On Nov 23, 2021 I purchased an RV warranty #******** for 36 months and paid $3,000. On March 29, 2023 the RV was sold and I notified the company and filled out the Service Contract Cancellation Form and forwarded it to them. After approx. 5 weeks and a few phone calls, I finally got a refund check on the policy. The check was for $935.35. In the contract (included copy re cancellation) it said that if the policy cancelled there was a $50 admin fee . The company decided they would take $100. Then to my amazement also deducted the approx. $900 that was paid in a claim. (Its mentioned in the fineprint)....However..... How are they able to take back their claim money when they accepted the premium which covered that loss ??? I asked who the government agency was who licensed them and ....crickets. I was told to contact their administrator re the money issues which I did. They wanted to know why EagleVision would have me contact them when all they do is handle the claims settlements. They provided another number at EagleVision which I called and left two messages....no return calls received. There is a definite legal issue here in that they accepted earned premium and paid the loss and then turn around and want their claim money back out of the unearned premium. I am speculating this is something they have gotten away with for years as no one has challenged them on it. I should have received $1530.00 which amount was minus the $50 admin fee.

We will refund the $50 overage to the customer. That is our only mistake based on this complaint.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

How does a company all of sudden charge double their admin fee from $50 to $100 by “mistake”? The $50 admin fee was in their “contract”.  I am quite sure this has been going on for awhile and customers have not noticed. They do not provide a breakdown in the amount you are getting back so it is hidden. If you have read the complaints filed with BBB you will notice a pattern of  conduct by this company. Let’s not forget that a small percentage of complaints get reported. How this company gets the score provided by BBB is questionable and I believe the scoring technique needs to be revamped. When a dishonest pattern of activity continues , this demonstrates how they operate. Just because they state in their contract they deduct claims paid from any refund does not make this activity legal. They accepted a premium to cover claims , paid the claim and then want the money back when you request a refund of the unused premium. I don’t know in what State in the U.S. this type of business practice would be legal and it needs to be challenged. At this point I immediately want the over-charged $ 50 fee refunded by the company.

      Regards,

I'm sorry you have had a bad experience with us. We have had a few admins and the rules differ with all of them. We try our utmost to give people good value, but sometimes it doesn't work out that way. Thank you for pointing out that mistake. We are trying to get better everyday in every way. We have droped admins and picked up new and better ones. Please except my appoligy for the mistake. I hope you have recieved your $50 back. Please let us know if you have not. Good luck, God bless, and Happy Camping.

Hello.....I filed a complaint several months ago  # ********. Eagle Vision was to pay me the remaining $50. There has been no check received. When I went on your site, I do not find my filed complaint against this company. Why has it been removed? They said they were sending me the overcharged refund and it was not received. How does this company have this high score with BBB when in review of the complaints it is always the same thing with their refunds? This is not a truthful picture of this company and customers will be misled.  Thank you

I purchased an aftermarket extended warranty product from Eagle Vision RV on 7/1/21 in the amount of $4418. This for a 2007 class A Winnebago. We purchased the “COMPLETE “package with a $100 deductible. The best they offered.
Fast forward to June 2002 when we woke the coach from the ******* winter we noted the hydraulic leveling jacks were all leaking off and not holding pressure. A covered item in the policy. It should have been red flag when we tried a half dozen shops before we found one who’d take the job. The quote was worked up and was going through the process until Eagle vision realized that parts price was per unit (X4). Then the denied coverage citing we were living in RV full time! It’s important to know at this time that that we’ve had the coach over at the repair shop all summer trying to get satisfaction and we’ve had to bring the RV home to winterize it. Summer is over in ******. The delays and excuses are never ending.
Eagle Vision has what I’ll call a sub contractor called Head-start warranty group. This is entity that I’ve been in talks with since I filed the claim, but never heard of before filing the claim. I didn’t sign a contract with **** *****. As of late they’ve offered up some hero level plan of some outfit in the ******* who’ll do the work. **** ***** has said they’ll pay about half if we pay for shipping them round trip. Every hydraulic shop in ****** and every RV thread on the internet that talks about this job says that these units are designed to be throwaway. Not designed to be repacked. We’ve never been rude to any of these folks yet they no longer will speak with us. Eagle’s newest office manager states that they’re no longer doing business with **** ***** but if they were to submit it my claim to whoever they have handling them now, it would be viewed as a pre existing condition and denied. It sure seems that the tail is waging the dog at Eagle Vision. We’d settle for just getting back the price paid for the service agreement.

