1 star0 stars, all they do is take money and use excuses as to why you can't get your medical bills covered! They will NOT approve a hysterectomy claiming its pre existing because of notation of heavy bleeding. Hello?! They found 2 masses inside of me that has nothing to do with bleeding. It has to do with there is are growths that my ******* needs to be removed! A total waste of money I actually thought we were being kingdom minded and helping. However when I need the help I get none.... TOTAL SCAM DONATE TO YOUR CHURCH AND GET REAL INSURANCE! You are not even allowed to speak to anyone regarding their decisions. WHEN PEOPLE ADVERTISE THEY ARE CHRISTIANS and its for a better purpose watch out .. TOTAL INSURANCE SCAM AND THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES AND BE SHUT DOWN!Review fromJeff K

Thief's!!! I was with Medi-Share for a year when I had lost me job and could no longer afford to pay my monthly share amount. I would try calling the special number (extension) to cancel memberships. I called repeatedly for months to cancel my membership and get my share balance back, a little over $1,200. I would spend hours on hold...occasionally I would get an option to leave my phone number for a call back, but they never called back. I was never able to speak to anybody. When I emailed Customer support, they replied quickly saying they were glad to help...told me to call the number I'd been calling to cancel my membership. Still no answer, just wait on hold for hours. This has been going on for 4 months and I've watched my share balance dwindle down to nearly $0. Basically, they stole $1,200 from me.Christian Care Ministry, Inc.

Hello ****************. We are sorry for the difficulty you encountered in withdrawing from Medi-Share. Your withdrawal date was backdated to January 01, 2024. The share balance you refer to may be the account balance that each Medi-Share member has in an ** (or Liquid Paper) account. When a household joins Medi-Share, that household opens an ** account with a financial institution which serves as the repository for the monthly shares that each household submits. Medi-Share moves or withdraws funds from each household's ** account to bless other members by providing for their eligible medical bills once their Annual Household Portion (similar to a deductible) has been met. Per agreement, when a household leaves Medi-Share, funds remaining in the ** account will continue to provide for eligible members' medical bills, the ** account funds are not refunded to the household that has left Medi-Share. Similarly, should you have an eligible bill submitted after having left Medi-Share, funds from other members' ** accounts would be used to share in the bill if the date of service is eligible based on your membership and your Annual Household Portion has been met. Once the funds in the retired household's ** account are exhausted then the account is closed. Please let Medi-Share know of any questions or comments. Thank you very much.Review fromTrevor A

1 starRip off and total scam. I paid for over a year and when I tried to finally use it to find a doctor, I realized no one on their approved list even heard of them and I could not get anyone at MEDI-SHARE on the phone to discuss options to find a provider.I emailed them asking to have someone please help me or else I would have no choice but to cancel. They emailed back a cancellation. A year of totally wasted money for nothing. Funny how easy it is to get someone on the phone if you want to buy it, though!Review fromLynn C

This is a complete nightmare if you use providers outside of the Medi-Share Network. I was told it was OK before signing up but, believe me, it's not. Have spent over 12+ hours on the phone trying to rectify my medical bills.Christian Care Ministry, Inc.

Hello ********* Thank you for your comments and we apologize for any difficulty you may have encountered as a Medi-Share member. As Medi-Share is not insurance but a health care sharing ministry, members get the most from sharing by using in-network providers whenever possible since these providers have agreed to discount their fees to Medi-Share members. Using in-network providers streamlines the billing process as well. Members can locate in-network providers by going to medishare.com/programs/find-a-provider, or call the provider number on their Medi-Share ID card.
Members can utilize out-of-network providers but by doing so certain additional amounts will be ineligible for sharing and will be the member's responsibility. If using an out-of-network provider, we ask that members confirm prior to their visit that the provider will give standardized medical billing forms (a UB04 form or a CMS **** form) for Medi-Share to process. Hardly covers anything, can't find a decent dr or dentist that accepts it. Have to explain over and over again what it is and how to bill it. Doesn't cover my prescriptions, preventative care of any sort is expensive. It's a joke. Please find something else.Christian Care Ministry, Inc.

Medi-Share's preferred provider organization (PPO) in your area is ******************* System (PHCS). ******s can search for providers by going to the Healthcare Blue Book (HCBB) by clicking on "Find a Provider" in the ************* of the Medi-Share website or at the bottom of the page on **************************************. If you need assistance in locating in-network providers, please contact ****** Services, or if a provider has questions on how Medi-Share works, please have the provider contact ****** Services as well. Prescription medications, including maintenance medications and allergy injections, may be eligible for sharing for six months per each new condition (not per medication) from the date of diagnosis that is not pre-existing. Exceptions may be made in the case of medications for cancer and transplant recipients. Regarding your inquiry about dental services, as per Section VI, J, of Medi-Share's member-voted guidelines, routine dental care is not eligible for sharing. Although dental services are not eligible for sharing, Medi-Share members do have access to generous discounts for dental, hearing, vision and Lasik through an organization called **********. This is affordable insurance especially for those who are self employed and generally healthy. We rarely go to the doctor so $1500 a month for "just in case" was a lot of money that we were wasting. After doing the math, even in a worse case scenario, for our family this made the most sense. Yes, you have to cover everything out of pocket up to your max share, but if you are saving $1000 a month in normal insurance premiums, it works out in the long run.Christian Care Ministry, Inc.

I have been a member of Medishare since 2015. This organization is made up of caring people who personify honesty, integrity, compassion and I’m blessed to be a part of the Medishare family. The cost is reasonable and their website is easy to navigate. Whenever I need to speak with someone they are helpful and I’m grateful to have someone offer to pray for me and with me.

Medi-Share has been nothing short of amazing to have the past 2 years! I ended up switching to Medi-Share since I had an emergency appendectomy in 2021 and I "thought" I had good insurance. Wrong! I kept getting all kinds of bills, and a good chunk of them were out of network even though the hospital was in network. I knew after that fiasco that I needed to find something better, especially when I found out my premium was increasing by 20% the following year. I switched to Medi-Share, which was a third of the cost of my traditional insurance, beginning in 2022 thinking I wouldn't have any more health issues (I was a healthy 28 year old guy), but I started having health problems in 2022. I had many tests done, and Medi-Share covered all the costs over my AHP (Annual Household Portion), and I ended up having my gallbladder removed in January 2023, which Medi-Share also covered all the costs over my AHP as well. Anyways, after having a nightmare of an experience with traditional insurance with billing for my emergency appendectomy, then dealing with Medi-Share for the billing after having my gallbladder removed, it was a night and day difference. I STRONGLY recommend Medi-Share! I love everything they stand for as well. They are the real deal!Christian Care Ministry, Inc.

I've had Medi-Share for 3 years now. We switched to Medi-Share as my wife and I both became self employed. Medi-Share as been the best health coverage we've had. They have a lot of providers, and it's a very affordable option. My daughter had Brain Surgery earlier this year, and Medi-Share was beyond great for the benefits provided.
If I could give them 10 stars I would. I have no idea how anyone could complain about this organization. You just have to make sure your provider accepts Medi-Share. Do you have to pay out of pocket for some things, yes, but I've found it to be very affordable as they have negotiated rates with providers. I will be a client of Medi-Share for the rest of my life. I'm beyond grateful to this company for all the support provided to me during my daughters recent surgery.Christian Care Ministry, Inc.
