I have been trying to get these 2 claims resolved since May 2024 with very little help from this insurance billing ************************** has contacted them several times explaining the breakdown of the claims to ******* and ****** ($17.29 is paid to the patient on each claim). I accidentally paid the first claim but did not pay the second claim and keep getting invoices threatening a collection ageny. Per my insurance company the patient is paid the $17.29. So, they actually owe me $17.29 from first claim. I received the first phone call from a ****** at the insurance billing ***** back on Nov. 26th he said he would help me get these resolved and that I can email him direct. Finally help. He stopped responding after a few emails. On 2/17/25 I emailed their customer service (cservice@***********************, no response. I have spent hours on calls, 3-way calls and emails trying to get this resolved. No one calls you back or responds to emails, but I continue to receive final notices in mail.Customer Answer

I went to Advanded Dermatology, located at ***********************************************************************************************************, now for about 5 months. On December 17th of 2024 I went in to have non cancerous skin lesion removed. I went to the office on the 17th of October and discussed these lesions with Dr. ***** ***. A price was agreed upon to have up to 15 lesions removed for $150. No other charges were mentioned for this procedure. Both of us agreed that this is a charge that WILL NOT be put to my insurance company because we both knew this will not be covered by my insurance to begin with. On January 3rd I received a bill from Advanced Dermatology in the amount of $59.57. I called numerous times to talk to the office manager, but no call. I then printed the bill and went to the office. Within 2 minutes I was attacked by 5 front desk employees about me speaking at a higher level than necessary. I made sure they understood I want this fixed. One of the employees threatened me right away with "ok dont pay it, it will go to collections". I again asked to speak to the office manager and was told the person is not available. I asked to have the person call me when possible. That was last Friday the 3rd. It is now the 7th still no call from anybody. I also hurt my shoulder pretty bad at their office because the door was broken I ran in to it not knowing and dislocated my shoulder. I also want to mention that a procedure I had done on the 17th of October gave me a scar. I might still seek legal council. When I mentioned it on December 17th that was just shrugged of. I attached the bill. Please note that the business sent a bill to my insurance company even though it was agreed that they wouldnt. The amount billed was $716 which the insurance declined. After some innovative bookkeeping and adjustment it showed me owing $59.57. I do not agree since this was all discused beforehand. I added reviews from other patients and it seems to be the way they do business. Obviously I will never go there again.Customer Answer

I have been a loyal customer of this shady ********************** business for over 4 years.I had an appointment, but due to a medical emergency in the family I had to cancel. I call Advanced Dermatology and spent over 20 minutes on the phone going through endless phone prompts, then a phone ringing forever, finally giving a message that I had to reschedule. Without even a single phone call from Advanced Dermatology to aske me when I would like to reschedule, they just send me a bill from Dr ***** for $50 for services they never performed. What a deployable way to treat their customers...Initial Complaint

I was notified that I was over billed by Western Wyoming Dermatology (affiliate of Advanced Dermatology) by my insurance company, Cigna on 8/6/2024. ***** said that I would "need to contact the billing department to request a refund" and "unfortunately the insurance is not able to do that for you according to their (Advanced Dermatology's) guidelines". I contacted ***** about this and they told me I was owed about $52 (I don't remember the exact change amount). I called Advanced Dermatology 4 times and left 4 voicemails about this. I requested call backs, but a call back consisted of an automated voice recording telling the patient to call the billing ***** back at a certain number, to which was the same line I had previously called leaving voicemails and requesting call backs. I went into the WY office on 8/9/2024 to have this resolved. Their desk person, ****, assured me it was taken care of and I should see the refund reflected in 10 business days (8/23). I have not seen the refund so I returned to the office today 8/23/24 to inquire. The office lady, ******** laughed and rolled her eyes about trying to get a refund as if I shouldn't expect much out of the billing **** as they are incredibly hard to get a hold of and work VERY slowly. These are refunds for services on 1/26/24 & 6/3/25.Initial Complaint

I googled skin tag removal and this company popped up (Advanced Dermatology). I was informed over the phone, which is all recorded that a removal of a skin tag is $10 a pop or I can do it through my insurance which might be more expensive and a deductible so I responded, I will pay in cash then because I only have two or three skin tags. We set up a particular location with a time I go in there and remove one skin tag and on my way out the door I was charged $188! I spoke to the office manager. Her name was ****** for **************** at the **************** location. I was told by her she was unsure why they told me that information over the phone and I still needed to pay the total $188. I explained that is not at all in any way shape or form the conversation I had on the phone with the representative. She told me there was nothing I can do. She said it was billed correctly and I need to pay it. My frustration falls under the representative on the phone call that was recorded , the exact price and etc. How does the office not have any notes of my phone call and requests for the skin tag removal. I dont want anything for free. I would just like my bill to be changed to the agreed-upon price per the phone call with the representative which would be $10 per skin tag . The Office manager said the price for a skin tag removal is actually $100 which I am completely baffled by. All I want is for the bill to be adjusted to affair and correct price. I wouldve never went into the dermatologist to spend $188 for one skin tag removal. Thank you for your time if you read this fully. My visit was with ***** ********* at the ******************, ** location.Initial Complaint

I was seen by ***************** in *********, Md on 7/8/22. Due to a coordination of benefits issue, I requested (several times) that my insurance be rebilled for proper processing. This was not done at the proper time. After more than a year with no communication , I was billed by Advanced Dermatology. It was too late to resubmit insurance. Despite numerous requests to the billing department to put me in touch with a supervisor, and multiple promises, I was unable to speak with a supervisor. I have paid the bill for $291 to avoid threatened collection. The billing department is incompetent and unscrupulous. Crooks!Initial Complaint

Had biopsy over a month ago. Read patient portal report which had numerous mistakes including type of anesthesia given which was incorrect. Report sent to surgeon who wanted to give me that medication. When I called to get report fixed, person who administered meds lied to me and changed her story several times. Report was partially amended by PA. Still not corrected. Have been trying to reach local and corporate offices but no one calls back. Office manager at local ***************** has failed to send paperwork of biopsy or return calls. Billing sent a bill via email which I had trouble with. It's not the amount that's the issue, it's failure to provide a proper and correct report, failure to be contacted with. Will be having surgery next week with another practice and need corrections my ade and sent .Initial Complaint

I visited the ******************** on April 30, 2024 in ******* on ************ to get the injection of skyrizzi. I prefer to have the office do the injection instead of doing it myself. After the injection I was advised that the charge was $7. I gave the front desk a $20 bill. I received a receipt that indiciated that I paid $20 but did not show the change due or amount due. I still have the receipt. Instead of receiving $13 change I was told that the practice didn't have ***** cash to pay the change. I thought I would receive a check or money order in the mail. After a few weeks past and no check I called the office manager to complain. She said it should not have been handled that way and said that she will ensure that the practice mails me a check for the difference. As of June 14, 2024, I have received no check or money order from the practice. It appears this practice cannot pay its bill in even a nominal amount of $13 that is owed to me. I am going to find another dermatologist.Initial Complaint

Advanced dermatology 5/17/24 **************** manager I made a payment via check on 3/29/24 to the Atlanta address. The office indicated you never received it. I paid again. You cashed the check. You also took my second payment. The office told me you would not take two payments. This is dishonest. I want a refund within 5 business days of my $25. I want the refund back to my debit card. Thank you!***********************
