I took a six hour on line driving safety course for the purpose of lowering my auto insurance on July 9, 2022. At the end of the course, after paying $24.95, I was informed that the course successfully completed. Three weeks later I did not receive the certificate that is required by my insurance carrier. In our about August 1st I contacted American Safety Council and, after waiting about an hour on hold, was informed that the certificate was mailed and lost in the mail. I was assured that a new one would immediately be sent. Today I waited 57 minutes on hold and chatted with Rhoda while I was waiting. Rhoda would not give me her last name. Rhoda informed me that the certificate was mailed out two days ago. She informed me that the course was completed on July 9th, but that their computers failed to complete the course on their end. This means that the first person lied to me about having sent the certificate. I don't know if Rhoda is telling the truth. I do know that having a customer wait for an hour to get a human on the phone and then lying to them is totally unacceptable.American Safety Council, Inc.

First, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delay in response. I understand this can be very frustrating when you cannot contact a representative via live chat, phone or email in a timely manner. Unfortunately at this time we are experiencing unusually high contact volume so our response time has been affected. We are taking actions to respond as quickly as possible, and thank you for your patience and understanding.
Secondly, I'm so sorry you felt lied too as that is not our intentions whatsoever! Sometimes the surveys completed at the end of the course do not finalize which does cause the course to be in a " pending completion " state. In order for us to bypass this delay, we would finalize it on the date the survey was taken, which was 7/9/2022. Our Representative Johanna did finalize the course on 8/6/2022 and I do see that the certificate was sent out on 08/08/2022. I believe there was some misunderstanding on when the course was finalized manually and the cert being sent out.
I have reviewed the account and can confirm that the course certificate should be arriving soon if not already received.

I needed to call customer service for a certificate issue and Johanna G assisted me. She was fabulous and focused and was able resolve the issue and answer the questions I had. Despite my initially surly behavior (AAA had me on a call for 45 minutes before telling me they could not help me and that I had to contact the driver's ed school directly), Johanna remained friendly and empathetic the entire time and her positive attitude was nothing short of exemplary. First, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delay in response. To clarify, the premier pass option you are referring to is an OPTIONAL upgrade for customers to use for expedited support service, free duplicate certificate requests, and free courses due to failures. This option is not required to pass the course, so there are no extra fees required. The course itself is all you need to pass and have it reported. This option is for those wanting to purchase this service. I apologize if this was confusing or misleading.

I agree with your statement, this is "misleading". The "optional upgrade" is an additional fee. You think people are stupid and don't know what ADDITIONAL fee means.
=====> ("We don't have ADDITIONAL fees, we have OPTIONAL fees"). LOL
=====> ("We don't have ADDITIONAL fees or OPTIONAL fees, we have an IDIOT tax.") LOL
I agree with your statement that this is "confusing". So, there is nothing else you can do to help me because I don't deal with "confusing" companies.
If you want to help me, be honest. Refund all customers that have paid the "IDIOT tax" and give it for free for everyone that did not pay.

Purchased online course. Problems from the start. They use a voice recognition system that is too sensitive and makes it impossible to complete the course without having to call tech support (who was often not helpful) many times after you get locked out. They even threaten to fail you and not return your money if you get locked out too many times. Wasted hours of my time and it was highly frustrating! Take a Zoom class from another company.American Safety Council, Inc.

I *inadvertently locked myself out of my test / account by mistakenly choosing the incorrect answers to a few of my own security questions...over a several day period (in and out of the account) I became confused with some of my own *15 security questions. After contacting the ASC in Orlando, Fl., I had the pleasure of speaking to "Nancy B." who was a *very pleasant "sweetheart" to deal with. She immediately explained the situation, *kindly apologized for the disruption, and *competently rectified the problem. Thank you Nancy!! ***PS: I passed the test with a 97.5 (1 wrong out of 40) ....not bad for *1 round.American Safety Council, Inc.

I paid for a course $75 on March 7th. No email confirmation was sent, my effort to contact them through phone, email, website is zero.
