  From the first point of contact with DV Check / Jim Marshall, through the end, we were kept fully informed about the progression of our case to contest the initial insurance settlement offer that significantly diminished the value of our totaled car. The car was barely 10 months old and everything in it was new. Yet, we had to hire a secondary appraisal team to help us raise the ACV.   I Regret Paying DVCHECK – It Was a Waste of Money
  I should’ve written this review a long time ago, but I had a lot going on with my health and family. I honestly forgot all about the claim until I recently came across the old emails while cleaning up.
  I paid about $300 to DVCHECK.com for a diminished value report after an accident. I thought the report would help me get a fair payout from the other driver’s insurance company. But it didn’t help at all. The insurance company just kept rejecting it, saying it was “auto-generated” and didn’t prove anything.
  After I paid, DVCHECK gave me advice like getting two trade-in or cash offers from places like Carvana, Carmax, or KBB and sending them in to help build the case. That advice isn’t bad—but it’s something I could’ve done myself without paying anyone. If I had known that this was the main method of proving my claim, I never would’ve spent the money.
  When the insurance company wouldn’t change their mind, DVCHECK said my best option was to take the other driver to small claims court. But I didn’t have the time, energy, or peace of mind to deal with court. So I just gave up—and I lost the $300 I spent.
  In the end, the report didn’t help, the advice came after I paid, and I didn’t get anything out of it. If you’re not ready to go to court or gather all the info yourself, this may not be worth it. I hope this helps someone avoid making the same mistake.

  Mr. Marshall and staff were very helpful in both doing a diminished value estimate and additional support when I was negotiating with insurance company. When the claim could not be negotiated, I hired Mr. Marshall to be my expert witness in small claims court and he did a bang up job giving supporting testimony to the judge. I won the entire claim amount and I feel it was mostly due to Mr. Marshall professional testimony and his guidance. Highly recommend his services!

  I ordered a diminished value appraisal report on DVCheck after doing a lot of homework, which cost about 400 dollars. They told me the diminished value for my car is about 5k2 which I knew it was kinda of exaggeration to bait me to buy the report because during the entire conversation on the phone with the representative, all he wanted was paying the fees; however, I ended up buying the report due to their money back guarantee policy and DVCheck also listed on BBB as A+. Because of this, if anything goes wrong, I’ll file a claim with my bank to get my money back.
  My experience with DVCheck is average, they helped and guided me throughout the progress; however, my gut told me they did not do the best job to help me out but do an average job because when I asked about getting a full details report from Carfax for my vehicle to support the case if I have to show up in court, they refused immediately.
  - 1 star deducted for refusing a full Carfax to support me in the court
  - 1 star deducted for trying to get the payment without explaining much

  There is no question that DVCHECK, LLC is essential if you are trying to prove a diminished value claim. Mr Marshall does first class research and assembles enough documentation to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt the value of a claim. Mr Marshall provided his service to me 4 years ago and just this last month provided me with documentation that allowed me to substantiate his $4,200 finding and more. I was able to negotiate even at this late date a $4,500 settlement. His background and licensing in at least six states testifies to his ability to determine a fair value.
