My wife and I attended this workshop from April 4-6. We were under the impression that we would get first hand knowledge on investing in this industry. For the amount that we paid, we were left disappointed. Upon signing up for the 3 day workshop, the presenter at the 90 minute presentation shouldve prefaced that we would still need to spend 40k for all access membership. During the 3 day boot camp, we just talked about 1 or 2 example scenarios. They mainly wanted us to discuss why we should sign up for a 40k membership. All the presenters shared their stories and boosted about their lifestyles and how it will be if we signed up today. It started off with one set price, and then they started lowering the payments to as low as 7k but only for an online program/membership. Each strategist was very persistent in us signing up, even suggested to take out of our 401k, multiple credit cards, personal/business loans, etc. They also emphasized how we are not guaranteed any amount of money after we sign up. They are essentially telling us to pay a ridiculous amount of money but essentially no guarantee that we are making all of this back. So crazy! I feel scammed out of money for the price I paid for the 3 day workshop!Business Response

April 4,5,6, 2024, I attended a three day bootcamp where I expected to get valuable information about investing for the $1,497 I paid to attend. From day one, the presenter *********************, and the rest of his team tried to connect with the room by telling them personal stories, continuing to ask everyone their "why" as to attending. ***** showed numerous family vacation pix to entice the audience to buy their mentorship program in the amount of 40k, said he uses his credit cards to get points to fly first class and be able to stay in a suite at the hotel they were presenting. There was absolutely nothing of value or what was told would be given in this three day "bootcamp". I received a book with the slides ***** was showing and a lanyard for $1,497. We were all assigned a strategist, more of a salesman, to tell me about the mentorship program and the cost. The second day they held a thirty minute presentation on purchasing the 40K mentorship program. The third day my assigned strategist talked to me again about the mentorship program said they could break the program down, one did not have to purchase the entire 40k program. Of course there were different prices for the different sections of the mentorship program. The mentorship program is all online video library, essentially you doing all the work, this program and people offer no value for the money requested. I was told I could do the first two sections on the mentorship program for almost 7k, I would have to pay part now and then the rest within 2-4 weeks and told I could even use multiple credit cards to pay. Multifamily is a scam and a joke. Approximately 10 people signed up for the program.Business Response

I am submitting this complaint about this organization because my dissatisfaction extends beyond merely the quality of education received; it encompasses grievances regarding the lack of transparency, unethical sales tactics, discriminatory practices, and illegal conduct perpetrated by The Multifamily Mindset. This organization collaborates with various sponsors and entities to promote and benefit from multiple business ventures that hurt its students. My partner and I were presented with only one tuition option, resulting in nearly $40,000 in expenses without alternative choices being offered. Our experience is not unique, as other enrollees were similarly misled during the enrollment process. There are testimonials from fellow students, particularly minority women, who were subject to deception. Sponsors endorsed by this institution are involved in activities that contravene SEC guidelines, which is known by The Multifamily Mindset. I have reached out to them to and they have stopped communicating with me.Customer Answer

Not only am I filing complaints to seek reimbursement from these fraudulent programs, but I am also submitting complaints and reviews to various organizations like this one to warn the public about The Multifamily Mindset. They not only failed to deliver on their promises but also employed and continue to use predatory sales tactics. They deceive customers about prices during enrollment and offer preferential pricing to certain groups of people. They collaborate with multiple entities to promote and profit from various business ventures at the expense of their students. Furthermore, they endorse sponsors who deceive, manipulate, and exploit students while violating SEC guidelines. Their investment properties have been advertised in ways that contradict SEC regulations, and there is evidence of them lying to investors in recorded webinars. It saddens me to see new individuals, especially young adults fresh out of high school, enrolling in such a fraudulent program. I am writing this in the hope of alerting not only individuals but also the appropriate regulatory bodies. Not only are the owners of the Multifamily Mindset deceiving students but also investors, warranting investigation from multiple perspectives.Business Response

We have reviewed ************************ concerns. Here are our findings/assessments. We do want to come to a reasonable agreement with her but she has declined the offer we sent.
- ******************** feels she shouldve been given different options in terms of the packages that were available.
- MFM Response: We try to make it as clear as possible from the front of the room that multiple options are available. That being said, not all attendees are in the room for the entirety of the event, so it is very possible that ******************** was out during the specific time we address it. Additionally, when students ask if there are other options, our strategists are trained to share every option available and even have a printout to show the differences.
- ******************** expresses concern of discriminatory sales or refund practices.
- MFM Response: Our strategists follow the same protocol for all students, regardless of race, gender, religion, or other protected class.
- ******************** alleges sponsors endorsed by this institution are involved in activities that contravene SEC guidelines.
- MFM: While we connect you to sponsors and other business partners in the multifamily space, we do not regulate or monitor how other sponsors conduct business as they are separate business entities. We do have an SEC attorney on retainer that helps us ensure we are in compliance and train our students to have the same type of legal counsel.
In closing, were not sure what else we can offer here. ******************** has successfully closed on an apartment using the mentorship training we provided and in an effort to go above and beyond for her, we also provided services and resources long after her term of service expired. We also went as far as to go against protocol and offered her a partial refund. Regardless, she has denied every attempt at a peaceful departure and continues instead with what seems like malice. Thank you, BBB, for your assistance in helping us come to a reasonable agreement with ******************** and hope our inability to do so does not affect our good standing with you.

