      The company is very misleading and is only interested in promoting trips that will be more than the cost anticipated. They never sent an email of receipt of purchase or any other information pertaining to the trip. After billing my credit card immediately. When I called they stated because I hadnt booked reservation and was just considered an open end from the year of purchase date. I was then informed I needed to pay a $49 dollar booking fee that would be reimbursed upon joining presentation at the resort. I was advised this was optional if wanted to recieve a $200 dollar credit card. Also I found out a $15 resort fee per night and $250 security deposit .Poconos NOT

Upon review of your account and sales call, our records indicate that you contacted our reservations department an hour after purchase to advise that you had not received the welcome email confirming your purchase and you were advised at that time that you should expect to receive it by the end of day. We can confirm your email as well as a text message containing the terms and conditions of your package was sent to you at 4:17pm the same day. Please see the link provided: ********************************************************************************************Please be advised that clients are advised at the time of sale as well as in the terms and conditions of all additional fees. "Hotel room taxes of approximately $12-$24 per night (depending on hotel, day of the week, and time of year) are payable directly to the hotel upon check in at the hotel. Resort Fees of approximately $15 to $25 per day plus tax are payable directly to the hotel upon check-in. Any parking fees that *** or *** not be imposed by the hotel are payable directly to the hotel at each propertys published rates. All fees charged and/or credit card preauthorizations by the hotel are subject to change at the hotels discretion. A $49.00 Refundable Reservation Deposit will be charged at the time of booking to guarantee your arrival. Deposits will be refunded in full upon completion of your required presentation in its entirety, in the form of gifting to be used towards activities in your area of travel."Our records also indicate that you again contacted our reservations staff the next day, 08/26/2022 to discuss travel dates. At that time, you requested a refund of your package. Our agent offered you an additional 4 day 3 night vacation package at no cost which you declined.       this is the worst TAKE A BREAK TRAVEL spoke to a ********** ******* ****., and a ********************* who convinced me to pay the ***** refundable money. That is not True after 28 days of calling to cancel they cant cancel and they are keeping my money unless I book some time in the future, No every date is booked and I keep getting a run around. This is a SCAM.I booked a Reservation from Take a Break Travel in response to their advert of staying in a ******* Resort for 4 nights for ONLY $99, and against the promise of offering a resort accommodation in *******, ** for 4 nights of October 3 to 6 for only $99, it turned out that the ad was a fake promise. After I have paid, I was then asked 2 days later to pay another promotion for another ***** are you serious. NO DONT DONT DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY

Take a Break Travel is the provider of discounted vacation packages which require clients to attend a sale presentation on the benefits of discounted travel. Clients must meet the eligibility requirements for the sales presentation to use these packages. Please be advised that all clients are verified at the time of sale to ensure they qualify before purchase. At that time, you advised that you are currently legally married and was advised that legally married and cohabitating couples are required to travel together. Upon completion of the purchase an email as well as a text message is sent to all clients confirming the sale of the package which also includes a link to the terms and conditions fully outlining the eligibility requirements as mentioned above. Please see the below link sent to you: h******************************************************************************************* On 08/11/2022 you contacted our reservations department to arrange travel dates and verified that you are legally married however not traveling with your spouse. Our agent advised you of the terms and conditions requiring you to travel together and you stated that you would call back and disconnected the call. On 08/15/2022 you again contacted our reservations department advising you were legally single. A supervisor request was submitted due to the discrepancy. On 08/16/2022 you spoke with a supervisor and upon verification stated that you are legally married but will not travel with your spouse. Your account was then upgraded as a courtesy to our Go Any Package at no charge to you. Your new vacation package removed the sales presentation requirement which then permits you to travel without your spouse. In addition, this package provided you addition nights up to 5 at no cost, as well as the option to travel anywhere in the US and still receive a $100.00 **** card. Clients are required to pay the refundable deposit to secure dates, however, once dates are secured and your reservation is confirmed, your refundable deposit is credited back less any hotel taxes needed for your stay. On 08/23/22 you contacted our reservations department requesting to cancel your account, at that time a full refund of the $99.00 was processed back to the credit card used for the purchase.       Negative 5 stars. Approached at the circus circus *********. They had ** pay a 50$ refundable deposit. Told us if we went to a tour to just check out the grand view and think about staying there theyd give us gift cards and a free stay. When we got there it was a scam to try and force us to buy. Told us to show our bank account because they didnt believe we didnt have the money. Told me call my mom and ask for money. Said it was worth walking 2 hours home if we spent the gas money we had to get home. Still havent gotten my refund of the initial ******************** for and its been 4 days.

