We are here to warn you and tell you why we have no desire to maintain any sort of relationship with Holiday Inn Club Vacations. Here are our reasons: During the sales presentation for their timeshares, they would not take NO for an answer. We had refused their offer many times. When we expressed that we wanted to leave, they offered another price even lower than the one before. They apply an insane amount of pressure. We were never informed that we had a window of rescission. We were rushed through the contract process. Wish they had that urgency and rush during the presentation instead of keeping us there for 3 hours. We were told to skim the contract as quickly as possible to assure we were getting the best deal. We were told maintenance fees would never increase, when in reality, they never stop increasing. Even during the peak of COVID when traveling was not permitted, they continued to charge us. There are plenty of other reasons as to why we do not want any relationship with Holiday Inn. If Holiday Inn really cared for their customers, they would reply to the letter we wrote their executive management, but instead they continue to ignore us. For every vacation time purchase, we are careful to indicate the state's rescission period, in bold caps, just above the signatures. From the beginning of the transaction, the sales practices of Holiday Inn have been predatory and the entire experience has been an absolutely egregious with every interaction. I have exhausted attempts to communicate my concerns in writing and in person and no-one will willingly offer a simple resolution just more sales. On the monthly amount alone I have spent over $9,600, not to include the odd year property taxes over the past 8 years. I clearly am able to maintain my payments, however, I do not desire to pass down a money pit of real estate to my family for a lifetime. They lied to me about the ease of using (points accumulated) based on my payments for vacation. I have to pay a steep amount to avoid losing points when I attempt to book hotel rooms through their brand. I have incurred my own hotel expenses throughout the years because I have to pay additional money to use the points that are supposedly transferrable??? Not without a steep fee on top, that is more than the cost of outright booking a room. I want the bleeding to stop and my contract to be ended. In their their own words," the odd year plan has no value and it should have never been sold." Well give me my money back! The resolution they continue to offer is an upgrade, to be in further debt to them, Wowww, unbelievable! I have earnestly tried in good faith to communicate to them. They only seek to take more of your hard earned money. Walk away friend, Don't do it. It's cheaper and more valuable to book a hotel or vacation on your own, elsewhere.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

I just want to make you all aware of what you are up against with HIVC. Several hours of coercion lie ahead if you dare to go to a presentation. This is what I was told: I would own a physical piece of property in FL. I would have access to reservations when and where I wanted, and that my price would be $11,000. the true cost comes to be $23,000!! These scammers are so full of it. I have no property, I'm being billed for membership fees, maintenance fees on top of the monthly payment. Then I get harassed to go to more presentations to spend more! Since I bought the time share, I have run into some issues that make travel impossible. I informed HIVC and they refused to help me. Now I have to keep paying for something I physically CANNOT use! So I was invited down to do the times share tour to join the club. paid the $199 which you would think includes everything since your touring to buy. Upon check in they asked for a credit card for Incidentals. I had NO INCIDENTS. Got home looked at my statement and there was a $118 charge. So I call. The my inform me that's a resort fee and taxes. "RESORT FEE". What? The pool was dirty. The lazy river was green. Never towels available which are supposed to be in the "resort fee" hush puppies? Never saw those. At one point I had to park across the street because there wasn't any parking. I'm confused as to where these resort fees should come in. I don't complain much but this is crazy. I toured the resort across the street. That was clean. This was not. Never was told anything about mini golf being there and unlimited. I'm just pissed all the way around. If they ask you to do the tour save yourself 2 hours and pay to go elsewhere. Your not getting a deal. Our getaway vacation packages are deeply discounted, because we know that vacation time is precious. For guests interested in learning about our Club and benefits, the package is a nice alternative to renting at prevailing rates. During popular times, especially Summer in Myrtle Beach, we may arrange accommodations at nearby hotels. When Holiday Inn Vacations pressured me into purchasing a timeshare, back in 2007, I was convinced I was making a good decision. Boy was I wrong. They only talked about the good things that come with a timeshare, which eventually has unraveled into lies. I was never informed about the many fees I would have to pay, let alone how these fees increase ALL THE TIME. This year I paid a combined maintenance fee of $3,400. When I saw how ridiculous my fees were, I tried to rent it out, as I was told I was able to. Since it is deeded to me, they told me it was an option. WRONG AGAIN! All they have done was lie to me and I no longer believe anything these disingenuous people tell me. I have given Holiday Inn too many years of my loyalty and they are not able to do the same.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

