Just DontTrust Me. By far the worst extended warranty out there and they are extremely rude and will find loopholes and excuses to deny any claim. If you have these people I would suggest a full refund or lawyer up.

In the beginning Phoenix show that it was a great company. I had a bunch of minor mechanical things need to be done with a 2013 *** optima little did I know at the time of purchasing this vehicle there was a bunch of recalls on the car every time something happened to the minor things there was more than happy to fix the problem, then I found out that there was a engine recall on my vehicle as well. On the way to work my engine seized up come to find out it jumped timing which led it to be an inside a shop getting fixed. I was asked permission to do a tear down to my engine. Then they advise the warranty company Phoenix that thats what was gonna happen. I was advised that if they did not take care of the coverage I will have to be. I will have to cover it out of my own pocket a month and one week later I receive my car back with a denial for my claim for my engine to be fixed. They said it was a lack of maintenance done to the car. I had just done a oil change in April car went down in July. They said I didnt have any oil in the car at all , so everything was in done I was the denied my repairs to my vehicle recently I have to re-read and paperwork which will say that I did not have proper maintenance done to the car and I reread that paper only to find out that they have received the necessary paperwork. They need to show that proper maintenance was done to the car, and the manager of Phoenix still denied my request for my engine to be fixed or replace, all I want is my engine and a refund for the $900 that I had to pay to get it fixed Im asking for another $800 for the two months that I miss paying my car note because of them denying my request and making me have to pay out-of-pocket to get my car fixed

I bought a used car from a sale dealer that added on this warranty with my loan. About 8 months later, I had to get my transmission rebuilt. I had moved and couldn't find my contract. I called the dealer and was told I had opted out of the warranty. So I got my transmission rebuilt out of pocket at a licensed garage ** I can't finance another vehicle and I live in the country where a vehicle is a must. After finding my contract I submitted all ***************** information to be considered for reimbursement due to not knowing I had the warranty. They wouldn't even let me get a word in and just kept saying it's denied. A managed won't tell you any different. There is no manage for you to speak to. The fact I couldn't say anything and they refused to let me speak to anyone else was complete crap! COMPLETELY RUDE AND A WASTE OF MONEY I DONT HAVE!

****** is sorry to hear about ****************************** frustrations.  The contract does clearly state that prior authorization is required before having the vehicle repaired.  As ************************** states, the vehicle was repaired without prior authorization, therefore the claim was properly denied.

This company totally stinks. I have a ***** Accord that the timing chain pulley failed breaking the timing belt thus causing damage to the motor. The mechanic determined after investigating that the engine needed rebuilt. The warranty company wanted the engine tore down and more tests ran. They would not cover this. It was 844 to do that which I didn't have so the dealership covered it. After this was done and determined that what they said is what needed fixed. They submitted it to this company who now wants it tore down even more and again they won't cover that.

Refuses to honor their contract that I have with them on a vehicle I bought used. They had knowledge that the vehicle was bought with aftermarket tires and wheels, and when it came time to fix the vehicle, they said that it was void because the tires and wheels.

****** understands and regrets Mr. ********* frustrations and the confusion on the coverage for the vehicle.  The vehicle was equipped with oversized tires, which makes it ineligible for coverage.  ****** unfortunately was not made aware of this until the claim was called into ******.

