They called me during my work day and identified themselves as the National Police and Trooper Association, a division of the International Union of Police Associations. When I googled them and said, "You're the National Police and Trooper Association? I don't see anything about you online...?" they hung up. I'm happy to give to legitimate cop-support organizations, but this isn't one of them.

The 1 Star = 0. They will call you and call you even when you ask to be taken of their list. The calls always seem to come when you least expect it. Solicitors asking you to donate. They claimed a donation would be for training and education of officers and troopers as well as support their families for loss of life. When I asked follow up questions there would be a pause and he would repeat the same thing he had already said - multiple times.

Not sure why the police need more money. the have the best retirement. There compensation is way more than adequate along with premium pay. The have plenty of time off. They chose that career. When I started to ask questions he hung up. I donate to the poor.

I appreciate all the reviews people have put on here because I too was contacted by this organization. I told them I would not give my credit card over the phone, but if they send me an envelope I would send some money. I told them that I was on disability and couldn't afford very much. They said that the lowest category was $20. A few weeks after this conversation I did get the envelope. But I also got some bad ************ I would need heart surgery very soon due to the amount of clogged arteries I have. This company called me back wondering where their money was a few weeks later. I told them I would have to wait because I didn't know how much I would have to pay for my heart surgery. They didn't seem to care and asked how soon I could send the money. I think I hung up on them after a while because I had no interest in what they had to say knowing what I was going to have to face soon. A few months have gone by and the heart surgery went well. I've been healing for about a month and today I got a phone call from a woman stating that I committed to a $20 donation and forcefully trying to get me to pay with my credit card over the phone. Once they stop talking I said, I just had heart surgery and I'm still healing. She tried to continue talking but again I repeat it, I just had heart surgery. I think she finally realized that I may be a lost cause to get any money out of me because she's simply said, have a good day and hung up. So now that I pray all these negative reviews, I won't be sending any money. I'm a big supporter of our First Responders, but only ones that are legit.

They called from ************************************************** getting my card number.I told him I would pledge but I would not give him my card number. Told them to send me a return envelope. He started playing the hard guy, bully about the pledge. The letter came and I didn't pay with a money order like I told them I would. It would have been sent to a PO box in *********? No where close to the number they called from.Don't send these people a dime!!!!!

I got a call from NATIONAL POLICE AND TROOPER/NPTA asking for donations. I googled # *** which is ******* and after him saying I could pick the lowest donation of $25 I asked where he was located. 519 and he pretended not to hear me and started his speech again. **** I asked again where he was located and he pretended not to hear me AGAIN and started again so I asked again where he was located and he again didn't answer so I told him to GO F(yes I said the word)himself and his scam and hung up. The numbers you see if put together make where he called from (not the $25)

They called my mom and tricked her. I cancelled her card and had a new one issued. They aggressively called my mom saying they were police org, fireman org, etc. It gets better they started calling pretending to be ******** trying to get personal information. When my mom would not give it. They started cussing at her and scaring her. Calling her by name telling her they know where she lives. I changed her number.

I received a call to solicit money for the drive for fallen and wounded officers. I stated to the caller Police don't call and solicit money. I actually did call the company that authorizes these calls and put my phone numbers on a Do Not Call List. The kind lady I spoke with stated it would take about 2 weeks for my numbers to be completely removed from the lists.
