Flamingo Appliance have been trying to repair my parent's washing machine since July 15 under Whirlpool Certificate no.: ********* . After several previous appointments and attempts at repairing the washer, the guy left again today and said his diagnostic testing shows it's repaired. They tried to wash a small load and it's still not working. Flamingo Appliance have replaced every part but the outer shell unit and still cannot get it to work. My parents are in their 80's and 90's and don't drive and would have to uber it to a laundry facility. I thought having a warranty would save them the headache but not with this company that ******** uses. It's causing them so much stress and at a time when people shouldn't even be in and out of their home so much at their age and in this health climate. They obviously cannot repair it and won't replace it. A contract is for a meeting of the minds. We have paid for a service that is not being fulfilled.

      Hello *****************,

I am sorry to hear your washer is not in working order.  I see the technician did complete service on 09/01 and stated the unit is working as designed.  We have received another dispatch from *** and it states the washer is operating but making a noise.  Is this correct?  Our goal is to repair the unit in one day however that is pending part availability.  It seems several parts were needed to complete the repairs that have been performed.  Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the distributors and manufacturers regarding part availability.

I have added notes for the technician servicing the unit on Friday, 09/09 to contact Whirlpools engineering department to advise what repairs have been done and confirm there are no additional repairs needed. If you do desire for the unit to be replaced, Whirlpool does require the consumer to make this request directly to them.  They will not accept us to make this type of requests, they will only ask us for the history of repairs and it is Whirlpools discretion on how to proceed.

We completely understand the frustration and understand the inconvenience of not having an essential appliance for your parents.  We value all of our customers needs and it is never our intention to cause any type of inconveniences.  Please feel free to contact us or reply to this complaint if you have any further questions.

      Thank you in advance

I am rejecting this response because: the technician did say his "diagnostic testing" said it was repaired. However, he did not actually operate the machine to see if it was working nor allow it to be operated to for good working order prior to his leaving. The machine is not working. The loud noise its making makes it inoperable in our 55 and over condominium pursuant to our HOA. We will be fined for that type of loud disturbance. Again, it was not repaired and left in operable condition.

      Sincerely,

      Good Morning *****************,

The technician is scheduled to assess the unit tomorrow, 09/09.  You will be receiving an automated call and email today between 5-6pm confirming the 3 hour window on when to expect the technician to arrive.  I have added a note to the technician that he must contact Whirlpool's engineering department to assure all of his repairs are documented and there is no further troubleshooting needed per the engineers recommendations.  Typically if a diagnosis check was cleared then the unit should be working; however, I do understand your stance regarding the technician to also run a cycle before leaving the home.  I have also added a note for the technician to do so before leaving the home even if diagnosis check is cleared.  I see the technician has ordered a gearcase for tomorrows service and he will have this part with him.  We hope this is the part that would be needed to correct the noise and functionality issue you are having with the appliance.  If it does not, he will contact the engineers to document his findings.  In regards to replacement, Whirlpool does not allow us to offer this to the consumer. If you do feel a replacement unit is needed, Whirlpool does require the consumer to contact Whirlpool directly.  We are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

      Thank you in advance

I reached out to Whirlpool/KitchenAid about a broken dishwasher on Mar 31, 2022. Product was purchased Oct 2021 and was still under the manufacturer warranty Whirlpool sent out a technician from Flamingo Appliances 3 weeks after who misdiagnosed the dishwasher repair as an issue with a leak. Flamingo Appliances order a new pump replacement which arrived and was installed about 1 month later. When the tech arrived on the scheduled date he forgot the parts. The second attempt to show up his truck broke down and he never communicated to us there were any delays. A week or so later the tech showed up and installed the pump. Technician said dishwasher was fixed and we were all set. Dishwasher was not fixed so we called Whirlpool/Kitchenaid again. Technician was sent out again who claimed it was an electrical issue now and he was originally told we complained about a leak. There was never a leak. We then hired an electrician who came out checked the electrical and found no major issues. Replaced the cable which was suggested by Flamingo Appliances and the dishwasher still did not start. We again called Whirlpool/Kitchenaid who sent the same technician out AGAIN. Flamingo did not show up for the SECOND time. They are diagnosing random issues and not addressing the dishwasher issue. The company is unprofessional and cannot be contacted or called. Even Whirlpool/Kitchenaid tried to reach out via phone with no response. We want the dishwasher repairs.
