This company is not truthful to their customer... I was charged an additional 163 for services that was not provided. Lots of hidden fees with this company. I am warning anyone that wants to rent a car to stay away from Thrifty....

Terrible. Car broke down while driving on the last day, and the customer service was absolutely terrible. When we arrived barely safely to the drop off to return the car, the rude, horrible woman that called herself the manager blamed us, saying "lucky you had an insurance". Never rent from Thrifty, i know i wont.

We used Thrifty in ****** and were promised to pay $213 for a single day rental, however when we returned the car on time and with full gas they charged us $388. I reached out to their nonexistent customer service team and got no response for weeks - finally after multiple follow up emails, I received a response that said we were charged for an extra day because we didn't return the car on time. I quickly responded with proof that we did return it on time and still have not heard any response from them even after multiple emails.

On August 2, 2022 my wife and I flew from Detroit, Michigan to Seattle to visit my son in Edmonds, Washington. As part of our arrangement we had rented a car through Priceline on July 16, 2022 and prepaid $908.83. The rental company was Thrifty Seattle Airport

When I talked to the clerk at the Thrift check out, I was told that Thrifty would not rent us a car because of a dispute I have with Hertz rental. I asked for my money back and the clerk told me I would have to call the corporate office in the morning and discuss that with them. I was told that Hertz, Thrifty, and Dollar will not rent to me.

I ended up renting a car from Enterprise. That night I called my credit card company and after hearing my story they refunded the $908.83 to my account.

The car was about to fall apart. The gas tank wasn't full when we got it. We filled the tank upon return but the machine wouldn't print a receipt so they charged us $26. Got a toll bill (which we always get from a rental company) and they charged us 9.99 Admin fee for EACH $6 toll. They were not upfront about this at all. We've never run into this at any other rental company. We've tried to speak to customer service with no luck. Never again.

Absolute worst. They charged a fuel surcharge if $34 even though I filled up less than a mile from airport before turning in. Have the receipt. These a-holes say I have to file a dispute THROUGH THE MAIL. Total scanners and thieves.

We rented a car to have reliable transportation to my sister's funeral. The gas gauge didn't work. We had a blow out and couldn't get help from Thrifty because it was unsafe for them to help us on the shoulder of the road. We had to change to the donut tire ourselves and then once off the road, they told us to drive almost 500 miles on the donut to our destination. They made a really bad day even worse.

I rented a car 6/30-7/3 from the Denver, CO airport and returned it to the same place. We were shuttled back to the airport and went through secruity when my child realized they left an item in the back seat of the car. I IMMEDIATELY started trying to contact them. I spent the few hours at the airport calling nonstop. The only people I would be able to get a hold of was the general customer service who would transfer me and no one would answer. While calling, i also completed a lost and found report. The next day after getting home, I started calling again. Called the lost and found, left messages, called customer service, they transfered me, no one answered. It's been going on for a month. I call a number, no answer - get transfered, no answer. Never got a response (other than a confirmation email) on my lost and found item. Went to check it again last night and my request has been deleted!!!! And it says unclaimed items are donated after 30 days. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO CLAIM IT SINCE DAY 1!!! Today (8/1), I called customer service for the 1000th time and a guy gives me the "Denver manager's desk line" and transferred. Finally someone answers and is RUDE AS ****! Interrupts me everytime I try to talk and tells me i have to call another number. I begged this man to just have someone tell me at the location if the item is there. My other child lives in CO and will make the drive to get it, I just need someone to confirm they have it and he refused to help me. Absolutely refused - I think his name was Jose S*******. (or S*******). I have never ever ever in my life dealt with a company that is so unhelpful. Never again will i be renting from Hurtz or Thrifty.

This Thrifty Car Rental location used deceptive trade practice to charge me more services I did not agree to. The only charges I agreed to was the additional driver charge and fuel charge. The agent led me to believe she was pulling up my information and confirming my reservation. She further only offered to send my rental agreement to me by email. It wasn't until I turned in the vehicle and received the final invoice when I discovered that I was charged for add on service for premium insurance and road side assistance that I would have never agreed to because I'd already paid for insurance coverage for the vehicle when I made the reservation and I already have road side assistance through my cell phone and have never had a problem when I've contacted them for assistance. I believe Thrifty uses this practice to recoup money that they lose when customers use 3 party services to save money. The rental agreement I received from Thrifty only reflected the $570 for their add on services. If they were truly being honest with their rentals they would have also included the $486 that I had already paid to the 3rd party company that I made the reservation with. I would have never paid over $1000 for a 6 day rental of a Toyota Corolla. That is totally absurd! I will never rent a vehicle from this company again. Thrifty Car Rental shouldn't agree to have a relationship with a 3 party company if they're going to deceptively cheat people!
