    Received my module with nothing done to it, no explanation why and only a partial refund. Attempted to contact several times and I was told to stop contacting them. I will be reversing these charges on my card. I wish I had found these reviews earlier.

    Unfortunately, the Better Business Bureau is doing a disservice to potential customers with rating MODULE EXPERTS with ANYTHING greater than a "F". I could not agree more with the reviews below as to the absolute most UNPROFESSIONAL customer service offered when their business is based on SERVICE. When phoning to inquire about information, **** whom I would think is a technician as his customer service over the phone was if he was too busy to assist the potential customer. From the multiple calls made seeking assistance, I learned there is an actual sales department that should honestly be the ONLY ones taking calls and then re-routed over to customer service if needed which is going to be a need based on the service provided after your money has been spent and you are looking for an explanation that is neglected to be informed at the time of sales encounter. Take the advice of US and DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY with Module Experts. You will feel a lot better to just donate it to a charity, at least you know it's going to a good cause.

    SCAM! Do not make the mistake that I did and send them your ***. Rather than do what they promised and repair it for a low cost, they will say they cannot repair it and they will gladly sell you another *** for hundreds of dollars more. Received a VERY rude email from one of their their techs who was upset that I tried to talk to him directly instead of just reply back to his email. Took me 4 phone calls to get them to finally issue a partial refund and send the *** back.

    How are these guys accredited by BBB?! Over a hundred reviews with a **** avg. And here is another less than 1 star for Module Experts/AES Modules/National Parts Wholesalers. I dealt with ****. As most everyone else has experienced, this is a TOTAL SCAM. I was told upon first contacting AES Modules that my 2007 Cadillac CTS Engine Control Module could be repaired for $179 flat fee. No mention of a diagnostic to determine viability of repair or a diagnostic charge. When I was ready to send it in I was then informed I had to pay up front for the repair. Again, no mention of a diagnostic or diagnostic charge. So I paid and they sent me instructions and a questionnaire for details about the module and my VIN. I filled everything out and shipped the *** to them. A week went by and I hadn't heard anything so I called. I was, of course, informed that my module could not be repaired and I would have to buy a refurbished one for an additional $400 or so. Classic BAIT & SWITCH. I told them to just send mine back since it was mostly operational. Then they informed me I would get like $60 of my $179 refunded due to the diagnostic fee. I said I was never told that mine may not be able to be repaired, nor that a diagnostic would need to be done. **** told me it was detailed on my receipt. I told him his email only had a questionnaire. He said there was a second email sent after that with a receipt. He was right, It went to spam and I never saw it. Of course only AFTER you pay are you informed that you are on the hook for a $100 diagnostic fee, plus service charge, plus tax at 9% I might add (which is illegal in *******, I will be reporting them to the state on that one). Wish I had read the reviews before hand. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Module Experts, AES Modules, or any other business affiliated with National Parts Wholesalers. Absolutely horrible ethics.

    I had an almost identical experience with **** as others have mentioned. However, I am providing 3 stars only because I was luckily able to get in touch with the Customer Relations Manager, ***********************, once I called in the general number to escalate and demand a refund. *******'s was pleasant and reasonable to speak with, unlike ****. After a voicemail, returned call, and an email or two, ******* moved swiftly to issue a full refund, including the amount that was "non-refundable". If others find themselves in a similar situation with ****, I recommend not wasting your breath with him and instead trying to get in touch with *******.

    Everything was fine until I asked a single question. I just asked him to elaborate on what "unrepairable" meant. They didn't even attempt to answer the question before I started getting the run around, yelled at, and hung up on. At this point I lost several hundred dollars and I'm just grateful I did actually get my parts back eventually. What a s*** show, not even allowed to ask a single question.

    terrible terrible terrible!!! This has to be a scam by the number of similar complaints like mine. sent in my *** ECU for diagnostics only to told its not fixable and will send back. Three weeks later and after 9 calls and 3 emails no update on when my part will be shipped back to me. The customer service will not call call back or email any follow up. stay away from this business.

    Worst "customer service" ever, anywhere. Called for a BCM quote, asked one more time to confirm that they had the year correct (the era I needed work on was on the line of OBD1 & 2) and this clown got so mad he blew up, refused to work on it and hung up, just like that. I called back to make sure I had heard correctly and we went back and forth, both of us calling each other, him telling me I needed an education, should be working somewhere right now, etc etc. It was amazing! Unbelievable that they have a business still...I would leave zero stars if I could. Looking at these other reviews, should have known better than to try with these clowns.The only thing these fools need is some major "repair" in their customer "service"! Please find a real business for your auto part/electronic module needs.
