Signed a contract with Fabri-Tech Screen Enclosures and gave them a $2,800 deposit on May 29, 2023 for a 16x12 lanai screen enclosure with a panel roof. I have yet to be given a timeline of when they could start and repeatedly receive little to no communication from them when I try to contact. The only response I get when I reach out to them, because they never contact me, is "it should be soon" or "I hear papers being shuffled on the desk so there is some movement." They have never reached out to me with an update. I would like to get my lanai built or get my $2,800 deposit refunded.Business Response

I signed a contract 10/19/2022 to have a pool cage replaced that was destroyed during hurricane **** I started emailing and texting our salesman after 8 months of waiting as we were told it would be that long of a wait. I have emailed and texted about every two weeks starting around July 2023 hoping for a start date..It has been almost 15 months of waiting and have only noticed a company employee once taking measurements. I have been assured by *********** that the job is very close to being started but at this point I dont know what to believe.Business Response

Contracted with this company to fabricate and install pool enclosure. Contract was in 11/22 and I paid a large $10,000 deposit. Vendor has been impossible to communicate with. phone calls go unanswered, email are ignored. I fear the company is closing or has closed and has taken my deposit. My insurance company wants to why no work is done etc. I drove to the company without results. No one knows nothing...Company is ignoring my efforts to talk with them about scheduling or a refund. 14 months of waiting so getting a bit worried.Business Response

entered into a contract on 10/28/2022 with the company for the replacement of my pool cage gave ******** deposit from the ********* total charge. We were sold on that the wait time was 6-8 months possibly ***************************************************************** calling the company and never get our calls returned. As for the email reply's they are always the same excuse that they are out 4 months or 6 months the amount off months going to check and get back to you then nothing happens, nor do they actually follow up.Business Response

On 11/8/22, I contracted Fabri-tech screen enclosures for replacement of my pool cage enclosure. I gave them a check for $7100.00, which they cashed on 11/14/22. The sales rep ****************** stated the work would be completed by June 2023, due to the high volume of work due to Hurricane ***. I also have a text from **** from 11/6/22, stating they were about 8 months out. On 6/19/22 i texted ****, requesting an update. He did not reply until 8/24/22. He stated we were on the schedule for final measure. I informed him that the final measure was completed over two months ago on 6/21/22. i again texted **** on 9/1/22. He responded and stated, it's getting closer, I can tell by the movement of the folder. I recently texted **** on 11/2/22 and have yet to receive a response. In addition to communicating with ****, my wife and I have also called their office. Sometimes they answer and sometimes they don't. When they do answer, the response is always the same, your in measure or we don't know. We have also asked for a refund of our deposit and we will hire someone else. We were told the refund was non-refundable. Non-refundable when you have not performed the work after one year?! As far as I'm concerned they are in breach of this contract. We have tried to be patient, but this is beyond acceptable! Complete the job as contracted or refund my deposit.Business Response

The enclosure will be built at our shop next week 12/3-12/9 and installed on site the week of 12/10-12/16. In regards to the deposit, the end user because they don't see us on site feels like we are not doing anything on our end when in fact we are. We have sent our measure guy out to get actual measurements(two man crew). Our in house design professional designs the cage on the *** system. It is then sent out to an engineer who completes the engineering packet for permitting. Our permit coordinator then puts together the permit package. We contracted and placed a $9000 deposit with Fabritech 11/2022 to replace our lanai post ***. We completely understood that high demand and supply chain challenges were going to be make lead times longer than normal so we did not expect delivery for a few months at best.Our issue now is that we were emailed in July from Fabritech that the project was in production and would be 7 weeks away from completion.The lanai has yet to be scheduled for installation, and every update since then has been that it is still in production, or that the issue has been escalated to management but with no response from management.Business Response

Started talking to salesman in 2022 before ***, gave a $1200 deposit to start work on our porch, for aluminum and screening, been over a year now and cannot get anywhere with ***** in the office who gives everyone the same story of not being able to give a date to start. Permit was pulled on our property as well. I have seen all the reviews on BBB, ******* Yelp etc.. all with the same problem. Deposit paid and no work done! I either want my money back or get the work done! My next call will be to ******** This is a tiny job and should not have to wait over a year to even get started! We hired Fabritech to replace our pool cage following Hurricane ***. We signed the contract in December 2022 and were told at that time that construction was about 8 months out. We are now approaching 11 months and every time we contact them for updates, no one can tell us anything. There is still no permit filed with the city for the new pool cage and no one at the company will give us a straight answer. At this point, we are considering involving a lawyer as they have essentially stole. $7500 from us and not completed what they were hired to do. This is the most unprofessional company we have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.Business Response

Contract to replace pool cage was signed on 11-16-22 and deposit was made at that time. At the time I was told that the cage would be replaced within 5 or 6 months. It has now been 11 months. Numerous attempts have been made to contact the company with little success. Communication has been very poor and calls go unreturned. Today the call was actually answered. The general manager was very unprofessional in his response and I was told that orders are completed in the order received. Upon looking at other complaints on this site I am discovering that an order placed after me on 11-23-22 was completed on 8-8-23.Business Response

Unfortunately our time lines have grown tremendously. As for this customer they did come off very rude and yelling through the phone at the secretary and manager. We contracted with FabriTech to replace our pool cage in October 2022. We were told if we gave them a deposit before the end of October, they could get it done before the end of 2022. We put down $10,000+ deposit and it was cashed in October 2022. Then crickets. No communication. We have been told - when we finally get through - that it would be before the end of January. Then March. Then June. In July they finally said they didnt know when theyd get to us. They have no idea how many are in front of us. I have asked about a date or a refund. As the company we are trying restore a multitude of screen enclosures. At no time has our sales staff informed any customers that if they get a deposit in by a certain date then your enclosure would be installed by a certain time. I am rejecting this response because:I was so excited I heard from the screen company I clearly responded too quickly.
I indicated that the issue had been resolved the manager called me and set a time (this week) to have my pool cage put up. I was satisfied with that. It is Friday afternoon and I have seen no one. When I called yesterday, the person answering the phone said the manager was out on vacation and could not be reached. She said my account says the project is in Build and if the ** said this week, well, there is tomorrow but things come up. Clearly they continue to lie to me about getting this job done. I do not understand why this is such an issue. There is nothing unusual about this job. I would like to amend my response.
