      Holiday Inn Vacations is a shady business. My husband called to make a reservation at a Holiday Inn hotel and was asked at the end of the call if he could answer a few questions. He thought he was helping someone out by answering questions in a "survey". She asked about golf locations that my husband and son would like to play and he answered a few more things. He thought he was completing his hotel booking when he gave his credit card and email address and before we knew it he was charged $269 for 2 nights in Scottsdale, Arizona. We disputed it with our credit card company but Holiday Inn Club Vacations refuses to back down and said it was non refundable and non transferable. We are requesting all the "tapes" of the conversation so we can hear exactly what the salesperson said. All of this has turned me off from ever book a hotel room owned by Holiday Inn EVER again!!!!

      A bunch of things you should know about this business and their "sales": One, they will OVER exaggerate EVERYTHING: The relations between their "points" and your dollars. The ease of use of the timeshare. You don't own anything. It's all a scam. If you owned it, you wouldn't have to pay a booking fee to stay at a property you own (Free money for Holiday Inn, though). Also, when we made them aware of how we were lied to we were told about some Horizons program that they offer to get out of the timeshare that WE DON'T QUALIFY FOR. That was their solution. That's like someone saying they're hungry but allergic to seafood and then you respond with a solution of "Here's some crab meat.". The entire business is smoke and lies. Stay away.

      TERRIBLE SERVICE! I bought my travel package a year ago, spoken with SEVERAL DIFFERENT people who couldn't seem to get the dates that I was told were submitted when I bought. now that my package is one day away from expiring I get an email saying my money will not be refunded. I called and of course customer service tells me they can extend my UNSIGNED contract IF I PAY 60.00 I asked to be transferred to corporate and she let me sit on hold for 30 minutes same person picked up and repeated the same thing. I asked to be transferred again and once someone finally answered it was not cooperate. This time her buddy picks up and obviously says the same thing. I WILL NOT GIVE THEM ANYMORE OF MY SERVICE and thinking of taking legal action at this point. definitely scamming ppl out of money. If I could, I wouldn't even give them one star. Not only did I not get my money back the lady pretending to be corporate was very rude.

      BUYER BEWARE!! I received a call stating I was "selected" for a 4 day/3 night vacation for $249, all I had to do was sit through a "virtual tour" of the property. When I hesitated on it, they reduced the price to $199, saying I'd get a cash refund of $199 after I sat through the "tour". This first representative stated that there were no blackout dates when booking the stay, but that there would be an additional fee of $29 per night for premium dates, such as Labor Day weekend, but was told I would ONLY need to pay the $29 additional, NO other taxes or fees above that and the additional amount would be paid upon arrival. They took the $199 payment and then I was transferred to someone else to book the dates. After being on hold for over 30 min., the call disconnected. I called back and the second representative said that I would need to pay the additional $29 per night ($87 total) THAT DAY to reserve the dates we wanted. The second representative said the $87 was fully refundable if we cancelled our trip. At that point, I asked for a full refund of the $199. The representative then offered an additional $50 cash back at the end of the tour, making them now "lose money" on this vacation package. I asked for an updated confirmation email late that evening with the new cash back amount of $249 because of the first person's lies. Received new confirmation email but the refund amount was $199, not the $249 I was promised. Having realized I have now been LIED TO TWICE, I requested a full refund the next morning. I received a response saying my request has been denied, even though I was LIED to at least TWICE by this organization. Do they really think I would invest a dime with them after all the misrepresentation over the "virtual tour"?! I have YET to receive the promised refund of $87 as well! Scammers, thieves and liars! Don't waste your time or money! Believe it that I will share my HORRIBLE experience with HICV on repeat!! Calling my attorney.
