On Aug 6, 2021 we contracted the purchase and installation of a front entry door. On Oct 29, 2021` the door was installed. We were told after the inspection someone would come out and install the final trim piece that covers the screws. Nov 12, 2021 it was inspected. There have been several attempts to install this trim but every time someone comes out they say they have the wrong trim. May 13, 2022 was the last time someone was here. His name was ****. He told us a representative from the company that makes the door would contact us. No one did. **** left a box in our garage that is still sitting there. We have contacted our salesperson and on the first call she said she would look into this and get back to us. We have heard nothing back from her and have called and left messages to no avail. It has been over a year and we are still waiting for the completion of this $6,000.00 door. Reece was paid in full.

I began my process with RC who graciously introduced himself as top sales guy of the **mpany. During the process of wanting to move forward he told me that night I had to sign with ****** or else he wouldn't be able to represent my needs and gather financial info. Assured me on at least 20 occasions that I had much longer to cancel. In fact said because I got him, I **uld cancel until windows went into production which he would notify me. This all took place on 3/5/22. Rec'd a call 3/14 from Reece to measure. RC had not gotten any of the #'s I said I MUST have to move forward. He asked me to lie and say we haven't had time to finish p/work. On 3/16 DF to RC I do not think I can afford this as you have shown me nothing. DF to RC you are perfect ****** customer. 3/25 I'll **me by 3/26. RC to DF sorry I didn't stop by my guy in the shop has not gotten me a quote. 3/28 DF to RC hello anyone home? I called an insurance ** as you advised and they said they **uld not quote me w/o the qaulified credit based ins. s**re. ********** I'll **me tomorrow and we will call. We spent the next 2 days with RC suggesting I need to up my replacement **st of my home by $100k. DF to RC so the only missing piece is the numbers you promised me on paper. I WILL NOT MOVE FORWARD w/o. RC to DF you will get every dis**unt I promised. Let me know when you want to finish. DF to RC am I not speaking English, you know what I need. Then he calls and needs to **me by because ***** just gave him a deal to close this. The doors will be rolled in at Reece's **st if we close before RC leaves on 4/1. ********* I am very sorry but I am not willing I want my #'s on paper. 4/4 ********* I can't **ntinue like this.4/5 ********* when I get back we will measure and show up with your savings #'s and I will cancel the first ****** **ntract. 4/9 Panic call and text to RC. If my complaint texts were read thoroughly it is easy to see that I had a very unethical salesman. He lied to me at every juncture. In the first hour at my home he forced the signing of the contract even though I said I need written proof to back up his statements, needed to see everything on paper. He told me without my signing the contract he could not make any calls representing me to my insurance, electric or any person unless he was in a contract with me. As you can see throughout I continually at the majority of texts I wanted to cancel because I never ever got these crucial numbers. From the very ***** day he instructed me to lie if anyone called and asked if I gave my $350 deposit check to hold the deal. He told me to tell them we haven't finished the paperwork. He acknowledged that probably because he has everything he needed to s**** me over. He emphatically told me there was no basis for me to have any concern in him or his manager. On one particular phone call he told me that I had until the windows went to fabrication that I still could cancel (he told me I had to strictly keep that on that down low) and by that time I'd have all the numbers I needed as windows were at least 3-6 months out for fabrication. He assured me he would tell me when we were getting close to that point. He told me even after ****** sent me an email that the assessment would be a few dollars shy of $6k a year (which equated to $496 month mortgage increase) that those numbers didn't mean a thing. He said at the end when he and general manager issued credits and discounts that the number would be $325 a month. Great news until I asked for it in writing. As you can guess I never saw that number become real on any electric or written communication. I told him it was making me sick and I was afraid I would get stuck with a $496 assessment that I can't afford and lose my home. I am a senior citizen who is divorced and I feel as if this man and this company fed me promises and from day 1 I said it was critical to have written back up. I was also told that at the end of the project he and his general manager were going to wrap doors in somehow some way as they are very good at this. I had had enough and demanded he bring over the form I had to sign. He never showed (as per usual) only to reply that he would speak to his manager. Silence. I asked every day after that if it was all canceled and he never returned my texts. That was June 12, 2022. Fast forward to 8/30 when the office called to install my windows and I replied my project canceled. Next thing you know the general manager calls and himself lied to me. He said he had just gotten off the phone with ****** and they told him to tell me if I don't schedule the windows by that Friday 9/2, ****** was going to put a lien on my house and after 30 days would look to foreclose. I waited until the following week and I decided to call ****** and let them know all of these details. The gentleman I spoke to said ****** would never say that. If I choose not to finance my project that was on me but they certainly don't make threats like that. Again another Reece lie. The general manager went on to tell me that my salesman had been fired in June along with the measurer who he has brought to my house.

Questions that rose to mind. You fire someone who owes me facts and figures in written form and you knew I had said I caneled and yet no one from Reece ever reached out to me after the firing to update me as a consumer that there had been internal changes? No one reached out to see what "promises" **** might not have kept? Remember according to the salesman he was in touch with the general manager often about my project. There is just deceptive business practice after practice going on here. In the pit of my stomach I know that the $325 is NOT a realistic number. The finance people are required by law to give you accurate numbers.  I also notice that the permit to the ****************** is inaccurate. They filed for a permit on 6/3 with the dollar amount of the job at $85,750.88, when the factual number would have been $55,312.  I am retiring in April 2023. I am not well. I have has a heart attack and a dew near death type 1 diabetes experiences. Is Reece I wonder in the business of scamming senior citizens who are also not well?

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I will accept this at this time. Craig from Reece told me 4 to 5 weeks and I hope so as permit expires 10/1/22 and need final inspection. I really hope they honor their word and do what is right as promised.
