1 starI paid over $13,000 to move my things from ** to **. I am not exactly sure how many things are damaged because there are too many to count. Boxes crushed, solid mahogany bedroom furniture scratched - everything, nightstands, dresser, shelf, bed frame - three standing tall lamps (two were stereo speaker lamps) had to be thrown away - decor bent - worst of all there was tape wrapped directly on many of my wood furniture items permanently damaging the surface. In addition, the reason you should not use Good Greek Moving is because their compensation for damages is $0.60 per pound!? I don't think the weight of my mahogany furniture represents its value. If something weighs a 100 lbs and they ruin it, they'll maybe give you $60? They also only sent 2 movers with the delivery in ** and I really felt bad for them. Two movers to get all of the items in my house that 6 movers packed up and moved out! If you are not going very far and it is all in the same day and you do not have anything of real value, go ahead and risk it. I decided to forgo the mediocre reimbursement they offered me (which won't replace practically anything they damaged) so I could post reviews instead.Review fromShelley B

1 starDo NOT use Good Greek! They are dishonest and very shady in their pricing. When I arranged moving services and storage of items, ****** *** **** quoted the pricing. I specifically asked if the prices he stated included delivery of my items and he said yes. I am not an expert in moving services, clearly. When I asked ****** some simple questions to ensure I understood the process, he seemed annoyed. His tone suggested that I should know all of this and that I was wasting his time by even asking. I should have taken that as a sign. After the initial move, we paid a little over $5000 for the move and storage, which I was fine with. Within just a few days, I called back to arrange delivery of our items as we had secured our new apartment. ***** *. was pleasant and stated that she would get our quote for the delivery. I explained my previous call with ****** and that he said we wouldn't owe more after the first payment. I told her how we had paid over $5000 already and she agreed that this seemed high. She told me she needed to research some things and that she would call me back. She never called back. I eventually called to inquire of the status and ensure we would be getting our items back. They basically said we wouldn't get our items back until we paid an additional $3500. I spoke with several people and each time I was transferred, I had to re-explain. Each person seemed concerned, but ultimately didn't do anything. I eventually just paid so we would get our things. I have tried to resolve this with Good Greek first, then my credit card company, and now I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau. BUYER BEWARE. The owner should be ashamed. It's quite funny that the message when you're on hold with the company is how the owner is a former police officer and he has immense integrity. I wish he actually meant this.Review fromLinda L

1 starGood Greek Story When I ordered moving services from Good Greek in August 2024. I discussed my concern to the CSR that I owned a very heavy ,marble top, weighingt 250lbs. cherry wood bedroom dresser that would require 3 men to move it. On August 12, moving day, a Penske rental truck and two young men show up. The driver was named Kevin, another man named Jawanda, and A.F. was the third.. I had already sealed, and stacked boxes for loading. I got a phone call from Terry Godsey in CSR @Good Greek, She was checking to see if the movers had shown up. I assured her that they did and were moving stuff into the truck. While using a knife to cut a box, the young man Jawanda, cut open the palm of his hand. Kevin, the driver, asked him if he wanted to go home or to the doctor. Jawanda declined and wrapped his hand up in moving tape. .When it came time to move the large, heavy, marble top dresser,I requested that the three men put it on a ?at dolly to move it. Kevin and Jawanda decide to move it, even when the helped hand was damaged. Upon reaching the destination,, the dresser was dropped and the marble top was shattered into numerous small pieces. The driver told me to ?le a claim online. I called GoodGreek and spoke with Melissa in CSR. She emailed me a form to ?ll out. When I returned it Good Greek offered $300. I called around to get quotes to ?x the dresser and was quoted $700+. I believe that the moving men BROKE SAFETY PROTOCAL, when one was allowed to continue lifting & moving items with only one hand at full strength & that the Supervisor Kevin did not force the issue for SAFETY on the job site. I will not take $300 for a dresser that cost me over $1,400 when safety protocols were not followed with only 1 1/2/ man power out of the 3 people lifted my dresser, when I knew it needed 3 men to do it and I paid for. 1 starOn October 28th Good Greek moved us from ******* to ***********. The truck arrived with half of our items missing. The driver called the warehouse in **. ***** and found more of our furniture still in the warehouse. Three days later, the 31st, another truck showed up and we still had items missing. A night stand, a coffee table, a buffet cabinet and boxes that we packed with more items than I can list. I have been in contact with Good Greek and all they can tell me is that what we are missing is not in the warehouse. No one knows where all of our furniture and boxes have gone. We've lost family photos, Christmas ornaments that were passed down over the years. I put a battery operated leaf blower, pole chain saw and a weed ****** in a tall box along with a table top gas grill. Also a 4 foot and a 2 foot level. The list just goes on and on. We were staying at a hotel and was told early in the week that the truck would be making the delivery on the 25th. The day before they called and changed the delivery to the following Monday. That meant three more nights at the hotel. Then the first truck shows up without our mattresses and bed frames. That meant another three nights at the hotel. The men that loaded the truck in ******* were very professional. The two crews that delivered to our house in *********** were not nearly as professional. Some boxes looked like they were thrown off the truck a few times. Pieces of furniture were broken or damaged. Trying to talk to the men unloading was nearly impossible because they spoke very little English. Good Greek doesn't know where our missing furniture and boxes have gone and they don't seem to care. I wouldn't recommend Good Greek to move someone across the street let alone out of state. I paid half of the amount when the truck was loaded. Before the first truck was unloaded they were calling me to inform me that the balance was applied to my credit card. I really don't understand how a company can get away with this.Review fromYovan L