The administrator denied this because of issues with reporting from the repair facility. Eagle Vision RV has absolutely nothing to do with this.

May 24, 2022, I purchased Premium RV Protection in the amount of $1546.00 while living in *******. I notified this company on 2/18/2023 at 6:33am that I sold the RV and wanted to cancel the warranty and get a refund. I received an email back on 2/20/2023 at 8:02am that they would get back to me. I have not heard back so I sent another email on 2/24/2023 at 6:18am and again on 2/28/2023 at 4:42pm and again on 3/4/2023 at 7:04am and I still have not gotten any response to my warranty refund. At this time, I am hoping to get some assistance in this matter.

On 12/6/22 I cancelled my extended service contract with Eagle Vision RV, LLC. Unbeknownst to me the wrong contract number was on the cancellation form (I should have verified that it was correct before signing but I did not think to do that and had completely forgotten that I had a previous contract for a shorter term that was cancelled prior to the longer one).

On 1/30/23 I contacted Eagle Vision where the mistake was finally discovered. On 1/31/22 office personnel requested a bill is sale and proof I had sold the rig which I provided to them. On 2/2/23 the bill of sale was sent to AAC and the case was closed out. On 2/6/23 the check was mailed to Eagle Vision. On 2/22/23 after numerous phone calls, texts and emails I contacted AAC myself in regards to the check being possibly lost. **** ****** the check and deposited 7848.06 into Eagle Vision’s account. On 2/23/23 I was contacted by ******** of Eagle Vision who advised me the check should be at my address (my friend checks the mail as I am a full time RV’er) that day or on the 24th via FedEx.

On 2/24/23 I still had not received a check. I was sent a snapshot of a submitted payment showing 7234.00 with a rush delivery for 2/24. My friend verified yet again that nothing had been delivered for me. On 2/26/23 I still had not received a check but received an email stating that it may be coming from UPS. On 2/27/23 my friend verified that nothing had been delivered in my name.

On 2/28/23 I contacted ***** ***** via email again, advised him the check still had not been delivered. He advised me that everyone else got their checks (how that happened without any way to track it is a mystery) and that maybe my friend was not looking in the right place. He further advised he never stated the check would be overnighted to me and that the process takes 6 to 8 weeks. He offered to cancel the current check and send it to another address. I will advise if this happens and hope the matter is resolved soon.

Hi, I cancelled my RV insurance on Sept 13, 2022 retroactive to June 25, 2022. The reason is because we bought a new RV so no longer had the covered RV. We are able to get a refund for the unused portion of our insurance that would be $424.85. To date, I still have not received the check. I've called several times. I am working with ******** at ************ who is very nice and I appreciate having one person to help me, however, she never gets back to me and I've followed up with her several times. I would like to receive my refund as its months past the time I was told I would receive it and I've tried contacting you many times before filing a complaint. Contract number: ****************.

On 4/20/2020 I purchased a protection plan for my Lance M2375 travel trailer for $2500. In June of 2022 I sold that trailer and bought a newer one. I docusigned a cancelation on 7/20/2022 and that was forwarded to Open Road which they promptly refunded $1395.12 by check #653518 dated 8/9/2022. I have contacted Eagle Vision RV twice about the refund to no avail. I feel that if they have been sitting on my money for this long in months I'm due the refund plus interest. This is surely not a good business model and not good customer relations. I hope whoever reads this will take heed and choose wisely.