Neither Take A Break Travel or the Grandview Resort accepts this type of interaction and I assure you corrective actions will be taken.Regarding your $50 deposit "hold" you reference, this "hold" was released at the completion of your tour. We do not actuate a charge to your credit card, merely a hold of the $50 which, by our records, has indeed been released by us. Routinely, it takes the guest's bank 4-5 business days to reflect the release of these "holds". As of this date, your bank should have released this hold. If they have not done so, please contact them personally.Although we cannot change the events that took place we hope you will be assured our focus on your comments will immediately be addressed.       Classic bait and switch advertising. They advertised a 5-day vacation at Margaritaville resort in ******* and we have been trying to book for 20 months. Every single date we tried to book they said was unavailable. Today they told me that Margaritaville Resort in ******* is closed because of COVID which is a lie. You can go on any other booking site, including the hotel's site, and book a room. After calling 3 times and speaking to 3 separate people I was finally able to get them to issue my refund.

      I am an attorney and reviewed the Terms and Conditions immediately after purchasing. This statement is of key pertinence: "YOU MAY ALSO CANCEL THIS CONTRACT IF ACCOMMODATIONS OR FACILITIES ARE NOT AVAILABLE PURSUANT TO A REQUEST FOR USE AS PROVIDED IN THE CONTRACT." I have a contractual right to cancel and that is why you were forced to give me a refund. The problem is that each time I or my husband called Take a Break Travel to book our trip in 2020 and 2021, we were told that each date we requested was unavailable. Yesterday your sales representative flat out lied to me about ********************** being closed when it isn't. I understand you are in the business of selling time shares and the goal is to sell cheap vacations so that people will sit in on a timeshare presentation. There's nothing wrong with that. What is wrong is advertising a vacation that customers cannot actually book. That is deceptive and a violation of consumer protection laws.

      Total Scam... do not trust this company They said I got a free 3 day 2 night cruise and when we went to the welcome center the voucher said 2 night cruise stay and 0 guest. I spotted this and told the lady and she said it shouldn't be a big deal and wrote a 2 over it. We called the cruise line for a package that night and were told that it was reserved but not paid for. So we ended up paying it all out of pocket. Not just that, but I also paid for 2 night stay on *********** for $1200 and they cancelled it bc of COVID and put us in a crappy hotel in *************** instead. Finally, we were scheduled to stay in *************** the last 2 nights and after finishing some things with one of the reps, **************************she stated that that would have to be changed to ******* despite the 3 hr drive we would have to take to *************** to catch our flight. Doesn't really make sense after 2 other reps said that staying in *************** would be fine. This **** ************************** also took 1 day that I had for my rental car away and was trying to do everything in her power to not book us 2 extra nights in ** for the 2 nights we lost in ***********. So all in all, we ended up losing $2000 from this company.

Please be advised that Take A Break Travel is the fulfillment company contracted by GCC to fulfill the hotel, cruise, and car reservations for their vacation packages. TAB did not sell nor collect any monies for this vacation package. The vacation you purchased from GCC included 2 nights in ************* with a Budget car rental, a cruise including a 2-night stay in ***********, along with 2 additional nights in ******* for 2 adults. Clients whose package included the 2-night stay in *********** were provided the same number of nights on land in *************** in exchange for the 2-night Bahama stay as the properties were not able to open as quickly as the cruise lines did once Covid protocols were set in place since guests coming to stay in *********** were subject to stricter requirements than cruises. Upon review of your account, we can confirm that your reservation was booked as per the package requirements provided by your vacation provider GCC.       I booked a Reservation from Take a Break Travel in response to their advert of staying in a ******* Resort for 4 nights for ONLY $99, and against the promise of offering a resort accommodation in *******, ** for 4 nights of Nov 3 to 7 for only $99, it turned out that the ad was a fake promise. After I have paid, I was then asked 2 days later to pay a booking fee $49, and upon further clarification from their customer service, i was told i have to pay in addition an unstated amount of taxes to the Resort upon arrival, and in addition also pay a Resort Fee of $50 per night!! It's like i was scammed to book the Reservation. I want my reservation canceled and the $99 refunded to my card please. I am no longer interested in their offer. Kindly assist me please.

      Hello I am having an issue here. I booked a family vacation package for 99$ to the Poconos in ** and I tried to call to confirm my package. And the customer service rep said me and my significant other have to be married to receive this family package. Being that we are not I requested my 99$ be refunded. They told me that I couldn't get refunded because I ordered it on the 2nd of July past 30 days. I never received an email with the package terms and conditions. I was just told to call a 800 number and I was emailed a receipt for the package. I would really like a refund it's only fair.

      ****... paid for the trip and was told hotel was booked but needed another $49.99 for incase I canceled. Called the hotel and they said I was not booked and they have had other issues with people calling about same company. How can they still advertise knowing this?

      I am another person who cannot reach anyone or recall being asked my household income. My husband not only was exposed to covid cut I was going with a friend. Was not aware this was a time share that I needed to attend. Cannot reach anyone to get my money back. Hopefully someone sees this and gives me a phone number with a person I can talk to. My reservations are for this coming weekend. I was billed and the phone number my bank provided gives employment options etc. Not am actually reservation line. I will dispute with my bank of I don't get a reply today
