As of July 2023 consumer consultant group has been charging me $200 a month to exit me out of my timeshare. They have not responded tomy emails. I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau and they are now out of business. They have been out of business for over a year now Just finding this out today. May 13, 2025. I have been emailing consumer consultant group and they have not been getting back to me. I tried calling the phone and they were disconnected.Initial Complaint

I hired consumer consulting group back in October 2020 to remove my timeshare from my Person / Timeshare ************* I spoke to Mr. **** ******** himself a.k.a. the CEO of the company and he promised to help get my timeshare taken care of and squared away, he said that if he did not complete his service within 14 months that all my money would be refunded back to me. it was $3600 for the service and they use the company equity ***************** to handle these payments. I currently owe $1100 left and it is on my credit report so I cant not make a payment but now I am just making payments for a service that was never done and that never received. as time as passed the phone numbers for the company are now not working, no one will respond to my emails and on ******. It says their address is changed and that the business is currently closed whenever I call Equity sales finance.They give me a phone number, but it goes straight to voicemail and they say to leave a voicemail and that someone from consumer consulting group get back to me, but I think they know that the business is out of business. I am currently at a loss of $3600 in total and I have no one to contact about this. According to the Internet, the CEO **** ******** is now residing in ***** and has multiple complaints lawsuits and cases against him for this very thing.Initial Complaint

I am submitting this complaint regarding my experience with Consumer Consulting Group, located at ***************************************On November 8, 2022, I was contacted by *** Jay ******* from this company, who claimed they could assist me in exiting my timeshare contract with **************** Vacations. I was assigned a client number ***********) and told that the service would cost $2,100. However, I later received a bill totaling $2,600, payable in monthly installments.I began making payments in December 2022 and continued through April 2023, totaling over $1,200. During this time, I received no updates or communication from the company regarding progress on my case. After repeated attempts to reach them via email and request a cancellation and refund, I received no response.Copies of my emails, dated April 20, April 24, and April 27, 2023, clearly communicated my intent to cancel the service and request a refund. Despite this, Consumer Consulting Group did not acknowledge my request, nor did they provide any assistance. Instead, they forwarded my account to a collections agency to pursue the remainder of the payment.This company failed to deliver the service it promised and then attempted to collect payment for work that was never performed. As a result, my credit score dropped from over 800 to just above 700, due to their negative reporting. I consider this behavior deceptive and unacceptable.I respectfully request the following resolution:A full refund of the payments I made (over $1,200).Immediate withdrawal of the collection and removal of any negative reports made to credit bureaus.Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter.Sincerely,**** ** MD **Initial Complaint

In 2023 i paid Consumer Consultants ****** dollars to get me out of a timeshare. I only heard from them a few times. They advised that they were working on my case and that I didn't need to call them. They put my on a portal so I could check my credit score, that only worked for a few months. So, I called them in the spring of 2024 and was told that my case will be solved in the summer of that year. I never heard from them again. I checked their web site and it is down. They had a ******** page I tried to get on it and found that it is down ******* this point I don't know what to do, they charged me ****** dollars to get me out of a ****** dollar debt to a time share which they never did.Initial Complaint

My name is ******* ******. I have been calling Consumer Consulting to get follow up on my status with them , and it has Not been successful. I have not received any updates on the timeshare cancellation process in Months. I have sent an email last year, and still have not received a response. I have also called Consumer Consulting multiple times and email them. Furthermore, I went to the location, and contacted **************************** for assistance. I spoke to *** on March 6, 2025, and I called and spoke to *** again on March 20, 2025. The process has been very overwhelming! I have been making my payments on time, but still no assistance or feedback. Can someone Please contact me or email me back to get further information about terminating this contact with Consumer Consulting. I am NO longer interested or find it beneficial to continue. The LACK of communication does not make me feel comfortable. It feels like I am paying a company thats not helping with me with the process of getting out of my timeshare which is putting me in more debt.Initial Complaint

I reached out to consumer consulting group 11/16/2023 to help with canceling out of 2 ******** contract. They assured me that they specialize in canceling contract with ******* and they have a 18month money back guarantee. But it would cost 11k to cancel both contracts and that my creadit wont get effect cause it was protected under the fair creadit act while its being disputed. And that i dont have to pay the timeshare anymore..So I financed it tru ucfs. And they got started..sent them copies to alot of legal paper sush as drivers license ss#,address,copies to deed,power of attorney. They told me not to answer the call from the timeshare that they are sending Cease and desist letter so they don't call. I was told to send/foward all email,letter, to **************** Every month went by and my credit was still getting affect and the case worker just tells you it's part of the process and that they are sending another Rounds of dispute against those negative impact on ur credit. This going on for a year they every month and then it was every 2month and then 11/6/24 was the last time I wrote them because the haven't called in over two months and I haven't received and update...they replied with say there working on the case and And they sent another round of disputes. And we should hear reply within 30 to 45 days. Gave it 2month and now the number is disconnected and and the emails accounts been deleted...and I'm left paying the rest of the loan ....I want my money back the ceo should be in jail because I'm not the only he has took advantage of...there should be a class action lawsuitInitial Complaint

In July of 2023, we engaged in a contract with the Consumer Consulting Group to exit our Westgate Timeshare.We paid them $9,000 for them to help us exit our Timeshare.We were told that it would take 3 to 6 months to get us our exit and they guaranteed it.We were advised to not pay any HOA fees, taxes, etc. Now we owe over $3,000 to *********We were told we could not use the resort at all while they were working on our exit.We followed up with them many times asking for an updates.Our last correspondence with them was December 2024.They advised it would take 14 months, so we would follow up every couple of months.I tried to email and call and none of the #'s worked.I checked the BBB and they are not accredited with them.They were supposed to be accredited with the NCPEC.Low and behold I was unable to contact anyone and they have gone out of ************ can we file a class action lawsuit to get a refund because they did not provide what they *************!!Initial Complaint

In March 2023 representatives of Consumer Consulting Group, LLC hosted an information dinner claiming that they could help timeshare owners terminate their contracts. We engaged with them and were asked to pay off the outstanding timeshare mortgage we owed ($19,525 at that time). Funds were transferred to Consumer Protect ACH. We were assured that our timeshare contract would be terminated within a year. After more than 18 months, including emails and phone calls which assured us that they were actively working on our behalf, we had yet to see any results. We were even asked to enroll in a program that afforded us VIP service and communication. Soon after this, we actually then heard nothing from the company. I then wrote directly to **** ******** as well as the *** via emails requesting a refund of our $19,525. We have continued to pay our monthly timeshare mortgage & annual maintenance fee to keep our credit rating in good standing. It was then that we learned that the Consumer Consulting Group, LLC appears to no longer be in business.
