The date of the transaction is March 24, 2023. We paid them $2, ******, and the put an ad on their website to sell our timeshare. They said if it wasn't sold by 10 months they would offer a complimentary week at one of their resorts and continue to advertise the property at its expense for the life of the owner's deed. I was contacted one time after that and then never heard another word. My dispute is they are only scammers preying on people, and making lots of money. This company did not try to do anything! They just took our money!!Customer Answer

I appreciate your help with this, but I really didn't expect to get my money back. I was very stupid to do what I did, and they have probably changed their name and are taking more money from unsuspecting people.Business Response

In March 2024, we paid Resort Cancellation Services (RCS) $3,698 to sell or rent our Florida timeshare. We did our research, checked their reviews, and believed that the BBB certificate shown was realit was not. At the time, we only owed $1,000+ in maintenance fees. Now, ten months later, we are still stuck with the timeshare, facing mounting fees, broken promises, and no resolution. What Did RCS Promise?1. Help us get rid of this timeshare FAILED! We were misledRCS could not rent or sell this timeshare, and we remain responsible for maintenance fees, which we were encouraged not to pay pending a sale or rental income.2. We expressed an interest in selling for $10,000 to $25,000 FAILED! Instead, they increased to the sale amount to $41,698 and stated in an agreement I signed this would happen in 10 months or they would provide a free vacation and continue marketing the property. 3. Fair rental or sale price FAILED! We were promised a negotiable sale price of $41,698, but ten months later, we received an offer of just $4,000a staggering $37,698 short of what they originally quoted us, which was barely enough to cover their fees.4. Worse yet, when I checked the online document in January 2025 - against the one I signed and printed in January 2024, I noticed that they had changed several amounts--without a call or email to let me know my contract was *********** March 2025, we discovered that we are not eligible for any type of refund, nor was a weeks vacation at a comparable resort offered, either. Dont use this group and don't believe the reviews they posted on their website either!Initial Complaint

I purchased a contract for *** to resale my timeshare Worldmark in *********, **. For the price of $24,500 with 10K point annually 2bd. and 2bath per the **** they shouldn't have any trouble reselling the property. Months later I reduced the price to $19K no action, than to $!5K no action & finally to $13K still no action. I feel this whole process was a scam from the start. The sell **** was constantly calling me and showing me videos to persuade me to purchase their product. I am asking for a refundBusiness Response

On January 10, ********************************************************************* question was charged $1430.00 (3 notifications on this amount) followed by one text alert that the same card was also charged $4500.00 We did not authorize any charges with the "merchant" and disputed all charges immediately. The $1430.00 charges were denied by the credit card company however the $4500.00 amount was processed. Upon dispute, the "merchant" claimed to have authorization from the cardholder based on having an email address, home telephone number (which are both public information) and further claim they have a signature. This is fraudulent as the "business" is located in ******* ******* and the cardholder, an 83 yo woman, resides in *********** and therefor would be unable to provide a signature. For anyone to claim they have a signature is an outright lie. The cardholder has not received ANY service or merchandise from the "merchant" and should NOT be held responsible for these fraudulent charges. Furthermore, we have no account, order or tracking number as we have received no written or email correspondence regarding this alleged transaction.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I have not received any email communication from this business so I could not, and did not, provide an electronic signature authorizing any charges. The incessant, bordering on harassment, phone calls that I receive from *** and similar businesses are inappropriate and misleading. Oftentimes the callers misrepresent their affiliation identifying themselves as Hyatt employees. This can become very confusing to individuals who happen to be former Hyatt time share owners so perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my answer that I did not require the "services" they were looking to sell me. My late husband and I did own (past tense) timeshare property with Hyatt for a number of years, however all ownership was transferred to the current owner on 4/7/22. I have no weeks available to rent or sell, so I did not require, did not solicit nor did I authorize the charges. I submit that the electronically signed document is a complete fabrication. After searching through all email boxes, I cannot locate one message received from *** so I am unclear as to what I allegedly responded to that authorized their services. Perhaps if the business and it's employees did the appropriate research to verify actual ownership of timeshare weeks, they would not have made this mistake.
Sincerely,
****** ******Business Response

I paid ******* to Resort Cancelation Services to see my property and after 11 months no sell no communication and I am requesting my money back. This company is a scam. No results and standings cannot talk to anyone other than customer service who follows a script. What a joke. I need someone other than customer service to call me back that can authorize my money to be returned to me. If not I will file a lawsuit. For anyone thinking this is a good idea I would ask for references.Business Response

I purchased a tour on ******. Within 2 minutes after paying, I realized the date I reserved was incorrect. I reached out to ****** immediately for help. They told me that because I booked within 24 hours from the tour their policy was that it was non refundable. This does not seem right to have atleast a 15 minute grace ******* I am now out close to $200 for a data entry error that I tried to fix immediately.Business Response

The contract was created in October, 2023. It has been a year and I have received no offers. This agreement cost me over $7,000 and I have been contacted only a handful of times. Each time was either to reduce the price(Which I did.) or to speak of a upcoming show. None of which benefitted me. The biggest disappointment and complaint is length of the time between contacts and the lack of communication. When I have called they are reassuring that it will sell, but they couldn't even rent it for one week! I guess this issue starts from the top. My familys stress, time, and effort should account for something here. I hold this company accountable for its lack of professionalism, and I just want my money back. They have no problems charging and asking for payments in a timely manner. The job should have been completed in a timely manner. I want to hear from someone in charge who can get this done without any further delay. Thank you.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: Resort Cancellation Services hasn't offered anything, but showing a copy of the agreement itself. I didn't receive one single offer. I reduced the price every time I was asked. They couldn't even rent a week. This was a pitiful attempt to sell my timeshare and very little contact with me after they received the money.

On November 15, 2023 I received a call from this company offering to sell my time share. Although I was reluctant I fell hook line and sinker for their lies. I paid over $4000 for them to ****et my property. Months went by and I heard NOTHING so I called and was told theyve gotten interest but no offers. I continued to wait. At the 6 month **** I called asking about a possible refund since I heard nothing and was told they would continue to ****et my property at no additional cost. In August of 2024 I received an email suggesting that I adjust the sale price since my property has generated interest but no offers. I agreed to reduce the selling price by $10,000. I have heard NOTHING since. I will be waiting until the 1 year **** to contact them again requesting a refund though Im not confident that I will receive it, but feel that this company and all the others like it should be exposed for fraud and taking advantage of innocent people.Business Response
