We appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your concerns with your recent shipment with us.

FreightCenter is a 3rd party logistics company; therefore, we do not handle or transport freight;we simply connect the shipper to a carrier.

As such, the liability lies with the carrier because they are handling and transporting your cargo.

It appears that our Bill of Lading wasnt presented to the driver at pickup.  Without our Bill of Lading, the freight carrier doesnt know who to bill for the shipment. It was brought to our attention on 6/12/25. We have followed the procedure to correct the error. It seems that the carrier goes to your area once a week and should deliver on 6/25/25.

You are welcome to pick it up from the terminal, which is 20 miles away, if you would like it sooner. You would simply need to let us know so that we can arrange that.

We apologize for the experience you have had. We do understand how frustrating delay times can be. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

Product was severely damaged. We were also charged extra for the shipment due to larger dimensions. Our package was palletized on a 40" x 48" pallet and they charged us for 60" +. When asked for proof of that, they stated that we had to provide proof. We sent them photos and they stopped responding to our emails until we said we were going to dispute the charge. At which point, they said that they would send it to collections if we did. A terrible business trying to scam a few dollars extra out of customers knowing that they do not ship often. Their attitude changes significantly after the agreement is signed and they could care less about customer service at that point. Very dishonest company and practices.

Were sorry to hear that your shipment was damaged. We dont see additional shipment protection coverage added to your shipment.  We would be happy to send information on how you can file a damage claim with the carrier for their liability coverage.

We understand billing adjustments are an inconvenient part of the shipping process, and we do our very best to ensure our shippers avoid them at all costs. Please note that all carriers verify the information provided on the cargo they handle and if there are any discrepancies with what was reported during the quote phase and the actual weight, class, or dimensions as noted by the carrier, a billing adjustment is issued.

With your shipment, the dimensions were larger than originally provided during the quote request. This discrepancy resulted in a billing adjustment. The certified inspection report should have been sent.  If you would like another copy, we will be happy to send it again.

We are happy to dispute this with the carrier on his behalf.  As stated in an email sent 4/9/2025, we did request the required documentation to provide to the carrier to dispute the charge. Without the correct documents, we can not dispute the charge.

We hope this information helps clear up any confusion. Again, thank you for your feedback. Please let us know if we can provide any documentation you may need.

    Thank you,

The problem is that the freight company is pushing the burden of proof onto the customer. I cannot prove that the package is not as big as they say it was. Besides the photos sent. They should be able to provide to us the photos of the oversized shipment. They did not make us aware at any point that the shipment was bigger than stated until we received the charge. This practice alone should be illegal. Its alike to being charged for something at a restaurant that you never received. How can you prove that you never received it?

If I could select no stars I would. Not only were they late picking up the shipment by 4 days, they did not provide the requested notification prior to delivery. They then sent me an invoice over a week later increasing the charge by over 200%. Weight increasing I could understand but the change of business status with the use of zillo to back it up is unbelievable. My recommendation is to stay as far away from this company as possible

The agent did discuss that ranches/farms are considered limited access locations. We realize that it is accessible for a tractor trailer, but the carriers will deem it that way.  The carriers use software programs to indicate if a location is residential or limited access.

Unfortunately,we can not dispute these charges with the carrier.

big mistake on my part ,should have read reviews first have had the same problem with freight quote ,i thought since i spoke with one of the **** ,our shipping address is for some reason showing we are a limited access have been at this location in business for more than 20 yrs have forklift ,dock circle drive for tractor trailers since we spoke with *** when booking she agreed ,now they say the trucking company is charging them ****** more ,we sent pictures of warehouse, forklifts building dock where we loaded this truck but the same as freight quote there is no way freight center will give in ,we have asked for the billing statement for **** trucking ,but they refuse to show it to me ,so it is plain to see this is a scam ,if it were not they would be happy to show it BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE

Carriers have the right to deem a location as Limited Access. Certain locations, regardless of whether they are tractor-trailer accessible, are considered Limited Access. The carriers use software programs to indicate if a location is limited access or residential. This is not something that we can dispute with the carrier.  It seems that you had the same issue with another freight broker. All carriers will consider your location Limited Access.

We hope this information helps clear up any confusion. Again, thank you for your feedback.

I scheduled a pickup and received a call from a scheduling agent because she thought my building was a "limited access facility", and wanted to charge an extra $100. After the discussion she understood that there were no limits on access, so the initial quoted amount is what I was charged. A week later, I get an email were they charged me an extra $150 for limited access to the facility, which is completely false. The driver pulled right up to the building, we loaded the crate and he was on his way. He did not have to open gates or wait for gates to be opened. After talking with customer service, they said the trucking company they scheduled to pick up the load, deemed it as limited access, and that the charges were not refundable. A company that is crooked enough to take money out of your pocket without true cause or discussion, is not a company worth doing business with. FIND ANOTHER CARRIER AND TAKE THERE REVIEWS SERIOUSLY.

The freight carriers deem gas plants limited access regardless if the gate is open or closed. Unfortunately, this is not a charge we can dispute. We would like to split the cost of the billing adjustment with you if you are agreeable. We can refund your credit card for $75.19. Please let us know if this is something you agree to.

Again, we apologize as this experience as we always strive to deliver outstanding customer service.

The freight classification for a shower door is based on the density of your item. Based on the information that you provided in the quote process, 300 lbs, 90x40x36, the density was 4.00 pounds per cubic feet, which calculates to a class 175. The actual dimensions provided by the carrier were 300 lbs, 96x40x40.5, which calculates to a freight class of 500.  Freight carriers consider 96 as oversized freight and charge extra for that. Six inches can make a big difference in price.

Unfortunately, this is not something that we can dispute with the carrier.

Again, we apologize as this experience as we always strive to deliver outstanding customer service. Please feel free to reach out to us if we can be of any further assistance.
