This is the email that I just sent to Rotech Please help they are trying to rip people off!!!
I am once again writing to you after sending a previous email that you charged my master card $$55.66 when regardless of what you say I do not have to meet a medicare deductible before my primary Federal*********** insurance pays whatever Medicare does not pay. I already sent you an EOB from*********** showing what Medicare paid and then the remaining cost that*********** paid and I owed nothing for claim dated 6/3/2022. I am again attaching the EOB to reflect that. Then you sent me another bill for $28.61 which I am waiting on the*********** EOB for. You need to submit to both medicare and*********** they cover me in full THERE IS NO DEDUCTIBLE TO BE MET!!! If that was true then every other medical thing we do would bill us but we never get a bill because I am FULLY COVERED. I spent an hour holding yesterday on the phone with a*********** Representative then Rotech finally came on the line and*********** Rep explained this and once again faxed and EOB showing this. Although you submitted two claims to Medicare Iit looks like you submitted the claim for service date 6/3/2022 to*********** and got paid what Medicare did not cover but you never submitted the claim for 5/25/22 to*********** I am calling Medicare tomorrow to report that your company is trying to extort money from patients and also writing to the Better Business Bureau and Florida Consumer Services to report these issue. Rotech billing operation is horrible. Please correct my account reimburse my money and send me an updated bill that all is paid for. I will not be sending any more money and am keeping all documentation and will obtain an attorney to sue for stress, attorney fees etc if this problem is not corrected. It is not the money it is the principle!!!!!!

      Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/08/05) */
      Hello
We apologize for the delay in response. Upon further billing review, the billing department was able to get the patient's secondary insurance billing. The patient's secondary insurance will cover most of the primary's deductible, what ever they do not cover is adjusted off on their end. Moving forward the patient's account will hold at that complete coverage. We have gone ahead and refunded the $55.66 that was taken from Mr. ****'s bank card. An email was sent out this morning to inform Mr. ****. Any balance has been removed from the account and the balance is now $0.

      Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/08/08) */

Global Account ID******** Rotech began supplying o2 equipment for my wife on 09/15/2020. No billing or insurance issues for 1st year of service. Insurance pays 100% of contracted benefits. Rotech stopped submitting claims to insurance (BCBS) on 09/15/2021, I have contacted them on a monthly basis or more practically begging them to submit charges. Their only response was to turn account over for collection and threaten recovery of equipment. They lied to me on a "Notice to Recover Equipment" stating that Insurance provider denied coverage. That is simply not true! I contacted my insurance and they had not received any of said claims. After repeated attempts, I was finally able to get Rotech to submit the 3 months of claims and within 2 weeks of submitting, insurance paid at 100% of contracted benefits. The problem now was 5 more months (now 7 months) of claims have added up and Rotech has not been submitting these claims! Even though I have been reminding and asking them with each contact to not let the claims get out of hand like before. on 06/21/2022, I received another Notice of Recover, again lying about insurance not covering charges. Again, not true! Insurance has not received any claims since 11/15/2021 other than the 3 mention earlier. On 06/24/2022 I spoke with Loida at Rotech. She assured me that the last 6 months worth of claims would be submitted to BCBS. As of today no claims have been submitted to my insurance. I received 2 statements from Rotech dated 07/07/2022 and 07/09/2022, with incorrectly calculated amounts "allowed" "Insurance Resp" "Patient Resp" etc. These calculated values do not reflect the actual values used by my insurance company. I have verified my Insurance information with Rotech probably a dozen times. If they are somehow misdirecting these claims, that should be their problem and not mine. I have offered to file the claims myself if they would send me Itemized Charges, but they have always said they would get things right.

      Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/08/03) */
      Hello
We apologize for the delay in response but wanted to confirm that Billing has reviewed the account in full. Claims are currently billing correctly, resulting in payments through the most recent date of service in July. Billing confirmed that the account balance is $0 and the patient can disregard any letter that was received.

      Consumer Response /* (2000, 8, 2022/08/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Hopefully, future billing of my account will, be processed correctly. Of course I'll never get the 1200 plus minutes of my life back, that I spent doing Rotech's job. I realize that Insurance can be complicated, but many other businesses seem to be able to process claims correctly. Perhaps an overhaul of your current billing practices may be in order. Again check your online reviews.
