The representative has called 7 times in a row this morning. I was polite the first three times and said we were not interested. He will not stop calling. We are going to block the number. This is harassment at this point and not appreciated.Business Response

They have been calling our business phone daily for several years. They do not give up no matter how many times we tell them we are not interested. They are trying to get us to sign up for a savings on RG&E (rochester gas and electric) although ive told them multiple times we are with a private and local electric company. I am filing a complaint against American Power and Gas for their aggressive and unethical sales tactics. Despite my repeated and clear statements that I was not interested in switching energy suppliers, their representatives continued to pressure me, becoming increasingly aggressive and refusing to end the call. I was belittled, lied to about the nature of the call being a "requirement," and then transferred to a manager who was equally rude. When I asked not to be contacted again, she shouted at me. This experience was extremely upsetting and unprofessional. I am requesting that they cease all contact with me immediately and that appropriate action be taken regarding their conduct.Business Response

For the last two years (with the most recent call being in the last week), its been the same issue all others have complained about:- they call telling you about your eligibility for a rebate - they demand you get your bill - they call multiple times in a row, even after asking them to not call back, remove from their list, that youre not interested, etc Theyve had a class action lawsuit and almost 150 BBB complaints, so I dont understand this A+ ratingBusiness Response

1. The salesperson misled me into agreeing to switch from the electric power supplier, assuring me that I could cancel the AP&G contract within the first three days of receiving the Welcome Package and return my account to the previous supplier. This point was discussed at least twice in detail. Instead, after I canceled the switch the first day after receiving the Welcome Package (and realizing all the unspoken problems with the contract), I was switched to the utility company. As a result, my rate increased from 5.5c/kwt to 9.2c/kwt.2. Afterwards, I attempted to sign up for a 3-month fixed-rate contract at 6.7c with AP&G but was rejected.3. AP&G sent me a $25 gift card with "no strings attached." I called them twice, and twice they promised to send me a coupon code by email. After thee+ weeks of waiting, I have received nothing.Judging by other complaints and non-BBB reviews, these deceptive practices seem systemic and may warrant an additional Attorney General complaint.Business Response

Multiple representatives from *** has contacted our office excessively (multiple times a day). We have asked them repeatedly to stop calling our office. We tell them we are not interested and they call back again and again. ****** stated that we don't know anything and just go get your billing ( from another company). They will not take no for an answer and they keep harassing the employees. I asked to speak to a manager three separate times, they refuse to let me speak to the manager and stated that I should just listen to what they say. This company has harassed us with phone calls after being told several times to take us off their list. I want the calls to stop. I don't want a phone call from them at all. I am the director of a preschool, have no business with this company, have spoken to them and told them to stop calling, and they continue to repeatedly call during school hours. If one of the teachers happens to pick up the phone, they are rude and harass them. I want the calling to stop.Business Response

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaint.
Our records show the agent placed one outbound call to the business location in question. During that call, the agent politely asked for the person listed in our records. The individual on the phone explained that the listed person had not been affiliated with the business for several years.Our agent acknowledged this and explained the reason for the call, which was to discuss energy supply options with the person responsible for the electric account.
At no point did our agent demand personal information or behave aggressively. In fact, the call ended shortly after the customer became agitated. Following the call, the customer began making repeated inbound calls to our office. Unfortunately, during these calls, our agents were subjected to threats of violence, vulgar and abusive language, and were not given the opportunity to speak or clarify the nature of our business. Any attempt to explain or de-escalate the situation resulted in the customer hanging up and calling back again in the same manner.
We understand that receiving unsolicited calls can be frustrating, and we take that feedback seriously. However, we do not tolerate harassment or threats against our employees under any circumstances.
Out of caution and in good faith, we have placed the customers number on our Do Not Call list, ensuring no further outreach will be made.
