      Massey was negligent in managing care of my lawn and failed to respond in a timely manner, causing further damage to the yard. They are refusing to correct the problem by replacing the sod. Numerous attempts to get them to cooperate are detailed in the attached document. Today, ***** came to my house and indicated that I need to continue to pay for bi-monthly services, even though she previously agreed to correct the problem at no cost to me. Considering the damage caused and their refusal to fix it, I would like a refund of the money that I have paid to them so that I can replace the sod myself.

      Upon receiving your letter, I met with *** and Mrs. ******* to discuss their concerns about the lawn. I acknowledged that the yard was showing signs of recovery but still required additional care. They expressed frustration with the lack of timely response to their previous concerns, particularly the damage to the lawn and the sedge intrusion. To address these issues, we will install additional trays of plugs to improve sparse areas, apply a supplemental fertility treatment for further growth, and implement targeted sedge control measures. A follow-up visit has been scheduled in three weeks to monitor progress and ensure their satisfaction. We are committed to resolving the concerns raised and ensuring the lawn meets their expectations.

      I hired Massey Services and was told I was paying for a 3 month service for $125. I was told if I needed them to come back they would. I was never told this would be a reoccurring charge every 3 months. And that was not what I wanted or would have asked for. I have lived in my home for 23 years and only used pest control when needed. They last time being over 15 years ago. I even told them I have kids and a dog and do not like using pest control. The tech came out one time in 3 months. I have zero idea what was even done. I was then charged again. I called and was told I had been signed up for a reoccurring charge. This was done without my knowledge. Even though they say I signed a contract. That was not what I was told. I simply called and said I would like that last $125 back as it was not what I wanted or asked for. I was told I will not get my money back but they will cancel the service. When I now look them up I see so many complaints that it is troubling. I told them that for the last $125 they will not refund me, I will add to the list of negative reviews they have. This is not how business should be done and I do not appreciate the manner in how this started or ended. I highly recommend people read reviews and stay away. Also ironically and Im sure purposely they do not have any ****** reviews. I am willing to assume based on their other reviews this was probably done on purpose.

Although he signed a contract for our quarterly pest service, Mr. ********* thought it was for a one-time service.  Our General Manager spoke with him and explained what he had signed up for.

They claim that a H3134333**53436313137H tech swept for spiders webs and treated the property. A H3134333**53436313137H tech did not make himself known to be on the property of *******************************************. H323033333**835333939H claims that the tech rang our bell which is false, three adults work from this location and the tech made no attempt to enter the rear of our house, specifically our lenai area which remains locked. I have made numerous attempts to cancel our H3134333**53436313137H and have this bill dismissed but H323033333**835333939H refuses to do so.

I apologized for the communication breakdown and ensured him there would be no charge for the last service posted complete on his account. In addition, I informed Mr. ******* that I would provide a no charge service either now or in the future as a gesture of good faith and to demonstrate his value to us as a customer. Mr. ******* thanked me for the follow-up and offer and let me know he would consider the offer but at this time he did not wish to proceed. I emailed my contact information to ********** so he could communicate with me directly in the future if he wished to do so.

      Contract 6/17/2024, Massey Lawn Care ****************************. Treat weeds in lawn. I have complained a few times and the General Mgr. came out to look at lawn. Each time she had an excuse why weeds still there. I don't see much of a change since they began.I want service stopped and refund the balance on my account.Their phone ************, e-mail *********************************

      We have been a Massey lawn (weed control) customer for about 3 years. We have never received a call prior to performing service. Technicians show up, spray some product and leave a bill, skipping both side yards and the back ******* April of 2024 we called to pay our bill and cancel service. In July someone showed up, sprayed the front yard and left a bill. My well meaning wife paid it. In September they supposedly came again. In October I received an email about a bill for service performed. I called their headquarters number to dispute and they confirmed I had canceled service in April but a local manager would call. The next morning, ****** from the ******************* called and told my wife to pay the bill and a manager would call to discuss our concerns. No call. On 10/29 a paper bill was delivered and no services were rendered (as evidenced by my surveillance cameras) but today 11/4 we received a bill in the mail for service in September and October.I called the local office to inquire and was told a manager would call back. I informed ****** that not only had we canceled, didn't want service, didn't feel we owed the bill - I invited her to send someone to the property to inspect, how mylawn is absolutely full of many types of weeds And clearly no effective service has been rendered. She said that a manager would call and she ended the call.

      I see that the bbb file says there has been no communication with Massey to the BBB. Massey's ** reached out to me right after I filed. The agreed to remove old billing, provide two treatments at no cost to judge results of the treatments being applied personally by the **. Massey has followed through with the plan and communication as they promised. I am satisfied with the resolution and grateful for the assistance of the BBB

