I rented a car in ******* in August. I go there a lot. I'm pretty familiar with there roads ad interstates. I was sent a toll bill 2 weeks later. I told them I never went through a toll and I was at Sea World on that date. From where I stayed to Sea World there were no tolls. Thrifty replied I have reviewed your account and concluded my initial research. Unfortunately, I was unable to identify any discrepancies with the vehicle mileage and rental record to indicate that the tolls reported against the vehicle are invalid. WHAT? how do you calculate a toll. If I went through a toll it would have taken a photo. They asked me to send them something that would have the date on it. Ok I had my ticket from Sea World and sent it. I asked them to see me the toll photo I have gotten that. I checked the ******* pay toll website there was nothing. If they are sending fraud toll bills to everyone who rents a car and they pay thats dollars that are adding up for them, which is FRAUD. I've never had issues like this from any other car rental. I will not use Thrifty any more

Thrifty Car Rental the worst company I have ever done business with. It has taken me months to write this because I had to take time to emotionally recover from the damage Thrifty did. I wont have enough space to write every detail because there was so much that went wrong. From the time I walked in the door to pick up my rental car the experience was immediately unpleasant. But more than the lack of customer service, the ********************** car I got had a full ant infestation inside. It was not immediately obvious as the ants and their eggs were hiding under the back seat, but I noticed one ant as soon as I got the car. I took a picture of it, but didnt think too much. The car was clearly not cleaned thoroughly but after the experience I already had with the front desk people I didnt want to deal with them again.By day 3 I noticed more ants (like *****). I immediately wrote a customer complaint form. Later in the day I went to grab my luggage and when I lifted it up there were HUNDREDS TO THOUSANDS OF ANTS AND ANT EGGS. I have pictures and videos of it all.I had to spend hours on the phone and computer to try to get help, just to be emailed back saying there was nothing they could do until I returned the car. Finally I talked with someone arranged for an exchange. I asked if there was anything I needed to do before the exchange and was told no. I went to go get my exchange car and when I arrived I was referred to as the ant lady and the first thing she asks was is it full? She was referring to the gas. I was not told to fill it up. Not once did she apologize for the inconvenience. The car they gave me was also dirty with a hair tie and food crumbs in the car. I had to spend my whole trip figuring this situation out and was repeatedly dismissed and uncared for. Like I said I dont have enough room to note the other awful things that happened. This isnt the first time Thrifty has been caught not cleaning cars. The lack of customer service is appalling.

**** in ******* *****. talked me into prepaying for fuel, but did not disclose to me that if I bring it back with 3/4 tank I still pay for a full tank of gas. They do this on purpose and it should be reported as theft. We are people are on a retirement budget and Thrifty car rental could care less.Thrifty, Hertz and Dollar are all crooks

My flight was canceled, and I ended up returning the car to the original location of my reservation. However, Thrifty still charged me over $70. All they care about is overcharging instead of assisting customers. It's no help to contact them. They won't response. I never rent a car with Thrifty again.

We had a reservation at ****************** airport for pickup on 8/23/22. Our flight was delayed by 1 hour. When we arrived to pick up our rental which was paid in advance, the 2 gals at the counter tell us that they had no cars available at all. We were placed on a "list" with 7 others ahead of us. She told us it would be at least another 3 hours. After a considerable amount of time and no one ahead of us getting a vehicle I asked and they confirmed that most likely would not be until the next day. Unacceptable. We had reservations 50 miles away and needed the vehicle we paid for. In the end- their customer service line is nothing other than a reservation line and they where continuing to take reservations when they had no vehicles in their inventory. We did get a rental from ********* she told us this happens every single day at ********* that they have no cars and people are left stranded. This issue needs to be rectified as it is consumer fraud to sell a service you cannot fulfill

I got to the location at the airport, which was out of state from where I live and a car was necessary as I was driving to a wedding. When I got there, while I had all of the required reservations records/confirmations, a valid ID and am well over 25 the representative said she couldn't rent me the car because there was a hold on my account but she would not tell me why. I've never had a bad experience before so there should be no reason at all for a hold but she wouldn't accommodate. I wound up having to leave the kiosk without a car, frantically contact my friend to see if she could rent us a same day car from somewhere else (which obviously wound up costing a fortune). I called Thrifty/Hertz HQ after leaving the desk and the woman on the other line said there was no problem or hold on my account at all and I should have been fine to rent the car. I returned to the kiosk, waited on line again then told the same woman that there shouldn't be a problem after all and she "rechecks" and VOILA! there is no hold on my account anymore suddenly, 5 minutes later. As an outwardly looking queer person, I can't help but take this as discriminatory as she would not tell me the reason she wouldn't rent to me and there turned out there wasn't one, according to HQ. I'll be going with Enterprise Rentals from now on and not get stranded.

Rental was reasonably priced. Pick up and return went well. $9.99 "administrative" fees for tolls are excessive. Surprised by $100 in fees for 10 tolls in *******. Will be avoiding Thrifty for travel in the future.

We waited in line for over an hour to get our car, there were only two cars available. The first car had a change the oil light on so we took the second one. After driving for a while we noticed that the left blinker wasn't working and there was a noise coming from the wheel well. We then noticed these problems were marked on the keychain from another customer. These are issues that could have caused an accident and hurt someone, I was very disappointed they were not addressed in the first place. Today I noticed that my credit card was charged and extra $50 from what Thrifty said the cost was going to be with no explanation. The only reason I'm leaving at 2 is because the lady who checked us in and the gentleman who took our return were very kind to us.

We reserved a car at *** for Thursday August 18. Apon arrival the agent indicated a wait up to 3 hours. The lobby had only vending machines and we were told we might loose our spot if we left and our name was called. The communication was horrible!! We only have the weekend off to visit family. A 3 hour wait for hundreds of people should be met with fines for the company. Clearly they knew that cars were limited and should let people know so other arrangements can be made in advance. **************** was non existent. They need outside audit to help consumers.
