Network Solutions provides hosting, domain, and other types of web services. I currently have monthly subscriptions for website, domain, and technical support. I have utilized their services for my website and recently inquired via email on 6/17 about making a simple update to some pdf files. An email response was sent back for me to call in which I did so on 6/18/25. During the call, I was initially informed I needed need to purchase another subscription service in order to make this change. I was then told they could do it as a one time courtesy. After a couple transfers between their departments, I was told they will make that change after I renew a subscription even though it hadn't expired. The technician took a payment of $42.45 over the phone. On the morning of 6/19/25 I received a call asking me to check for the updates. That is when I noticed changes to my home page, mobile site, and the pdf files were not updated. I informed the technician, ****, to make these corrections. She contacted me a couple times more to continuously ask about the pdf files being updated and I repeatedly informed her my home page was now changed and my mobile site was now down. She stated she would escalate. I was later emailed that I now have malware and need to purchase another program to resolve my issue. I called the technical support line and inquired why they could not restore my site. I was then told it was completed and that I needed to pay for malware programs. After some back and forth, the technician, ****, admitted no changes had been made. I asked for a supervisor/.manager and was told no one was available. My mobile sites are currently down and there are unapproved changes to my website. This company is making it seem as though unless I pay for additional monthly subscriptions, they will need resolve the changes they made.Initial Complaint

Business charged me for my annual renewal plan, several times discussed in chat with representatives, in order to get a discount. After a resolution where the representative was going to give me a 20% discount, I trusted all was finally ok( like every year, like I've done for the many years I've been in the company as a customer)and the representative took a kind a revenge and failed to apply my payment correctly(but did charged it/$105.50). So he didn't apply it to my domain and hosting as we had talked widly and applied it only to my hosting. Putting my domain in the market due to I trusted all was ok after my payment. So, because he did wrong on purpose, my domain was unpaid and only hosting was covered. Now, I do have a hosting for nothing because i don't have a domain. iPage says ( due I didn't know this was happening 'cause I trusted all was ok after my payment) now "they can't return my money before is late. But I just want my money back to have both domain and hosting (as it was paid)Initial Complaint

Network Solutions allowed my domain to be transferred by hackers to ******** on May 13th.After jumping through all their hooped to confirm our identity, they got me back into the account and confirmed that it was a fraudulent transfer.They than claimed to be okay working with ******** to get the domain back.After 2 weeks of going back and forth, they are now saying it was not a fraudulent transfer and refuses to supply ******** with the information needed to get the domain back.They went ahead and closed my ticket (ABU-47112) and told me that it is not longer there issue and there is nothing further they are going to do.They do not have phone numbers for me to call and talk to the correct team and when I try to talk to the people that do answer the phones, I am told I just have to wait for the Abuse team to email back and to email them through the ticket.The ticket s now closed and all I get is a bounce back saying the ticket is closed and if I have another complaint to go to their website to open a new ****** website and email have been down for over 2 weeks now and my business is suffering.Initial Complaint

Case Ticket: E-325560 They supposed to transfer my domain but failed to do so until the *** code expired. Now, their hidden support team asks for a new *** code and I am stuck with NO email for Network Solution Support team. This is a shadow organization works under disguise. How come they email me asking for information and don't provide a reply email. The email they sent from is not monitored as they claim.Initial Complaint

I decided to end my contract with Network Solutions and transfer my business to another provider. I notified Network Solutions at least a month before my termination date. Every time I called them they a) tried to get me to stay and b) gave various excuses for why the transfer of my domain name was not going through. They delayed until after my contract with them had expired. They then told me the only way I could transfer my domain name was if I had a current contract, so I had to buy another year- long contract from them. This is clearly a scam. I did pay for another year, was able to transfer my domain name elsewhere, and then terminated my contract with Network Solutions. I would like my money back.Customer Answer

Many years ago, I worked for a non-profit called RainbowRec, and we have had our website domain registered with Network Solutions since then.5 years ago, I left the organization, and I transferred the Network Solutions domain's main contact to ***** ******** who remained at RainbowRec.Out of nowhere, my credit card was charged by Network Solutions for this account. I contacted their support to let them know this was fraudulent, as they're charging my card for this organization's domain name renewal, and without my permission.I requested a refund, which they offered, but then they later recharged it. So I issued a chargeback to my credit card company. I got the chargeback, then they recharged me again. I charged it back again, they then fought the chargeback, providing materials from ***** ********** account, not mine, even though their support acknowledged the fraud originally. They won the chargeback, even though, again, this isn't my account, it's RainbowRec's. Then they stopped responding to my *********** request is that they refund me this money and ensure that my credit card is permanently removed from their records so it can't be charged again.Initial Complaint

I have been locked out of my business *********************************************** January 2025. I have made numerous unsuccessful attempts to comply with Network Solutions updated security policy. Upon reaching out to customer service multiple times, they have asked me for sensitive information beyond what the policy states, including a color copy of my US Passport, despite continuing to pay my domain bill. I recently received a bill dated 3/12/25 for $336.59, which I informed them I wouldn't pay until access to my domain email was resolved. I still have not been able to resolve this issue, and I am looking to BBB for assistance, as my 20-year-old business email has not been working and has affected my business. I HAVE BEEN DOING BUSINESS WITH NETWORK SOLUTIONS SINCE 2012. THEY HOST MY WEBSITE *********************. I CONTACTED THEM TO MAKE A MINOR CHANGE TO MY WEBSITE: CHANGE MY ***** ADDRESS FROM ***************************** TO **************************** THEY CHANGED THE ***** ADDRESS AND IN SO DOING THE WEBSITE DOES NOT FUNCTION LIKE IT DID BEFORE THEY MESSED WITH IT. I HAVE CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES TO ASK THAT THEY RESTORE MY WEBSITE THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE THEY TOUCHED IT. I GET SOMEONE IN THE PHILLIPINES WHOSE COMMAND OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IS TERRIBLE AND THEY CANNOT PUT ME IN TOUCH WITH SOMEONE IN THE ** THAT SPEAKS GOOD ENGLISH. My website had a very good home page that showed a modular home under construction and you could scroll through the tabs to know who we are. The screenshot you show is old and was not on our current website.
