I ordered a transmission. I was quoted $1100 for delivery right to the shop of my choice in 7 to ten days. I was further informed that I would be kept abreast as to details of shipping to include a tracking number. It has been 17 days and not once after they received payment have they initiated any information regarding my order. Whenever I was able to contact (find) a representative, I received responses like, "I was off Friday. I'll look into it." "I'll call my mechanic guy who is removing the trans from the donor car and get back with you." "I'll call you by the end of the day, once I reach out to my guy." "Disregard previous message." He sent a text to me stating that he had a disgruntled buyer (me) and for them to hurry with the transmission. Both texts were sent at the same time. I have since canceled the order and requested a refund. As he did not even have the transmission in his possession when I ordered it, I would classify this process a scam. Wish I had read this prior to making contact with them.AM Used Auto Parts

1 starI just wanted to let everybody know that this company ***** I bought a motor from them and now there's a problem with it and since it took me more than 30 days to install it I've got to pay for the shipping to send it back to him that's after I have it diagnosed take pictures and they have to approve whether it's a legitimate claim. It's all total ******** I would recommend nobody by anything from this company at all. Once they get your money and the motor is shipped or the part they have a ****** attitude about trying to get you help. All they do is give you the runaround. They told me this motor was running they had it checked out before they shipped it. When I received it it was laying on its side broke and distributor oil filter and oil pump were screwed up I have put more money into this motor to get it running because I needed my vehicle I could have bought a brand new ******* motor. What ****** ** *** more than anything is they don't seem to really **** * **** So once again to anybody that's going to buy anything from them beware.Review fromL. K.

I bought a volkswagen passat engine from AMauto parts. For $3,500. When the mechanic replaced the engine, the computer immediately indicated an error. it says EPC. The engine had no power. Now, after 2 months, it is smoking heavily. AMauto does not want to enforce the warranty. We asked them by email for 2 months, and at the end they declared that there was no guarantee. A dirty company, don't buy from them!!!!!!!!!! They are only nice until the auto parts are sold, after that they don't care about anything. At least $4,000 in damages. because now I have to get the engine repaired, again. my own money.AM Used Auto Parts

Thank you for your feedback. However, I must clarify that your claim is not accurate. We have communicated with you both via phone and email. During our conversation, we requested that you provide diagnostic reports and installation receipts so that we could assist you in filing your claim. Your response indicated that you believed there was no need to provide any documentation or perform any work on the engine. We regret any difficulties you are experiencing with the engine purchased in April. When you are prepared to send us the requested documentation, we will be more than willing to offer our assistance. Thank you.L. K.

This is not true. In addition to diagnostics, you also asked for things that a customer is not obliged to do. When installing the engine, you expected the mechanic to take the engine apart and replace all kinds of seals... Well, I think that if I buy a completely flawless, well-functioning engine, then I expect our mechanic to no longer need it here. take it apart again! Moreover, under normal circumstances, the warranty is lost exactly when the motor is damaged by the customer. You expect the buyer to take the engine apart and fix it. No, it would have been your task to hand over a complete, well-functioning engine. There is no such thing anywhere in the world where we ask the customer separately to have the engine here, but to take it in and have it repaired, because only then is the engine guaranteed. No!!! The buyer does not have to disassemble the engine or touch it in any way. And you refuse the warranty precisely because I, the buyer, did not take the engine apart and fix all the faults. if I have to pick up the engine with an edge, then it's already bad. What is it that the warranty is only valid if the customer has inspected and replaced everything in it!!!??? Because that's exactly what you asked for. e.g. Oil • Oil Filter • Valve Cover Gasket • Oil Pan Gasket • Rear Main Seal • Front Seal • Intake & Exhaust Gaskets • Thermostat You basically change the oil filter and the oil. But not the rest, which involves disassembling the engine! A customer cannot be expected to disassemble the received engine! This is absurd. The warranty would be voided exactly if the customer disassembled the engine. In normal countries! So what you asked for is not right! By the way, the engine was already bad at the moment of installation!!!! You didn't even renovate it, you didn't repair it. only one used engine is being sold as is. you are disgusting.Review fromJames M