Purchased a car and not even two months later it broke down. After getting a diagnostic I needed another engine because of a head gasket coolant leak. The repair shop sent over the invoice for repairs and Wynns told them that they needed to fix the car before they would pay them. The auto shop told me that Wynns would be covering everything. Upon replacing the engine they noticed the radiator hose was damaged so they replaced it also. After completing the repairs I was notified that WYNNS did not cover the total cost for repairs and left almost $1000 balance to pay out of pocket. I called WYNNS and asked what they did not cover and the lady said, she didnt know. All she could say was how much they paid. The total was $4305.25. Wynns only paid $3445. Leaving a $860 balance. I began going over the invoice for the work that they had done and they told me that they dont pay for radiator hoses, taxes or supplies to fix the vehicle and that they should have used a tax exempt form because they dont pay taxes. The auto shop told me that they constantly giving them problems the entire time they were working on the car and theyre only looking out for themselves. Now I have to come up with almost $1000 out of pocket to get this car back along with paying a $400 car note thats about to due when all I was supposed to have to pay was a $100 deductible! Wynns is the worst company I have EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. I didnt even have a choice if I wanted them or not they just included it in the loan when I purchased the car. I was given a bad car that broke down in me in two months and a warranty company thats complete TRASH! PLEASE DO NOT GET A WARRANTY THROUGH THIS COMPANY.

This "company" doesn't deserve any stars first off. They do nothing but play games. I bought a car March 2nd 2023 made the mistake of accepting wynns gap on it and now (4/23/23) my car needs a new engine. Something that should've been figured out by the dealership before being sold to me of course however I have to go through wynns to get the new engine. I got it towed to a location the dealership provided and that auto body shop has been calling for a week, made a claim, obtained a claim number and was informed that wynns needs to send out an adjuster. I've been waiting for the adjuster to come out so I can be approved for my rental car until my vehicle is fixed. They haven't sent out anyone and when I called in they told me no claim has been made, the vehicle wasn't diagnosed and that they haven't even spoken to the shop which I know for a fact is a lie. The shop has been the only one helping me through all this. Wynns lies out of their a** and refuses to help their customers. They also have the absolute worst customer service reps who sit and lie saying "there are no managers or supervisors" in the company. ????? DO NOT GET WYNNS WARRANTY!!!!!!! please save yourself from the h*** they will bring down upon you and REFUSE any wynns/Phoenix American warranties. They do not help, they do not care, they shouldn't even be allowed to continue business.

This company gave me the run around about my care I’ve paid for multiple diagnostics within the past year and still no assistance in getting my car repaired I don’t know why the dealership even recommended a extended warranty if it can’t be used

This company I do not recommend. Rv slide out not closing all the way took to repair center metal shavings found around gear box along with bad rack assembly. Repair center notifies warranty American Phoenix , they sent out a third party inspector who told repair center it needs repair However American Phoenix declined claim. The warranty states all repairs to slide out room. What a crock Only reason I have this is it was part of the dealership package I now ordered a full slide replacement through repair center through repair center and the cost of my wallet 100% At least I will have a brand new slide out and under warranty from *******

Phoenix American regrets ***************************** frustrations with his claim.  Phoenix American inspected the Vehicle and no failure to the Vehicle's slideout was demonstrated to the inspector, therefore Phoenix American could not assist in replacing a part that was not failed.

My car overheated and we haven't even had it a year. I immediately took it to a garage when this happened and contacted the warranty company. The warranty company said I had to pay for a tear down ($810) before they would even send someone out to look at it. I did that even thought money was tight. After that, the garage said they couldn't find the exact reason for the overheating but many times they don't know exactly what causes this but obviously it is something wrong with the car. Now it needs a new engine and the warranty company has denied the claim. I called the warranty company and asked for the denial in writing which they refused to give me saying they weren't required to. They wouldn't even send me an email. What a joke! This car was hardly driven and my son took meticulous care of it. He was one who drove it and was in the hospital half the summer. My husband and I had to get a loan to pay the bill which we can't afford with all the medical bills piling up. I wish I had NEVER bought this warranty. I feel like I've done business with a shady character and lost. I wish I had read the other reviews here before I did business with this company. My only hope is that I can save someone from making the same mistake I did. Money down the toilet. What a terrible, frustrating, and disheartening experience.

During diagnosis and inspection the engine was found to have overheated, but no cause of that failure was determined by the repair facility.  Unfortunately, overheat damage is specifically excluded under the Contract so the claim was denied. We regret any frustrations ************** may have experienced.
