  Once again impressed by AAAH’s professional and timely team. I’ve never had a late technician - matter of fact they’ve always come towards the earlier hour of the time window. Jewel was no exception today. He got here, did what he came to do, and gave thorough details as to what he checked, what components were currently operating at, and what components should be operating at. He was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. That’s the kind of guy you want working on such an important piece of machinery in this state.

  We just had our preventive maintenance performed and out technician Justyn N. did an excellent job by showing me pictures of all the parts for inspection. He noticed that we did not have a hard start for our outside unit and also showed me that our fan and contacts were heavily worn. He tested everything and said that upon startup our unit was drawing too many amps way over spec. He also checked our new electronic air filter and said that everything was working fine. He recommended that we replace the contact, fan and install a hard start for the system to run more efficiently. We agreed since the unit was installed in 2008 and we are trying to get 5+ years more from it. I will be requesting Justyn for any future PMs because he was very professional and courteous. The company in July 2023 installed new A/C duct work and it is a noticeable difference in air quality. I am very happy choosing American Air & Heat and will be waiting for the next work to be done.

  Fred came out and did my service. I appreciated his attention to detail. He took the time to inform me on things I would need to help keep the system clean and safe for me and my family and showed me as well what was wrong. He explained everything so that I understood and walked me through the numbers and showed me where they needed to be and why. I truly appreciated the time and attention Fred provided while working on my AC unit. I give Fred 10 stars!

  I contacted American Air & Heat to perform Preventative Maintenance.
  The first thing the technician did was suggest I purchase a 1 year MCCM Membership for $189
  
  He then proceeded to check out my A/C for Preventative Maintenance.
  He found several issues and explained why I need the replacement parts.
  TSTAT/6000 Thermostat- Focus Pro 6000 $312.30
  CNTR/WARR Contactor - 2 $228.60
  CAP/KICK Capacitor & Relay- Hard Start Assist $516.60
  TOTAL $1,246.50
  
  I requested that they send me a breakdown of the cost of the parts and the labor charges to install each part. I was told this was not possible because the part and labor charges was one charge.
  
  I checked on the Home Depot website and the Thermostat- Focus Pro 6000 was $153.89. American Air and Heat charged $312.30
  
  I checked on the Goodman website for parts but since there was no part # on their invoice it was difficult to find any prices – but charges for Contactor ran from $18 t0 $60 – American Air and Heat charged $114.
  The charges for a capacitor ran from $21 to $72 - American Air and Heat charges $516.60
  
  A representative told me the parts were contractor grade which were better that the parts that could be purchased at Home Depot or from Goodman dealer.
  
  I am a 78 year old single female and I believe they took advantage of me. There is no way I contact them for the 2 Preventative Tune-Up's.

  American Air and Heat has been consistently efficient and helpful ever since we started to use them for all our a/c needs many years ago.
  We had a minor problem with the a/c unit today and their technician, Jonathan, fixed it within 5 hours of my call for help! Outstanding!

  Rip-off! Total bill was just under $10,500 for new A/C unit, ducts, pad. Year and a half later the unit is not working, no cold air due to cracked coil. They want $2000 to install a new one even though the coil is covered under Lenox warranty. Fraudulent company knowingly selling and installing inadequate units because it keeps them busy with maintenance calls while the customer has to pay over and over for these repair issues or pay a few thousand more to purchase the maintenance plan they sell- Total rip-off.