      I signed and PAID in full a contract for this Company to provide pest services for 1 year. It was ALMOST $500 and they NOT 1 TIME called ahead to Schedule Appt after being asked MULTIPLE times due to my WORK schedule & NOW a TERMINAL ILLNESS. They FAILED to control my pests, especially the Ants in Yard & THAT ended up with MULTIPLE complaints & 1 service person LYING about treating my yard 1 day when he WOKE me up knocking on my door and when I got up he was leaving with NO YARD treatment & sent me an Invoice via E-Mail later stating he did. The "manager" came out & saw the ants & treated the yard & "apologized" only 2 send that Tech who LIED to me, again NO CALL AHEAD. He shows up & so AGGRESSIVELY yells at me to cancel my Service, IGNORANT that I PAID in FULL. I had to shut my door 2 get him to shut up. I then asked for a refund OVER a MONTH ago & have been given the Run araound since, they finally agreed to send what they did not honor and AGAIN, NO REFUND. They are RIPPING ME OFF & NOW I want a FULL REFUND at this point. I am SICK of these big Companies RIPPING Consumers off & getting away with it. Your help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

      Yes, I finally received my refund for the Balance of the contract but I am so unhappy with how they treated me, gave me the runaraound as long as they could that I would actually like a full refund at this time for all the hassle they put me through. I would appreciate an answer from them on this updated matter.

      I want this to be filed as a complaint regards the Company and their business practices and treatment of a consumer. There are too many large companies taking huge sums of money for products or services that are failing to meet the promises they make. They even target the elderly and disabled and this is reprehensible. Our VOICES are all that we have in an increasingly UNDEMOCRATIC America. This is a very sad shame but I DO thank the BBB for the work they do and the assistance they prove and most importantly, the VOICE they give the People.

      I canceled my subscription with Massey in February 2024, and I have been waiting for them to send me a check with a refund, which is close to $300, for 8 months. They still have not refunded me the money they owe me. I was calling every month, and since I lost my job last month, I have been calling weekly and still haven't received it. Can you please help me get my money back?

      We have been Massey customers for 26 years. Our grass started dying, causing large brown patches of dead grass. We called several call backs, and with continued service, the areas got larger. Each invoice stated treated yard for insects and disease w added fertilizer to patchy areas throughout. Provided insect control materials to enhance/maintain color and growth to prevent lawn damaging insects from becoming a problem. We kept addressing problem w call backs, and it continued to get worse. We were never told this is chinchbugs, and we can not fix it, and you are not covered although they had continued to let it get larger over months. . **** **** came out 9/9/24 and said ***** would treat next day and retreat in 16 days and then reviewed again. We had to call for retreat. **** and ***** came out 10/28/24 and now say we have to pay to have this resolved. Had this been diagnosed when these brown patches of dead grass started appearing it could have been addressed at that point and not grown to the massive areas that we have now and not gotten to this point of distress. They kept coming out and treating it as it kept getting continually worse. We trusted their knowledge and expertise as this is not our business. This was caused by Massey not properly diagnosing and conveying correct information to customer or reaching out to superiors if needed. Telling us our yard was being treated for insects and disease as brown areas of dead grass kept getting larger and we kept paying. We have trusted Massey with our yard for 26 years and feel if this should have been handled sooner rather than later to avoid where we are now.       I am filing a complaint against Massey Services for failing to fulfill their service commitments and uphold their "Money Back Guarantee." My most recent transactions with Massey include charges for Irrigation Maintenance ($70 on 10/4/2024), Lawncare Application ($86 on 10/15/2024), and Pest Prevention - Quarterly ($100 on 10/17/2024).Massey Services committed to providing effective lawn care, pest prevention, and irrigation maintenance to improve and protect the health of my lawn. Their website states a "Money Back Guarantee," promising a refund of the last service payment if issues persist after 30 days of corrective services. However, despite these treatments, my lawn is in worse condition, with widespread ******** and thinning.When I requested a refund due to the lack of improvement, I was passed from the Service Manager (******* Pavelcock) to an unnamed General Manager, and finally to the Regional Manager (**** Capplo). None of these representatives have contacted me back, despite my repeated calls over the last month. Masseys lack of response and the worsening state of my lawn indicate that they have not made meaningful efforts to resolve the issue.I am seeking a refund for my most recent lawn care service and assurance that Massey will address their communication deficiencies. I have all necessary documentation, including photos and service records, to support my case.

      I am rejecting this response because it does not match what was discussed over the phone. The business's response only addresses two out of the three services I requested to cancel and receive a refund for. Specifically, there is still a $100 charge for "Pest Prevention - Quarterly," which I was assured over the phone would be refunded. Therefore, the total refund I was expecting is $256, not $156.

      Additionally, I have already spoken to the Pest Service Manager, but I have yet to receive the promised refund or any confirmation that my services with Massey have been canceled. I have attached the invoice with the relevant charge circled for clarity.

      This company did not cancel my service when I called to cancel (prior to the end of the service comitment). Then they continued to bill me for services afterwards. I spoke with numerous people who stated they would take care of it but I continue to get phone calls about an outstanding balance months after I canceled. I spoke the the general manager today regarding a poor review on ****** and he stated again that he would "take care of it." I requested an email confirmation with a zero balance due but they never sent an email.

      The general manager of our local office contacted Mr. ***** on October 25, 2024.  He apologized for not processing the cancel request in a timely manner, thus inadvertently resulting in another service and invoice.  He also promised to cancel the account and remove the amount due.  Confirmation was sent to Mr. ***** and he accepted our response.

      Mr. Leards account has been closed and the balance removed.  This should satisfy the customers desired outcome as noted on the ******************** complaint. No further action is needed.
