invoice issued by Pediatrix for services allegedly provided to my newborn daughter during her stay at ********************************* Center from June 24 to June 26, 2024, in the total amount of $8,294 USD Dispute Reasons At no time during my daughters hospital stay did any physician affiliated with Pediatrix Medical Group present themselves to explain the nature of the treatment supposedly administered. We were not offered any consultation, diagnosis, or clear information about the billed services. We were never informed of or gave explicit consent for Pediatrix Medical Group to provide services to our daughter. This lack of communication represents an unacceptable breach of ethical and legal ************** birth, the decision to transfer my daughter to the *********************** Unit (NICU) was based on conflicting evaluations of her crying from two nurses. One nurse stated she cried appropriately, while the other expressed doubts. Although her ***** score was 9indicating a favorable clinical conditionan apparently unnecessary invasive approach was taken. This initial decision lacked a clear supporting diagnosis.According to the invoice, charges include items such as ********************************* ($6,456 USD) and *************************** ($1,183 USD).Although oxygen was reportedly required, it was administered for less than 24 hours. In fact, our daughters movements made it difficult to keep the nasal tubes in place, raising doubts about whether the respirator was truly used. It was suggested that she might have fluid in her lungs, but we were never given any studies to confirm this while she was under observation. Our daughter underwent frequent heel ****** for glucose monitoring without evidence of a medical condition (such as recurrent hypoglycemia) to justify them.Antibiotics were administered as a precaution, but no test results confirming any infection were provided. We had to request them ourselves and found that they had not been necessary.

I gave birth at the hospital on ******** and I was mailed a surprise bill from Pediatrix Medical group on 1/17/2025. I contacted my insurance company multiple of times to see if the charges was legitimate. At first I was told they have not heard of the company or received a claim from them. I attempted to talk to someone at Pediatrix myself, but the representative was very rude and was demanding I give her my whole social security number and date of birth. I declined to provide the information based on the fact I see so many complaints and claims of fraud. I continued to receive statements from Pediatrix for $497.66 for the the birth of my child on ******** (which is the incorrect date) and for hospital discharge on 9/6/2024. It was suggested I call my insurance company fraud department. After talking to a representative in the fraud department, he attempted to call Pediatrix to get more information, but he got the run around for a while. Then he finally got a claim number. He could not explain the incorrect date of service. Of course he could not tell me to pay or not pay it based on the information I addressed about the company online. I mailed the payment of $497.66 on 5/16/2025, but on 6/3/2025, I received a notice from ************* collection company for the debt. They are still attempting to collect funds for a debt that I have already paid for and also demanding my social security number. The representatives make it difficult to address the issue because they would not speak to me unless I give them my whole social, which I did not feel comfortable doing. I provided them the billing ID, account ID, and the information on the bill, but all they are concerned about is my social security number which was a huge red flag for me.

On 04/06/2025 our son ****** *** did a hearing test at *************************************. We received a letter from Pediatrix dated 04/29 that our insurance denied the claim but neither my nor my husbands insurance shows any record of them filing a claim. We immediately provided my husbands insurance information, under which our son is covered from his birth, but again they didnt file any claim and we just got another letter dated 05/27 stating the insurance company denied the claim. We ask that Pediatrix contact us and file the claim through my husbands insurance immediately.

I sent Pediatrix a dispute as below.I received a bill (ID ********* of $615.81 in my mailbox from Pediatrix for a non-existing virtual appointment with *** ******* ********** on May 1, 2024 at 9:30AM. I contacted Pediatrix and filed an appeal to dispute this charge since this appointment never happened. Even though I accessed the provided virtual meeting link and waited for 15 minutes, no one showed up from the other side. I thought that *** ******* ********** may have missed the meeting. However, I have not received any cancellation or any follow-up email from Pediatrix or any log in portal to see my status. Therefore, I called Pediatrix to clarify why this bill was still incurred and to acknowledge the status. As a result, I was informed that the appeal was denied because the provided evidence was not enough to prove that my virtual appointment did not happen. However, I was not convinced and I wanted Pediatrix to prove that the appointment happened by answering my questions. They replied me with a short answer stating that they did not have all the information on file and told me to send another dispute.Afterwards, my OB-GYN's nurse Brook had to help me schedule an in-person appointment on May 29, ************************ person. Furthermore, my OB-GYN *** ******** did emphasize that the appointment was necessary and I needed only ONE consulting session. If the previous virtual appointment did happen, why should I attend the in-person appointment? During the in-person visit, the front desk agent requested me to fill out patient information because they did not have any profile under my name and there was no record of information about me in Pediatrix. How can I have an appointment for a ** visit without having a patient profile? The call-in customer service was not helpful as she told me I cannot submit another dispute. She also would not do anything to help but told me to pay. All the detail are in the attached pdf and emails.

I received a letter in the mail from this company that I will be attaching to this ************ is a notice that I will soon be billed for a service rendered over a year ago when my baby was born.First and foremost, I was never notified that this care was optional. Second, they should have reached out to me immediately upon finding out that my insurance denied the claim due to an issue with my primary and secondary insurance at the time. I work for a new employer since then, with a new insurance company coverage. I no longer have any of the info from my previous insurance company in order to get someone on the phone. It has been over a year since my baby was born.Medicaid and other insurance carriers have time limits for the submission of claims, so it is likely that even if I were able to get in touch with them over this matter, that I would still be stuck with the bill. This is the first notice I ever received from them. I wouldnt be surprised if they never even contacted my insurance company a year ago and are just trying to get paid for this bill now but cant get the claim processed by the insurance company because they waited too long.

