used my insurance plan and had taken $130 off, and it still cost a fortune. The salesperson and the insurance representative didnt get their story together ahead of time because she said I didnt need to use my insurance plan. After all, their deal was so much better.I left the store feeling like these people must work on commission. The experience felt deceptive. I got out of my car and went back into the store to cancel the sale, requesting a refund and the return of my frames. I was told that the lens in my frames had been broken, with a response that it was only a display lens. How did the lens get broken that quickly?

      I was or have been referring all friends and family to you guys , had friends and family even working for this place, but this today was the last time I will send anyone there, seems like they saw me as a dollar sign walking in, I will take my business elsewhere

      I ordered an eyeglass frame with Stanton optical on May 3, 2025 when they were 50% off. When i had not received the frames by May 20, 2025 i called their customer service number. Their *** told me that someone would get back to me from Stanton in 24 hours. I never got a call back from Stanton customer service. So two days later i called Stanton customer service again and was given just another run around. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager said that he would search out the problem and get back to me in 24 hours. That was nine days ago and I have not heard from them. I looked up the company owner and president--Daniel Stanton and sent him an e-mail explaining the problem to him. That e-mail was sent on May 27, 2025. Once again no response from him either. after six days of waiting I paid $39.00 for the discounted frames and the calls to their customer service were just a bunch of lies that they tell.They took my money and did not provide the product I paid for.

      The employees at ****** Optical in ***********. are always so professional/curious and looking for the customers needs...****** and DC are perfect examples of how workers dealing with the public should be...I think they deserve promotions and pay raises for their Awesone customer service!

      My wife called to see if the "70 dollars for exam and glasses free" was still in effect. It was confirmed at the front desk. However, after the exam, she was told she could not get the promotion because the eye rating was to high.**** IT, Then the promotion was just to get us in the door to get the bait and switch. That is a bad way to do business. Don't advertise the promotion if it does not apply to everybody. My wife end of spending over $300. That is BS and the practices should be stopped now.

      Staff was friendly but the company itself is not geared to handle high index lenses. They cut the lenses incorrectly so that they didnt even fit in the frames correctly and they said they would send them out to be redone . They called 2 weeks later to say that they were ready and when I got them they filthy while still not being fixed .

      comically bad the disconnect between what you think and what you find is like A third world failed state compared ti a tidy *********************** owners and local owners hace no sense of shame in their practices and deceptions A failed concept, anyone who franchises this should have their head examined before their eyes

      Ever since I left that place. Something has not been sitting right. I first called to get cost of exam thinking I was calling store. It was an overseas customer service center. He must get paid based on appointments because he was very pushy to get me locked in on appointments appointment that day. Next, the actual exam was virtual with a ** that seemed again, out of country. Next I was told to sit tight and browse frames while they waited for his prescription. I found a pair that was on sale. Long story short. What I had planned on being a ***** dollar visit turned into over ******!!! Their discounts on frames and claim of the exam fee being waived with purchase is BOGUS!! They jack up frames and lenses cost to make it look like you saved hundreds!! And upsell you. And heres the kicker. It appears the time to get my glasses is the same amount of time I would have waited by ordering myself from the overseas site such as ZEELOL at a MUCH CHEAPER PRICE!! I feel like they did the same for hundreds of dollars more!!!!! Do your research with this place!!!!

      No eye doctor on site managers rude went in for a progressive lenses could not wear them went to bifocals they were hundreds dollars less then the progressives and they said no refunds no matter what went to use the lenses insurance for scratches told me it would cost $66 what did I pay $25 for the insurance and that's when I asked for refund cuz they were ripping me off the way I look at it talk to their customer complaint department give me right back to the store and I didn't care to talk to anybody in that store so what do you do now

      The $79 for 2 pairs is a lie. If you want them made on site I was told that they "have to" do a UV coating which is $10 pair. When I asked why, she just shrugged and said she didn't know. So it's $99 for two pair. That's how it should be advertised. Also, after I agreed to pay the mystery $20, she comes back and says they only have the left lenses in stock, not the right, and it will take 2 weeks to order them. Literally the only reason I went there was to get them in an hour. Then I mention maybe I should go to a different branch, and she's *** oh yea! We can call another branch! (Hello?) After calling three branches they find them about an hour away. So an employee leaves to drive there and I had to come back the next morning to pick them up. Why in the world aren't they stocked with enough lenses?? Isn't that their only purpose? My prescription is very slight, I just need them for driving, so it's not like I needed some crazy strong lense. Very strange.