1 starThis company is bunch of **. Comes out that owners was a Miami cop and knows how moving comp robbers people . It companies like yours who take advantage of customers using your past career to make any people to trust the company. I had Good Greek do a move for me and I moved to *** and just put all my things in a storage for almost two years . When I back to storage to get things I found my 1800 mattress tied it with moving tape to a column to keep up. It collapsed and folded over . I would never of known if I didnt move the dresser that they hid behind . Then I made complaint and send pics and they said its been over a year or what ever and we can only give you 60 cents per pound which came out to ****** I said whatever and now its 3 weeks and check hasnt came yet . I live 25 minutes from corporate office and it takes that long to get a check . I called today and ****** hasnt even had the respect to call me back . Company is just like all other moving companies! Scumbags and thieves ! Be careful with them and watch all your propertyReview fromHH T

1 starI do not write this post lightly but during the worst hurricane to hit ******* this century Good Greek Moving and Storage scammed us by failing to disclose and communicate actual cost. Last night on 10/8 they were supposed to move our first story furniture out of our house and to their storage unit due to potential flooding of our home. I explicitly asked the representative several times to review what the cost would be to verify our out of pocket expense. They gave us a written quote of $1100 to load and move our furniture to their storage facility and I pre-paid the amount quoted. After loading the moving truck (3.5hrs)with our furniture they said I owed a balance of almost $4000 to take the furniture to their storage facility. Ultimately to return the furniture when the hurricane passed it would have been a total cost in excess of $8000. Who would ever agree to such an exorbitant cost??? We refused to pay so they charged my credit card without our permission an additional $845 to unload the furniture back into our home. We helped the movers unload the truck for over 2 1/2 hours because it was almost 8:00PM and we needed to evacuate from south Tampa. We spent over $2000 for absolutely nothing just to have our furniture loaded and unloaded off a truck over a 6 1/2 hours. Mind you on the eve of the hurricane! Ive tried multiple times to reason with them but they have been completely unresponsive. I cannot stress this enough to NEVER EVER use Good Greek Moving & Storage. Im not one to bad mouth a business on social media but I want to ensure that no-one else gets scammed by Good Greek Moving & Storage! Protect your hard earned money and use a honest and reputable company that doesnt take advantage of a family during a catastrophic hurricane.Review fromTia H

5 starsWeve moved 17 times and Good Greek was, by far, the absolute best moving experience of our lives. The price they quoted was the price we paid and it was the cheapest of all our quotes. They were transparent from beginning to end with price, procedure, contract, etc. We cannot thank them enough or recommend them highly enough. They are a very large professional moving company but felt like a mom and pop company the way they kept in touch with us every step of the way during our out of state move. Thank you again and God Bless all of you angels at Good Greek.