Pediatrix Medical Group sent me a bill for a medical procedure conducted on my son the day after his birth. I first received a letter that said they were trying to bill my insurance, but did not list the procedure or the doctor. Id never heard of them. I called to ask what the procedure was (hearing test) and to give my insurance information because the claim was getting denied. In total, I received three similar letters and each time I called & gave the same info. I finally received a bill, but it said they didnt have my insurance information on file. I called, we realized, they had my birthday wrong. I'm then asked to email a copy of the insurance card, I comply. Then Im asked to provide a coverage letter. (I switched insurance 12/24) I emailed the letter, to which I received a response asking to send my current insurance information. I asked why. No response. A few weeks later I received another bill, I called again, was told that someone had tried to call me, but now they don't need my current insurance information but they would need my sons ID number at the time of the service. No such number exists because he was less than a day old & all other procedures related to his care were tied to my insurance info. I called my former insurance, they said they have no record of receiving anything from Pediatrix. They also told me that Pediatrix was required to submit their claim within 90 days of the procedure. Procedure happened 5/1/24, the first comms I have is from 8/14/24. The bill was the first time a doctors name was included. I googled the doctor & based on the picture on Pediatrixs website, her ********** color do not match the person we saw. I would like Pediatrix to; Show documentation that the doctor on the bill is actually the person who conducted the service. Show the times they claim they were denied by insurance. Show that they actually attempted to bill insurance within 90 days. Provide in writing, what else they need to properly submit this claim.

My sons ended up in the **** on December 18th 2024- January 30th 2025. We were billed by Pediatrix for originally for $16,692.49, and there was an insurance issue so it took us 2 months to figure it out ourselves because Pediatrix was zero help. Then they charged us $11,249. 83. We called multiple times due to a lot of confusion, but eventually we came to an understanding and they said they would give us a 30% discount if we paid in full, and the offer would be valid for 60 days, and would have to pay within 30 days after accepting the offer. We called back within the 60 day time frame ready to accept the discount and pay in full, when they said they dont offer discounts, but they could see someone noted it in our chart and they were wrong to offer us a discount, and I believe they also said they would have to delete the discount that was written in our chart. We then talked to a manager and she said sorry we dont give discounts, and the she said sorry about the person that offered us a discount. We then looked up online when many people have said Pediatrix does give discounts. We have twin boys and we have been fighting this bill since receiving it with zero help from Pediatrix. They are trying to scam us out of our money and they go back and forth never holding onto their word.

I am writing to formally dispute an unexpected bill I received from Pediatrix Medical Group following my Cesarean section at ***************** on December 6, ******* no point during my care at ***************** was I informed that I would be receiving services from Pediatrix Medical Group. I did not sign any consent forms for their care, nor was I made aware that any of the medical professionals involved in my or my newborn's care were affiliated with a separate entity. All interactions led me to believe that I was receiving care solely under the ******************* system. There were no indications, such as identification badges, that suggested ************ previous experience giving birth at ***************** did not involve any separate billing from Pediatrix Medical Group, further reinforcing my assumption of receiving care exclusively from ********************I attempted to resolve this issue with Pediatrix Medical Group directly, but their explanations were unclear and contradictory. I was initially told they were medical providers and did not make the law, and in a subsequent call, I was informed they were merely a billing service for Covenant which contradicts the fact that Covenant has its own billing department.Given that I was never informed of or consented to receiving care from Pediatrix Medical Group, I should not be held responsible for this bill. I request your immediate investigation into this matter and a resolution that removes this unwarranted charge.

My daughter was born on ********* and was admitted to the hospital through 12/4/2023. Every bill that we have received from Pediatrix in relation to these dates of service have shown ***** as her primary insurance provider. Her primary insurance at the time of service was through ****, the Cigna was her secondary insurance through my husband's workplace. This was all on file with the hospital, all non-Pediatrix claims correctly went to BCBS and were fully covered, Pediatrix is the only one who continuously attempts to bill to Cigna. For each Pediatrix bill that I receive, I call the Pediatrix customer service line and update her insurance to her BCBS primary policy, and requested they re-submit claims. On 12/28/2024 (over a year after services were rendered), I received a new bill which again showed ***** as the primary insurance provider, despite my previous calls. This bill showed Cigna paid $111 and the remaining $225 was my responsibility. I called Pediatrix customer service on 12/30/2024 to again get the policy to correctly reflect her BCBS primary coverage and to have the claim submitted to the correct primary payer. The *** stated they would re-submit the claim to **** and the account would be on hold for 90 days while they await correspondence from insurance. At the end of January, I received another bill in relation to this claim, still showing the $225 balance being owed. I paid this $225 bill on 2/4/2025 since I had already updated her primary policy with you all to **** for this specific claim. I assumed the remaining balance was somehow our responsibility despite meeting our **** OOP max for the time of service. I planned to contact **** to see why they were not covering.I have now spoken with **** and inquired why they did not cover this, and they stated they never received any bill or correspondence from Pediatrix for this claim. I am looking for my payment of $225 to be refunded as the claim was never sent to my insurance.