Muti Family Mindset (MFM) program used misleading practices to inflate the ability to make money as a general partner on multifamily syndication deals. After a few months being in the program we realized several discrepancies in their teachings. If we had known the truth, we would not have taken a chance and signed up for their program. Below are some key points in what was misleading 1) Their training showed examples of general partner syndication teams with 5 or 6 people on the team. In reality, it can be far more than that. 2) Their training showed examples of general partner syndication teams making 15-20% of an acquisition fee. In reality, teams are larger, which makes the % of the acquisition fee much lower.3) Their training showed examples of general partner syndication teams having an Asset Manager. However, most Sponsors of a syndication will use their own Asset Manager. 4) Some of the students were allowed to sign up for a significantly lower price than $20,000. 5) Students were told they could get their education expenses paid back to them by writing it into the Underwriting. This is false. 6) The program is using the students as a way to raise capital by telling them repeatedly to not wait and to find a deal to join, then they talk about their own deals and the *********** 7) The gaps in their education leave students at risk for raising capital for syndications which are regulated by the SEC. We are writing to express our disappointment in The Multifamily Mindset coaching program since we joined in September of 2022. We requested a receipt for one $6,000 dollar payment, however upon receipt of the complete invoice, we noticed that we overpaid by $1,000, which our strategist failed to mention to us. We requested a refund of the $1000 dollar overpayment from ******************************* in ***************** She said she would ask her manager and keep us posted, however she never followed up with us, therefore; we never received our refund.Initial Complaint

The writer attended a $1000, 3-day seminar on multifamily property investment in *********. During the event, coaches pressured attendees to purchase plans costing $5,000, $7,000, $20,000, and $35,000, with aggressive sales tactics. The coaches were not transparent about the available plans until the last day, creating a sense of urgency. The writer, lacking funds, resisted buying a plan but was convinced by Coach C to take out a loan using multiple credit cards. After payment, promises of support vanished, and a promised "Fast Track Event" turned out to be disappointing. The writer attempted to cancel the purchase beforehand but was persuaded not to by the coaches, who later provided minimal support. Feeling exploited, the writer seeks a refund, citing aggressive sales tactics, false promises, and unethical behavior by the coaches. Full complaint provided in pdf below.Business Response

The promises that initially filled me with hope and anticipation have proven to be empty words. I have been navigating these challenges since April 2022, when I was assured that by investing all my savings into The Multifamily Mindset program, I would swiftly recover the funds through successful apartment syndication deals. However, the reality has been starkly different, with inexperienced coaches and outdated videos leaving me feeling lost and disillusioned. Aggressive Sales Tactics and Financial Exploitation: As the complexity of the program became apparent, the pressure to invest in the company's deals added a new layer of financial strain. This suggested investment seemed more about benefiting the company than helping me navigate the challenges. Upon voicing my concerns, the company initially acknowledged my frustration and offered a partial refund of $19,000. However, further investigation revealed a significant overcharge compared to what others paid for the same program. The CEO's dismissive response, citing a "mindset problem," left me feeling unheard and helpless. Given the partial refund and the magnitude of breaches of contract, unethical practices, and financial exploitation, I am formally requesting a remaining refund of $25,991. This includes the $19,000 partial refund, the $5,000 for the unfulfilled Engager.AI branding service, and the remaining $1,991 paid for services that fell far short of the promised standards. I have attached a PDF copy of the contract, clearly indicating a charge of $20,000. This document serves as a tangible representation of the agreed-upon terms, reinforcing the validity of my request. While legal action may be unavoidable, I sincerely hope for an ethical and amicable resolution. My desire is to see these issues addressed in a manner that reflects principles of justice and accountability. I am grateful for any assistance you can provide in resolving these deeply concerning issues.Business Response

I went to a meeting in a hotel in Houston, the class was from The Multifamily Mindset Company where I paid $1K and signed up for 3 days class on a later date, on how to buy Multifamilies using other people's money. A TOTAL SCAM. In the class, the presenter or host Tyler D******* told us that if we really want to be a couch and close our first deal in the next 3 months, we should sign up for a coaching program that costs $35,000.00. They have couches that convinced you to sign up for the program, in my case I had J.J. he convinced my wife and me that we should sign up because they will guide us like a parent to his child, to our first DEAL within the next 3 months. I paid 25K. The guidelines, never happened, they have regular group coaching calls, I NEVER GOT TO CLOSE ANY DEAL, and they even stop the access to the regular video classes. I later learned that the cost is not really 35K, the cost could be anything from 5K and up, other people in the class received access to the same program for 5k, 10k, 15k, etc, it is just a matter of them negotiating with the student, they will try to get as much money as possible, if they can't, then they will you access to their classes for as little as 5K and may be for less, in our case, at the beginning nobody signed up but at the end of classes almost everyone signed up for the training. Out of about 200 students, I know of only one who got to buy his first deal, a year later (please notice that is not only him, it has to be a group a team not only one person). Also, the coaching is not person-to-person, you'll just receive general Zoom meetings or video classes that you can access for FREE on *******. Please don't fall for it. I would like to request the 25K back as they NEVER helped me to close ANY DEAL. ThanksBusiness Response

We have been able to reach out to this client and have resolved the issue. **** was able to state his concerns to me clearly regarding his experience in out education. He stated he love the people in the company and knows we are trying to put forth the best education we can, but we had some holes back in 2021 when he paid for the courses. We have extended out his education to make sure he can continue to learn past his 12 months contract. This has helped him feel comfortable with the resolution and he feel great about the call we just had. **** is a great person and has a pure heart of wanting to succeed. We are dedicated to making sure that happens.
