    Having had prior experience with this company, I contacted them after Hurricane Ian to repair/replace my pool cage. They provided a reasonable price to replace and we gave them a deposit for a promised install in february 2023. Due to all the damages from Ian, labor issues, material issues etc, they were not able to install until February 2024. While it was a long wait, I will say the installation was excellent. The crew who did the work were fantastic!

    Norman F Signed the Contract / Invoice with sales rep Isaac B**** from Harper’s 1980 LLC on 03/08/23 to demo old damaged screen enclosure and build anew one for $26,900. It required a $5,400 deposit installation time 9-12 months. Quoted installation may change due to variances not controlled by Harper 1980 LLc. I called about start date, they said spring or summer, not months but seasons? Very little communication, no one answering phones? I can see I’m not alone.

    This client owes $10k that refuses to pay and refuses us to be on the property. There is about 3 hours work there. There were no pavers at the time of measuring and he was told that we would come back. Not every complaint is accurate.

    This does not apply to me. No work has been done here. Super came by three weeks ago to prepare for permit probably start in July. When they arrive I owe them $8,050. I owe nothing currently

    We signed contract in july2023 for 1 hurricane lanai shade. We were promised a July delivery and when I asked Issac if they were behind he said no. Well here we are going into March of 2024 with $4450 dollars of my hard earned money that this company refuses to give back. The owner is making me jump through hoops to get any information on my refund check. It’s been three weeks since I sent a certified letter that his lawyer requested. Still crickets!!

    A refund has been delivered to the client. As with most clients, the promise of removing all posts and BBB complaint fails to happen. I was promised in the driveway at their home that this action will happen.

    Signed Contract with Harpers 1980 LLC on 10/2/23 for hurricane shutters Put 50% down (only would accept a check) Contract stated 8-10 weeks to install. Starting in January tried calling the company with no voice mail or message the the voice box is full. Finally sent email on 1/18/2024. did reply on 1/19 with every excuse you can think of mostly couldn't get the material. Shortly after went to office, but questions couldn't be answered because the owner wasn't in and he is the only one with answers. The next communication was help issues, but was told 2/27 install date ,we asked for an email conformation on the 2/27 date but never received one. Sent a certified letter on 2/6/2024 which they received on 2/8/2024. To request cancellation of contract due to noncompliance of installation schedule. Also stated if they are not at our property with installation on 2/27/2024 we would be by their office on 2/28 to pick up a cashiers check for our initial deposit of $2250.00. This Company keeps advertising in our local magazines, This is not right - they can't care of the customers they already have. I have already reached to one magazine the other magazine will be contacted today.

    Why would an individual file multiple complaints with BBB? This client has received the refund. This is just an attempt to continue to bring defamation to a company. This individual promised to remove all negativity but has failed to  do so.

    I contracted with Harper's on 11 Sep 2023 to have hurricane Bahama shutters and hurricane panels installed on my new home in **************, **. The deposit was for 50% and the lead time for the project was ***** weeks. This would have put the completion of the project in mid to late Dec 2023. I reached out to the company the end of Nov to check status and confirm they were still on track to complete in Dec. The salesman would not provide me any information for about a week. I had a short conversation with the President of Operations (PoO) on 4 Dec 2023 where he stated he didn't think a second measurement had been done which was necessary to complete the order. This was a surprise as we were within 3-4 weeks of estimated project completion. The PoO stated he needed to do more research on the status and would get back with me. After no contact for multiple weeks, I decided to end the contract. I delivered a contract cancellation letter to the office on 4 Jan ****. He continued to avoid my texts and phone calls until 5 Jan ****. He only contacted me on 5 Jan **** after he saw a post on social media that he assumed was about his company. He agreed to giving me a refund and that it would be 2 weeks. Two weeks went by and nothing. He has now offered to have certified funds sent to me by 2 Feb ****. I guess we shall see if the he carries through with that promise.

    First of all I would give them a 0!! Signed a contract for installation of accordion shutters on 4/28/23. Total cost $9800.00. 50 % down and balance due at completion. Quotes installation date of 12-16 week which was understandable at the time. On July 17 I called-was told they would be ordered soon and get the permit. I continued to call every couple weeks. STILL WAITING was the usual response. Soon they did not return my calls. On Nov. 14,2023 was told by Morgan that I would now be dealing with Brian. I had already researched who the company president was & found out it was Brian! I posted a comment on their facebook page and he texted me & said he would call me the next day. He did and said they would be installed the next week. Turns out they weren't even IN YET.Sent an email to Isaac B**** inquired as to installation date and WHEN where they were ordered. He cc'd Brian on his response-it was not his area and they don't disclosed order dates. Eventually Brian told me he would waive the balance due on installation. I seem to be finding out now he is telling the same thing to a lot of us. I got an email from Brain on Jan 25 and he said I was about 2 weeks out!. I had previously told him earlier in December that I would be out of the country and not available. LIES-LIES. We need to look at a class action law suit. He took advantage of how many residents who were affected by hurricane Ian. I was making the purchase to protect my home for future hurricanes. Guess I will have to hire a reputable company to do the job so maybe I will have them by this hurricane season.

    My complaint is similar to all the others. It will be a year in March **** since I signed a contract for hurricane shutters. The job has never been completed . I have one window unprotected because they removed the existing connections to my original shutters before finding out they measured wrong in the one they were to install. Although they considered my account paid in full, they promised to finish the exposed window and the finishing of the bolts on the installed shutters. There has not been an inspection of the final job to satisfy the permit.The lack of communication is troubling.I took back a previous review because of their promise to provide a paid I full invoice for the incomplete, paid for job with a promise to finish.I waited but still waited for it to be finished.

    I told them not to come back because I needed the job done and done correctly before hurricane season. They never gave me an appointment or a time frame. Always promises and no follow thru and lack of decent communication. I had to finish the job myself.

    Last April we put a deposit on hurricane shutters and was told they would be installed in September Here it is the end of January and have not heard from them. We have called numerous times and if we do get an answer to the calls they said they have no idea when they will be in. If they are a reputable company they should keep in contact with customers letting them know the status of their order. They should be in contact with their suppliers and find new ones if they cannot fillan order

    On 9/20/2023 I put a down payment of $1000.00 down for an Install White ********* with walkover track on our Lanai Slider Patio Door. Have emailed, Called, Texted & went to the place of businness and all I hear is their supplier is not taking care of their orders. Almost 4 months and nothing is happening. What do I do?***************************** *************************************************************

    Back on February of 2023, we gave Harpers' a $3,000 down payment to replace our pool cage due to damage from Hurrican Ian. At that time we were told we wouldn't get our new cage until December of 2023, we were OK with that. Well, December has come and gone and no one is answering the phone or emails. Will keep trying, but that is no way to run a business. Next, will be to go to the place of business and stay till I get an answer. Be aware, I should have checked out the BBB rating first.

    We had an agreement with this client, and Elder Abuse something or other. The said agreement demanded that there be no social media attacks and removal of all posts. Then we would send refund. The client just could not refrain from commenting. We are looking to resolve this although the client said a few of her friends and herself will continue to smear.