1 starI don't even want to give a star. This company is so awful. Look at all these reviews before you make your decision. I wonder why this company still exists. We all need to sue this company. Because they will continue to take people money and do nothing about it. Lies upon lies. Their agents are terrible. The agent don't tell you everything you need to know up front then transfer you to another one trying to make it appealing to make the decision. Once you do, you are stuck. The information they sent after paying is completely different then what they told you and you will find out what they didn't tell you. DO not do it, trying to correct the mistake my parents made almost 40 years ago my wife and i bought in to make things work for us.What i got is ten years of monthly payments,two weeks with yearly tax and dues payments.The worst part is a team that just lets you crash a burn with no regard for peoples problems.My 0arents passed and they want me to pay a lawyer 3 thousand dollars to change a title with a regisering fee of about 200 dollars for a title.When probate has been completed in my state but is not good enough.Please if i can save anyone fom this hardship please listen.We are not all rich like these people and there is no need to b taken advantage of by them.They have made no attempt to help me with any of this but were certainly fast to attach my name after death to make sure im obligated but not them.Dont do it,its a nightmare.Its all lies and sugar coating .Run far Run fast keep running!!!Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

We took advantage of Holiday Inn Vacation Club's 3 night/4 day vacation. We chose the Pigeon Forge TN location. They made our lodging reservation at The Ramsey Hotel in Pigeon Forge. We had to travel to the Holiday Inn Vacation Club's hotel to meet with a time share sales representative on Tuesday 7/19/2022. When that meeting ended we were exiting their building to go to our truck to leave when I fell off of an unmarked curb landing on my forehead and left knee. My glasses were broken and there is a gash on between my eyes which bled quite a lot. An ambulance was called. There was a report made by a Holiday Inn Vacation Club representative and by the ambulance EMTs. I was seen in the Hospital ER. Diagnosis of severe soft tissue injury to left knee which is so painful I cannot bear weight on it. Contusions and laceration of forehead. I have two black eyes and a lingering nagging headache. I have called Holiday Inn Vacation Club's Pigeon Forge location and nobody would speak to me about my fall nor give me their company insurance information. They gave me the email address which I have already mentioned. We are elder. I am 75 and my husband is 80. I'm not able to travel home yet and cannot get any help from the Holiday Inn Vacation Club. We are on a fixed income and can't afford hotel fees until I can travel. My Medicare was billed by the hospital for my care, tests and treatment. We will never recommend the Holiday Inn Vacation Club to anyone in light of how we have been treated.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

Lies Lies and more Lies. We bought our time share through HICV about 4 years ago. We told them we wanted to be able to travel international and all that.... We were told we would be able to do so with what we purchased. A year later and a member update told us that we indeed DID NOT have international travel. They went to management and we had to fill out a form stated (essentially) that we were lied to by our sales person and that we would agree to purchase a new timeshare with the international (interval) - it cost us an additional $20K. almost 3 years later and we NEVER can seem to get the signature room we paid into when we want one where we want it. The one time we were able to get a signature room for dates we wanted I called 13 months in advance and had to get management approval since apparently I am only allowed to book 9 months out. We unfortunately got COViD and had to cancel. We don't normally know we can travel that far in advance... Any time I even have tried to book out in advance everything is always sold out. I want to sell this timeshare and was given a company from them to go through.. had to pay $600 to list it and still haven't been able to sell the darn thing for what I still owe (took out a loan on my dang 401K for this) I think HICV should buy back any timeshare that they sell to us.. Even if they bought it for what I have left to pay, they still would make tons of money, because they would end up selling it at a higher rate AND they already have gotten $30+k out of me (if they paid we back what I still own - about $23K). I am separated now and don't have the extra income, paying a maintenance fee and membership fee every year for something I can't use... and if i move my points to IGH, I still have to pay a fee per 100K points to move them so they don't expire on me and that is IF i remember to move them - since they don't remind you or anything. It is not at all that I haven't made use of the club. I have TRIED! Every time I try to book online there is never anything available and I call the Signature members line to see if maybe I am missing something and always get it confirmed that there are indeed no rooms available. Then when I can't use my points i have to pay in order to move them to IHG so I don't lose the points (since I never can get a room to use them), which means even more money I am spending on top of what I have already spent, on top of the maintenance fees and everything else. Your folks made me feel like we were making this great investment to have yearly trips with my family and something I could pass down and .... I know my kids will never want to deal with this nonsense because I don't even want to deal with it anymore.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

We went through a timeshare meeting and was shared false information about how amazing timeshare was and everything and were pressured to purchase timeshare. We instantly realised that it was a bad decision and sent a notarised and certified letter in the mail within 2 days with signature confirmation stating that we want to cancel our contact. We were told to contact quality assurance (not sure why)! I called and left several voicemails. No one replies other than that one time where she offered another lower points timeshare. In the contract , it was mentioned that we could legally cancel the contract within 10 days of signing (after sending a written notice, which we did). It is practically impossible to talk to a human. They gave us direct number during presentation but no one answers. Salesman mentioned that their business was A+ rated by BBB , which is false advertising. I am very frustrated by this company and their handling of situation. Just trying to avoid us doesn't mean that you will not cancel my timeshare contact! I have not been refunded my down payment! Seems like your corporate office, your sales manager and your quality assurance officer will reply to BBB complaints but not answer phones or emails.
