The employees at ****** Optical in ***********. are always so professional/curious and looking for the customers needs...****** and DC are perfect examples of how workers dealing with the public should be...I think they deserve promotions and pay raises for their Awesone customer service!

My wife called to see if the "70 dollars for exam and glasses free" was still in effect. It was confirmed at the front desk. However, after the exam, she was told she could not get the promotion because the eye rating was to high.**** IT, Then the promotion was just to get us in the door to get the bait and switch. That is a bad way to do business. Don't advertise the promotion if it does not apply to everybody. My wife end of spending over $300. That is BS and the practices should be stopped now.

Staff was friendly but the company itself is not geared to handle high index lenses. They cut the lenses incorrectly so that they didnt even fit in the frames correctly and they said they would send them out to be redone . They called 2 weeks later to say that they were ready and when I got them they filthy while still not being fixed .

This is not the level of service or quality we aim to provide. Your feedback highlights areas we clearly need to improve, especially in quality control and communication throughout the order process. Please reach out to our customer service team at ************** so we can assist as soon as possible.

Ever since I left that place. Something has not been sitting right. I first called to get cost of exam thinking I was calling store. It was an overseas customer service center. He must get paid based on appointments because he was very pushy to get me locked in on appointments appointment that day. Next, the actual exam was virtual with a ** that seemed again, out of country. Next I was told to sit tight and browse frames while they waited for his prescription. I found a pair that was on sale. Long story short. What I had planned on being a ***** dollar visit turned into over ******!!! Their discounts on frames and claim of the exam fee being waived with purchase is BOGUS!! They jack up frames and lenses cost to make it look like you saved hundreds!! And upsell you. And heres the kicker. It appears the time to get my glasses is the same amount of time I would have waited by ordering myself from the overseas site such as ZEELOL at a MUCH CHEAPER PRICE!! I feel like they did the same for hundreds of dollars more!!!!! Do your research with this place!!!!

The $79 for 2 pairs is a lie. If you want them made on site I was told that they "have to" do a UV coating which is $10 pair. When I asked why, she just shrugged and said she didn't know. So it's $99 for two pair. That's how it should be advertised. Also, after I agreed to pay the mystery $20, she comes back and says they only have the left lenses in stock, not the right, and it will take 2 weeks to order them. Literally the only reason I went there was to get them in an hour. Then I mention maybe I should go to a different branch, and she's *** oh yea! We can call another branch! (Hello?) After calling three branches they find them about an hour away. So an employee leaves to drive there and I had to come back the next morning to pick them up. Why in the world aren't they stocked with enough lenses?? Isn't that their only purpose? My prescription is very slight, I just need them for driving, so it's not like I needed some crazy strong lense. Very strange.

I had no idea there would not be an actual ** there to do my exam. An assistant does your eye exam and then you go into a room for a so called virtual eye exam, which is fast. No one told me I had astigmatism in both eyes until the lady selling me frames told me. She couldn't explain it to me and of course, there wasn't an actual ** there to ask any questions. Also, the selection of frames is disappointing. There are no designer frames and the frames they do have are not cute. I finally found one pair that I kind of liked and they were going to be well over $400 because they don't take my insurance. ***, when I made the appointment, I was told they accept my insurance. I walked out paying for an eye exam that should have been free, with a eye prescription that may or may not be correct. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that has an actual ** there in person and who has nice frames to choose from. I won't be going back.

MINUS STARS!! They should be called Scamton. Went for 3 teens and husband. Wanted 2 for $79 deal. Turned out apparently, they all needed special prescriptions. Yeah right. The lenses would cost a bit more, but woah was I shocked. $5,000!!! For the cheapest frames?! The math was not mathing. I should have walked out right then and there but I figured the quality would be worth it. I was told I could do a payment plan via ACIMA. They are just as bad. ******* employee told me if I did 3 months of big payments I would be done or do 12 months lower payments it would have interest and cost more. The lady strongly suggested I do the 3 months. SHE left a huge detail out. I'll get to that. First payment was removed from my bank at $450. OMG!! I struggled with the second payment so I called ACIMA to ask for lower payments. Only option they gave me $450 broken down to 2 payments a month. And also, the contract was not for 12 months but for 18 months!! Then come to find out that the real deal was that after 3 months of payments I would then have to pay an early buyout option or if I don't then it keeps going to 18 months. All ACIMA could do was offer an apology for the misinformation to which they stated that this was an ongoing issue with Scamton, they had many complaints. Each blamed the other. On top of all that, the glasses are terrible. First few weeks, nothing but trouble. One lense popped off, had to go back. 3 pairs took over a month to get. Husbands lense 'script was reversed, they had to redo them. Paid for scratch resistance on all of them. Husbands and sons scratched within 2 wks. Daughter's lenses got loose, fell off and scratched. Employees can't get their info straight. There is SO MUCH MORE but I don't have room. STRUGGLED but we paid the early buyout on the last day of the offer. $1400 on top of the 3 payments. Didn't want to spend another day dealing with them. Out of 8 pairs only 3 are usable. Going back to ******** Best. They actually honor their deal.