I bought a engine from these people they said had 42,000 mi when I received it it looked okay on the outside I pulled the valve covers off and the oil pan and the timing chain cover and I reviewed this engine had way more than 42,000 mi maybe 240 or better it had sand on top of the valves send in the timing chain cover was bronze color from being ran without oil little grooves in the cams I called them they told me they were going to take care of it I had to get a $490 cashiers check to mail to them to send it back I had to wait a week today received it then they told me where to bring it so I did that thinking I was going to get my money back they gave me part of my money back charge me a 25% restocking feed I did this within 30 days The water inlets were almost rusted off on the engine I put a letter inside the valve cover saying that this engine is no good and what they told me that it had 42,000 mi and my name and number well like a month later I'll get a call from somebody in Arkansas they ship this engine to them telling them that they just pulled it out of a truck and it had 72,000 mi now then they don't want to answer your calls when you make a complaint this place is a scam they don't want to refund me my money and the guy that received the engine in Arkansas they don't answer his calls no more I'm going to have to go to Florida and take them to court I really would like to see the owner go to jail for this He's doing this to a lot of people I see this place should be shut down at first they'll send you a text message with all the prices so I'll pick the one with the lowest mileage and boy did I get ripped off after buying gaskets for this piece of junk when you talk to them they tell you what you want to hear and they tell you have a blessed day they told me that the owner was going to reach out to me he never did I have pictures and videos of everything The engine I pulled out had 140,000 mi And looks like a new engine compare to the one they sent meAM Used Auto Parts

1 starI decided to give this review some time before letting AM USED AUTO PARTS know how I feel. This was a terrible experience. I purchased an engine for $2500 and it claimed to only have 54K miles on it. It took forever to receive the engine. When my mechanic received the engine, I paid him $2200 to replace the engine. The car was ready May 25 and I picked it up May 25. While driving on June 25, the car suddenly started driving rough. When I took it to the nearest mechanic, it showed that cylinder 6 is misfiring and I contacted my sales representative AM AJUTO, ****************** about the problem. I did not even get a message of apology from ******************. The next day, I was contacted by someone named ***** from warranty. My mechanic replaced all the sparkplugs, coils and wires to no avail. I sent ***** the information he requested on June 9. Today is June 20 and I still have not heard back from anyone. Before I purchased the engine, the responses were on point, but now, no one is responding to my messages. Besides the fact that I spent $4700 between the engine and the labor, I have lost money on extra parts, extra labor and at work. How would you feel if you spent $4700 and lost all of it in just 30 days? How is it that an engine with 54K miles goes bad in 30 days? Or is it really 54K miles? AM USED AUTO PARTS has been a disappointment and I will not be going down quietly.Review fromGeorge M

1 starI bought a replacement engine for my Dodge Magnum 2.7 a year ago and it started to develop a ticking from the left head. I contacted the company numerous times and spoke to two different representatives. I sent them a video of the issue and was told the mechanic will review it and get back to me. After getting no response from the company I have no choice but to file a complaint with the BBB. I am on disability and can't afford to purchase another vehicle so I thought putting money into my car and maybe get at least a few more years out of it. Boy was I wrong! To date I've invested around 6k into a car worth half that and now I couldn't get rid of it unless I part it out Buyers beware of this company and spend your hard earned money elsewhere!Review fromGregory W

1 starALERT. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I purchased a used engine for a BMW 330i. The delivery was delayed and when I inquired a was told that the motor was been tested. When the engine finally arrived, it had no compression. I was told to video the compression test and submit it with the receipt for the installation and they would send a replacement. After doing so , the rep requested more and more things until the service center refuses to do anything thing else. So now I'm stuck with a bad used engine, with the AM extended warranty.Review fromDiego V
