1 starI want to cancel my Instructor Membership. Due to some changes in my life, I will no longer be teaching Zumba (never taught at all, anyway, but have been paying for quite a while!) Called 3 months ago to cancel and got very rude, strong and coercive treatment from the customer service ********** is an awful company!!!!!! I was coerced into putting my account on "hold"... for 6 months. Still being charged. I agreed, just to get off the awful phone call. I cannot BELIEVE they do not have any other options for cancellation, except these calls with bullying tactics!! Today, I tried again, through CHAT on their site. I have been going back and forth with the Chat *** for HOURS, ***eating my request to CANCEL. They keep ignoring me, passing me on to someone else, telling me ***eatedly to call. I've just kept ***eating my request: CANCEL. Without a good outcome soon, I will be telling everyone I know, through every channel I can, how shady this company is!!!! I WISH TO CANCEL!!! (Why the company would want to hang onto me so tightly is beyond my fathoming!! I despise this company now!!! Oh, wait... I know why. They want to take my money dishonestly. So, so shady!!) If you follow the link to their "free trial", you have to sign up for a yearly membership to get the free trial. It is hard to even catch this, so you basically give them your credit card information and then they start charging you. Their customer service is evasive, condescending and rude. It is very hard to cancel the subscription you never wanted in the first place. They likely would not have to trick people into membership if their product was better.Zumba Fitness, LLC

Were truly sorry to hear that your experience with the Zumba App didnt meet your expectations. We want to clarify that the free trial is only available with the annual plan, and we make this distinction clear on the subscription page. When users select the monthly plan, there is no mention of a trialthe button instead reads Unlock My Classes, to help differentiate between the two options.We understand how frustrating it can be if things dont go as expected, and we sincerely tried to explain this through our email exchanges. Were genuinely sorry if our responses came across as anything less than helpful or respectfulthat was never our intention.
Regarding cancellation, it can always be managed directly through the platform used to subscribe, and were here to support that process whenever needed.

1 starThey make canceling the biggest pain! Why on earth do I need to call and speak with someone about canceling? Then they make you listen to a whole spiel about how if you cancel, then you'll have to pay even more money to be a member again. Also the trainings are awful. I assume they don't even look at the "teacher" who are leading their trainings because it's wild how bad those instructors are. The woman who lead mine was a a total joke. I wish you could leave reviews on their trainers because I never would have taken her training, had I known the quality of her education and dance experience.Review fromMadelaine R

1 starThe company had very misleading information on their marketing which said I had unlimited time to access and complete the online course, which is the reason why I didn't ask for the refund. I also spoke with customer service which confirmed that I can complete the online class even until end of the year, but as soon as October ended, I can't access the class anymore and the zin membership that they charged me for a month. I called and cancelled that membership as it was useless to pay for it unless I'm licensed to teach their courses. They kept apologizing but never gave any option to resolve the issues and then left the chat message without resolving anything. This company just takes your money and doesn't really care about their customers and clients. You wouldn't want to be associated with Zumba Fitness LLC. It says it's a zumba strong nation but again, very misleading information as what they're doing is unethical business practice which is the opposite of a strong nation. I do believe that their classes are good but the way they do their business is lacking transparency and they over promise without delivering the intended results which is why there are so many unsatisfied customers. Instead of building good relationships, they would rather keep the money without helping their clients and customers. This is the kind of company you're dealing with if you work with them.Review fromDiana C

1 starI contacted Zumba on 9/24/24 due to some over charges I received with my membership and attempted to get this resolved over the phone. Unfortunately they did nothing and got over charged in October as well. I then contacted Zumba a second time and also emailed them about the over charges on my credit card. I informed the representative that I spoke to on both attempts how I did not have access to my zin and was being charged for this service the worker informed me that they would be expediting my care to a supervisor to handle my refund for a service I did not have access too. They gave me a timeframe with 5 days that this would be resolved and its been 30 days with no resolution. I am now having to file a dispute with my bank to try and get this resolved. This is a huge inconvenience and bad business practices from Zumba. I am so disappointed with the way they have handled my complaint on attempts to get a full refund with no resolution.Review fromJohara-Gemma A

1 starIt's a scam. Their website doesn't let you cancel your membership. I called them and to cancel my membership and was told they had to think about it. I told them I don't want this membership anymore. Apparently they did not delete my membership and still withdrew money out of my account without my authentication.Review fromGraylyn Y

1 starAwful company, please be aware this company is a scam! I have been trying to cancel for over two weeks and they wont let you. You cant speak to a manager, i have had a zin membership for less then a month and i have been trying to cancel since aug 9 due to medical reasons and they literally wont let you unless you pay another 50 membership. They say they dont charge you in advance but that is lie. When I signed up at the end of july my first zin was paid for with the 169$ initial payment, my next payment date is Aug 21st but they refuse to cancel it and want me to pay another month, which means they want you to pay in advance. This company is the biggest scam, what kind of business has no mangers to speak too!? If they dont correct this matter i will make sure the gyms in my area NEVER do business with this awful company again. Truly sad how they continue to scam countless innocent people! I wish i would of looked at all the complaints against this company before I signed up!Review fromSara G

1 starI have been a member since 2012. They have no option on their website to cancel membership. And when you follow prompts to cancel they make you call and leave you on hold for a very long time. It is almost impossible to complete the process. Oh but they have recurring monthly fee auto debits available for monthly, 6 months, and yearly. Isn't that convenient. And when you actually do talk to someone they try to convince you to keep your membership active. Can you do the math, if there are thousands of members who don't have time to go through the whole cancellation processs and keep a membership of an average of $43 a month? They are taking advantage of so many people. They are so not worth the money!!Review fromSofia F

1 starHorrible customer service , customer service impossible to reach , they send you nice email immediately that your request sent to their queue and you can wait 3-4 weeks for their response. Return packages getting lost. They process orders not in order they received and if you dont receive an item their refund time unclear if it will ever happends. They marketing does not makes sense , they keep full price on merchandise and when they have sale they reduce 75%. Their merchandise is good quality and design and they ship fast, if you are okay with all the risk related to their support and customer service.Review fromLindsay M

1 starSigned up for a free trial on their app, cancelled my services the same day the trial ended, but they still charged me and refused to refund my account because it was a few hours between when they said my trial ended and when I cancelled that SAME BUSINESS DAY because it wasn't the "same day" in their time zone, which isn't listed on the website... Predatory, disgusting company. I filed a claim with my credit card company.
